As others have said I’m keen to move on from discussing Kirchner at length, but I do think those that are keen to bash Quantuma at every opportunity seem to ignore this key point. They weren’t alone in being convinced/fooled by CK; Cook and Stretford were backing him, two experienced football people. Rooney bought into it, likely on his agent’s advice. As well as those in charge at Preston as he got to a point in pursuing ownership there (without Quantuma’s involvement) and not forgetting the EFL also who approved it all and saw proof of funds.
It’s either that he was genuine and something changed last minute or he was very good at hoodwinking a lot of people. Whatever the situation was, it’s done, nothing now will change that.
I’ve said it before, once this takeover is done and if the full facts are shared leading to proof that Quantuma failed in their duties then they should be punished accordingly. They’ve not met our expectations as administrators, they’ve let us down with timeframes, false promises, and ultimately the squad/club was weakened on their watch. But this situation has always been a complex mess with multiple “villains” contributing throughout. The club looks like it’s going to be saved and creditors paid which is what Q we’re appointed to do; I know lots of people hold grudges and still want their pound of flesh, but for me I’m just keen to focus on today and the future, supporting the club and the team on the pitch. ?

Scary to think that many of the fans in this photo are now in their mid to late 50s including myself! Can't belief it was 37 years ago and looking forward to returning to Lincoln this season.

Uttoxram62 reacted to Leeds Ram in New manager, who do you want?
Rosenior feels like a massive risk at this point. We've got an absolute threadbare squad with little time and a small budget at first to build a squad that can compete at the right end of the division. Whilst Clowes will be the savior to begin with, how long will that goodwill last if we start struggling in the third division.... Rosenior whilst being a no.2 has never been a no.1 and is now the right time to be gambling on him making that leap? I totally understand why some people want Rosenior and time is not in our favour but I'm not entirely convinced.

After having a think on the news, I'm still not sure how I feel. The timing is terrible, and in some ways his show of loyalty was very easy from a 'no-lose' situation. No-one rightly blamed him that we fell through the trap door and he won significant kudos for sticking by us. But now he'll come under scrutiny, in for a real fight in the third division he's bailed at the last minute. I'm not overly pleased tbh and it doesn't look good. If he's done it for his wife and his kids that's fair enough, but he should have let the administrators know before this juncture if that is the reason. If he thought he could manage at a higher level than the third tier then again actually let us know beforehand so we can sort out his replacement. I think it's pretty poor from Rooney this.

Sorry for your grief David , but like many others I did not shed any tears. His win rate was terrible and as for his loyalty - I don’t think he showed Cocu very much. Stretford has had a re-think and getting Rooney’s coaching badges is the way to go. We have a new owner and he will decide who is manager. I am looking forward to getting my season tickets and glad the circus is over.

Steve Morgan is our Chairman, he wears a philanthropic hat
He was a Housebuilder and then a Wolverhampton t**t
He bought us for a fortune; he thought us worth a punt
After Morris left us potless, the stupid f**cking c**t

The alarm bells were absolutely ringing for me. If I recall correctly, quite a few forum posters were relaxed about it. Some even suggesting it was a smart move. Overconfident in Mel's business acumen (at the time) perhaps?

Kirchner did not pay wages. Not a chance. Forget it. Never happened. Complete shyster. We were given hope by the EFL and Q approving him as 'fit and proper' and accepting his proof of funds, only to be let down as usual.
Also...everyone who had a pop at Ed Dawes last Monday, now's your time for a public retraction and apology.

Perhaps Mel should come out and explain why the stadium is holding up the takeover then, despite him promising it would not?

Today, Mel Morris had within his gift one final gesture of goodwill to our club, that would have let us celebrate our survival together in our home with a new owner.
Instead, he chose for whatever reason to deny us this final solace, in what has been our toughest season for many decades.
I've always tried to understand the difficulties he has faced, the money he poured into the club, the intransigence of the EFL, the outside factors at play.
But my patience has worn thin lately, and today it has snapped altogether.
You've lost the club, Mel, you've lost our club. You've lost all respect, you've lost our respect.
No matter what you do from this point forward you will never redeem yourself in my eyes.

Time to change the lyrics, and make it more topical and relevant to our situation.
I won't try and circumvent the swear filter, but I'm sure you'll get the drift if you see this topic before it disappears!
Mel Morris is a banker,
He wears a bankers hat,
He said he loved our Derby,
But he's a ducking twit.
He said that he would sell us,
And wanted just a pound,
But he's a lying bar steward,
And took away our ground.

Derby are one of the biggest clubs outside of the Premiership, ground, training facilities, fans, season ticket holders etc. To get that for half it cost Man City to buy Jack Grealish still seems a bargain to me….

After it is all over, Í really do hope there is an enquiry in to the way Quantuma have conducted this. As a supporter and as a tax payer I believe it needs to be made transparent at the end- sale or liquidation particularly

And me, I was merely trying to be light hearted and responded to @curb with a funny continuation of his "My Way" theme to try and cope with the tragic situation in the age old way of sardonic black humour.
It obviously failed miserably!
