Buzzing for this signing if we pull it off?

A couple of posters appear to have serious concerns that we might be fielding a team of geriatrics.
It will be no surprise if we have at least 4 players in the starting line-up against Oxford who will be 21 or under (Thompson, Bird, Cashin and Knight) and depending on pre-season form you could maybe add Sibley to that list which would make it half the outfield players under 22. I reckon to go into a League One campaign with more than that would be a huge mistake - alongside the young players we need experience and physicality in order to allow the youngsters to flourish.

I hope we sign Cambridge United forward Sam Smith. He's 24 and could be one for the future.
He was in fine form last season with 21 goals.
Of his 21 goals, Smith netted 15 times in League One as he played in all 46 matches, playing as a lead striker and a winger. Along with four goals in the EFL Trophy, Smith netted in both FA Cup ties against Northampton Town, with Cambridge reaching the FA Cup fourth round stage after claiming a giant-killing victory against Newcastle United at St James’ Park in the third round.
Portsmouth and Wycombe Wanderers are linked with him, but hopefully we can show some guts and sign him for Derby.
Would definitely show that we are not looking to stay in League one next season.
Currently derby are lacking this quality of striker.
Derby are however rumoured to be interested in David McGoldrick, who at 34 and based on recent seasons, would struggle to hit the target.

I couldn’t agree more mate. There really have been some dark days which we’ve shared and got through together. I think DC will be a good chairman to get us on a level footing and possibly sell us on in the not too distant future imo!

Thank you to everyone who has posted, whether fearing the worst or hopeful for the future, we have gone through this together.
And, by god, you have all helped me get through this dark time. Bless you.

They couldn’t do anything but appoint Rosenoir at this stage. We are frighteningly behind the eight ball with regard to putting a squad together and Rosenior and co are our best bet to stopping our current squad disappearing. Very difficult times for LR and probably a temporary appointment.

They limited the number of the u12 freebies.  On a first come first served basis.
Don't ask me what the numbers were, as I don't have a clue, but certainly not every adult STH could get a free u12 to go with it.

You get a football CEO who integrates a style of play along with the present manager which is undertaken throughout the club. If that manager doesn’t work out, you look for another manager who is used to playing a similar style and therefore won’t need to make wholesale changes to the squad.

We're not in a position to sign anyone yet. If the takeover isn't finalised or the promised financing doesn't appear we will just have to play kids.
I hate the EFL as much as the next man, but put your pitchfork down in this instance. They're just saying we'll have to play the kids if we're still in no position to sign anyone.
