As long as he's not the only one this is fine. Ideally we want another 2 through the door which will help share the goals around.

One of Ladapo , Smith , Hogan + loan u23 would be good

Think this is a shrewd signing, different to Collins as he runs about a lot where as Collins is more of a poacher. Think Washington would complement the wingers and fullbacks a lot with his running down the channels. Give me a proper fox in the box and some creative number 10s and next season looks promising
Pace and power id imagine if knight goes he’ll go all out for Ladapo what do you reckon ?

Well that’s two strikers we now have who don’t score goals.
Give it a rest Collins has had three seasons of 15+ . With Washington doing all the work Collins can stay in the box. Washington is a hold up player. I’d expect knight is sold and we use that money on a pacey striker

How much would Nombe cost? 1 million, maybe 1.5?
Around £1m I’d say I’d prefer testing the water with Langstaff

Micah Hamilton CAM/LW Man City u23 never been on loan - 19 year old 12 goals 6 assists
Morgan Rogers - LW/RW/FW - Man City u23 on loan at Blackpool last season had a decent loan spell at Lincoln a few seasons ago -6ft 4 20 year old
slobadan Tedic - CF - Man City u23 on loan at Barnsley last season didn’t hit many but big target man 23 years old

Not fussed - no definite link to say we were ever seriously interested.
I agree tbh although he would have been a good option lots of rumours including Rodrigues probably came around from agents throwing derbys name in to either drive up the price or cause a wage war!
I fully expect Warne to pursue Ladapo and eventually get him maybe more likely if Knight goes to Ipswich

I bet this so called relaxed business plan means we can only spend what we generate or max spend of about £200k and 3 year deals so not so much relaxed as some think.
Up side is if we sold night for £1.5-2m we can use that money.
having seen May join Charlton for £250k on a three year deal
-
Genuine question how much would do you think Langstaff at Notts county would cost ?
-
I think it will be the following
Washington or another free agent - Friday or Saturday
knight gone by the start of the season £ 2m roughly
money for knight
sign another striker for a fee £500-1m
WB on loan - championship/ premier league
CAM - signed for fee - £750k roughly
W/FW- from premier league on loan fee

No.
£5m is rubbish remember Marriott they quoted lots of numbers it turned out it was £2.5m + lots of add ons.
clarke Harris I would take £1.5-2m ideally tops score the goals get us out the league. It has to be a 50/50 split with our signings long term sustainability and short term rewards for promotion.

Well, I started going in 2003 and that match I attended that day was dire! Walsall won 1-0, and Pablo Mills was sent off. first season ticket was 06/07,which I really enjoyed and again Mac 13/14. Overall, though the fact I was born in 1995, meant that I missed out on Jim Smith seasons. I hope in a few years time, we can talk about a new exciting era for Derby.

I knew it was red, black and white. from the advert it looks, like a trio of wavy lines with a black collar it looks really good very retro

Is this what you hope or is there actually some substance to this 🤔
It’s what I hope bar Bradley flint and Lindsey- Bradley looks like he’s signed but I think flint might also be considered this would allow Forsyth to cover both lCB and LWB so the Wingback Warne mentions I’d assume is on the right

These the names you heard Simmo? Bradley and Flint?
Bradley and flint both on trial/ training as for strikers- May , Ladapo , Washington and u23 one but I can’t remember the name.
I can only really see ladapo coming if it was part of a deal for knight

That would be just our kind of luck!
End of the day, he's got to train somewhere at this stage of pre-season, so if the the deal is all but done, it makes sense for it to be with his new team mates.
Interesting that it's been suggested by @Big Travthat there's a few players training with us, yet no word has come out about any of them and nobody has seen them?
Charlie Lindsey
Sonny Bradley
flint
Top one has been confirmed

I think the reality is we probably aren’t as flexible as we hope to be.
I think the more leeway will include: 3 year deals instead of 2, able to pay loan-fees and able to use money we have generated from sales. So based on the reports, anywhere between £400k-1m for Bielik

Bit of a change in direction going from schools to Carlisle ain’t it?
Haha 😂 who said men couldn’t multitask playing professional football, coaching the England youth team and managing Carlisle all the while controlling class behaviour and setting homework 😂

Ive got massive respect for anyone who manages to teach for that long. Given the tales my kids tell me about what goes on at their secondary school id rather work in a prison!
A mate has just retired from teaching after 23 years through ill health/stress/depression. his first day working with us was a real eye opener: "people I support are actually nice to me here"
well done Simmo!
Thank you, the biggest thing was after his brain haemorrhage, having to get the respect of his students and staff again. But teaching autistic students they were blunt , swore and were very black and white rather than tip toeing around the subject which he really embraced!
Sometimes at the match it can be a problem with the lack of filter but having the opportunity to go with him to watch the rams outweighs the occasional nudge by me or head in my hands! 😂
Conor Washington - signed on a two-year-deal

For context before Mcgolderick’s 22 last season , he only had 5 seasons of double figures out of about 15-16 seasons 134 goals .
Washington has 161 goals in less seasons. I fully expect him to outweigh his expectations.
