ChaddesdenRam
Michael Keane Simple enough cheers He won't stay with Bucko and Keogh now fit. Wasn't as good as either of them anyway
Guest
like him around as backup. Yes he was dreadful v Leicester, but who wasnt? He was a colossus at Huddersfield.

StaffsRam
Would like him to stay until the end of the season but I doubt it. Too much competition. He's clearly below Bucko and Keogh in the pecking order, we also have Whitbread, and OB can't be too far away from returning now can he?
Boycie
Rather keep Keane and let Whitbread go back. But as we have agreed to keep Whitbread, I can't see the need to keep another central defender? Unless he can play left back?
ChaddesdenRam
One poor game and written off, eh? No i base that opinion on more than just the Liecester game. If anything that should be ignored because everyone was poor vs the foxes. I think Keogh and Buxton are better than him. If he did renew his loan it would be a luxury to have him but i think he would want to play first team football.
Ambitious
I think he is a very good back-up and hope we can retain him, but as pointed out, he isn't as good as Buxton or Keogh, well, definitely not Buxton.

I tend to agree, certainly as far as experience and basic defending is concerned - but there will be many who disagree strongly (we know who they are). Leicester Ram
Him and Whitbread are very good back-up.
Gerry Daly
He appears a bit big headed and seems to think he will get in Man Utd's team at some point in the not too distant future. He said we are a 'stepping stone' I don't think he is much different to Daniel Ayala who we had at a similar age from a similar big club. Look what's happened to him
AndyinLiverpool
Well if Jonny Evans can get in their first team, who can blame him for thinking he can?
needles
I'd rather see him stay than leave, especially as I've heard he can cover full-back. Look vulnerable to an injury there at the moment.

Look what's happened to him Oh you know him personally do you to be able to say he's a big head? Suppose that makes Bamford one as well since he, like most loan signings, is using his temporary host club to further his career?
Gerry Daly
I said he 'appears' big headed. Admittedly I'm only basing that on a few interviews I heard Bamford comes over differently I think. He also shines out as a top, top talent. Keane doesn't, again in my opinion

Wolfie20
So which interview have you seen or comments read which makes you think Keane "appears big-headed"?
Boycie
Was it the one where he was blowing his own trumpet?
Carl Sagan
Hope we keep him as I think he's excellent backup. But I'll be very surprised he doesn't go elsewhere and be guaranteed to play. If that happens, we're OK as we are for now, with the next loan window soon to open in case of emeergencies.
Wolfie20
Maybe Keane illustrates part of the problem with loan signings. Unless they are bet than the player holding their role in the team, they sit on the bench too much and in his case, his choices will be going back to United and not even making the bench there, stay with us and wait for injury or loss of former before getting another chance or look for opportunities elsewhere. In his position, I'd probably be off because financially he won't lose out no matter what.

Being coached by excellent coaches? being not too far from home? being with a good bunch of lads? Being part of the squad but not always playing is part of the learning curve.
