For me it’s about being creative with our finances + some better loans save the money for two quality players.
personally this is what I’d do
GK - renew wildsmith + add a young lad as third choice
RB - fine
CB - fine
LB - maybe keep sibley + go after burrows at boro
CM- release- hourihane, maybe smith pay as you play , sign Adams and maybe loan player + herbie Kane on a free or Brannagan ( bird replacement)
W- release barks - maybe get dembele on loan from Celtic or another prem loan
SK - release all out of contract bar Collins , maybe a cheaper competition like Alfie May / Cole on a free or try to sign Langstaff or a lower league player with potential.

Wooooh! Hang on.
1 - There's a decent looking bar in Borrowash?
2 - It's owned by Ben Osbourne?
3 - Surely we should be reading something into this? What with his deal with Utd bout to expire?
Joking aside it’s a pretty good micro indie bar actually.
I thought it was strange it was closed for a private party yesterday daytime.Ben’s a spondon lad and his family are all huge rams fans

Dear Paul Simpson, hope you are reading this blog and still have some love for Derby County (the team you made most appearances during your 679 playing career total). Please do not turn up at Pride Park with the intention of ruining the party. Play your fringe players and youngsters, get them ready for next season in League Two.
Afterwards (providing Carlisle do not win) go and milk the applause from the Derby Fans, whom a lot of them will remember you playing for the Rams in the Artur Cox/Roy McFarland/Jim Smith times.
He might as well start the bounce too 😂

Breaking news:
Gateshead have been kicked out the playoffs by the EFL and National League
Gateshead have been barred from taking part in the National League play-offs after failing to meet the entry criteria for membership of the English Football League.
The club failed to secure a "10-year security of tenure" at the International Stadium, where they have played since 1971-72, by 1 March.
feel for Dejaune this stinks!!! 😡

The guy would not shut up about amortisation. Gibson used those constant ramblings to start his own.
Tbh it went like this :
EFL announce new TV money deal = Mel disapproves and starts a campaign against EFL= they turn against him = EFL approves DCFC’s amortisation structure = Maguire writes an email to EFL to highlight how such a scheme actually works = EFL charge Derby = Middlesbrough jump on the bandwagon = Derby acquitted = appeal = different panel = derby found guilty = then ambulance wants some piece of the action = EFL want to use Derby as a scapegoat for their failings to properly outline a FFP plan and to be seen to be doing a better job.

Why don’t we go full Ryanair and have pitch side seats at €5 a piece. You bring your own fishing chair and have to perform a dual role as a ball boy.

My head says 1-1 with a red card and multiple injuries for Bolton but I can’t look past at least 3-0 Bolton
-
Surely dropping CBT would be the most pathetic thing possible and crush the guys confidence. I’d start him. But I don’t want to see that lanky cart horse at the back or Washington anywhere near the team.
I’d go with 4-3-3
wildsmith
same back 4
adams
hourihane Smith
Ward if fit Collins and CBT
id rest NML he looks burnt out.

To be honest, my original predictions for results are so far looking bang on. Only exceptions I had us losing to Wycombe and I didn’t expect Barnsley to lose at Charlton.
so before the Blackpool game I had
Blackpool - W
portsmouth D
Wycombe - L
orient W
Cambridge W
Carlisle W
So from the 5 games = 13/18
currently = 5/9 if we win the next three that’s 14 points from 18 far better than I expected.

Wycombe 1-0 Red card to Derby
but also Portsmouth 3-0 vs Bolton and we stagger over the line into 2nd

Out of our current squad, who would be good enough to establish themselves as a championship regular in a upper half team or maybe be a decent be.ch player.
Could anyone still play if we got promoted to the Premier League?
Wildsmith
cashin
nelson
wilson
nyambe
adams
NML
CBT
maybe smith
Collins

Has warne decided that he prefers Smith/adams in midfield now? or has hourihane got a niggle. Smith has been brilliant in my opinion and the midfield has looked so much more mobile. Ward has taken over on set pieces and every single one has been class. Thompson has been brill when he comes on aswell.
I think we had the last start for hourihane I think unless we see injuries he will only come on now

Personally I wouldn’t due to the risk. I’d be tempted to go after Langstaff, Cole or the guy at Stockport who I think might be able to make the step up.
there’s lots of players out of contract too!
