Embarrassing post from a bitter fan?

So Sean Robertson offered a contract with both parties really keen. Apparently a young winger/fullback from Villa coming on loan. Wouldn’t surprise me to see 3 loans. We’re still on the hunt for ‘experienced’ RB and GK. Jamal Blackman was an option but now since signed for Exeter. If I hear stuff I’ll put it on here ?
I'd love for Robertson to sign up. RB and outwide is where we are short then we can move Knight back to CM.

Frees up wages from a player who doesn't want to be here for a couple who do.

Really want us to sign this lad. Looks properly lively. In a makeshift team I thought he was the standout performer. His goal was obviously a thing of beauty, but he also looked calm and effective in defence and he seems to have a deal of technical ability.
In LR we trust, but IMO he'd be a really good addition to a squad for whom another RB is a top priority.
Another RB is a must whoever it is. Byrne can do one.

If I remember rightly having made the stray pass he tackled back got the ball and set us on our way again. That was good to see.
11 hours ago, StaffsRam said:He was impressive whenever he got the ball, mostly. One occasion I remember with a stray pass, but other than that looked really tidy. His mentality was to take people on, used his pace well and got in a few decent crosses. He looked a real handful for the first 15 minutes and then we stopped playing it down that side. Came back into the game a lot more in the second half and again looked useful. His goal was very good!
Well said. He looked a tidy player with pace and determination and would be a good addition to the squad..

A small loan fee and Birmingham paying his wages, it may not be the worst move for us. Then IF we get promoted he may come back play for us in the Championship again.

It should be a good chance to see some of the youngsters get a run out (some may be needed to at some point during the season). Plus you never know what trailists may pop up.
Support the boys and a local community based club in Matlock Town FC.

I think he has obvious talent and appears young and hungry which will supplement the experienced heads we have signed. We also plays in two positions we are light in (RB and outwide) so it is a no brainer for me to start discussions. He will get much more first team football with us than Sheff Utd too.
He shouldn't have crazy wage demands either.

We do. U21s play Matlock Friday.
True. I forgot about this one, hopefully he will get another chance to shine then as he certainly impressed on Saturday.

I think after last nights performance he deserves his own thread. A free agent after leaving Crystal Palace, surley he made a strong case for talks about a possible contract last night? Appears that he can play right wing or right back.
Shame we don't have another friendly to play him in.

Fantastic news about Fozzy. I think he adds so much both on and off the pitch. I have confidence in Fozzy and Roberts to cover the left back spot..

Like a festy and Malcolm love child. Seems to have the best of both players and can finish
Hopefully we can get him signed up. He would be an exciting addition to the sqaud.

I hope we aren't waiting for the Byrne situation to be sorted before we can get a right back in. If he doesn't want to play for us surley we should just release him before we becomes a negative influence.

Robson lad impressed me tonight played well desevse that goal but on a whole a little bit concerning these lads been thrown togather so going to take time to gel.
But on little bad note some little idouts teenage lads outside the ground terrace bit trying claim In but stewards stopped them but at half time start throwing stones and dog poo bags but after great big branch of a tree threw it into the stand that could really really badly hurt somebody but steward threw back over loads people said why did throw back over but did not come back over.
But one bloody stones hit me not very big but bloody hurt me.
Glad you are okay and safe B4. There are idiots everywhere.
I thought Robertson was impressive and dangerous going foward. Do you think we will give him a contract?

What a goal by Robertson. From the little I have seen of him he looks impressive. Could he provide another option outwide at times ?

Well according to Nixon he's a right back we've got on trial.
But the telegraph saying he's part of the front 3?
But he's a right back.
So we've got a right back on trial. Whos playing in attack ?
1 hour ago, Rample said:Right wing, looks lively.
50 minutes ago, RoyMac5 said:Out on the wing. He looks good - sign him up now!
Maybe he is a right back who has been converted to play right wing? he sounds promising and we are short of numbers out wide (and at right back).
I think the lack of a pre season is showing at a bit as we should be better than this tonight.
-
Be interesting to see how the trialists do. Where is Robertson playing?

With McGoldrick in the team I would go Smith RB as he has experience there and Hourihane can play next to Bird.
Otherwise id go Knight RB, Smith CDM and Hourihane CAM

25 minutes ago, Big Bad Bob said:I've had a crazy thought about a potential for the right back position and it's probably not one of my better ideas. But what about Liam Thompson for the full back slot? He's tenacious, gets a tackle in, can move with the ball and can pass. Bombing forward and crossing isn't his usual role, but I think he may have the attributes to potentially fill that role?
Thoughts?
Hopefully this is stop gap and we actually get a natural right back to fill this role.

I wonder if a right back wont/cant be signed until the Byrne issue is resolved
Are we at the point where offer to meuturally agree to end his contract. To allow him to find a new club and for us to move on without him freeing up his wage.
-
For me the priority has to be an established right back to avoid playing people out of position there, sign up Fozzy and another versistile wide man. I like both Barkhuizen and Mendez-Laing but we need someone to provide them with competition and coverage outwide.

This would be a fantastic addition to thr sqaud. Young, hungry and can play across the front three.
