I'm still going to say a little prayer for Kirchner tonight.
Rightly or wrongly I will feel very sorry for him if he doesn't end up owning the club, as it just seems like he will have been swallowed up and spat out by bigger, more experienced players with more nous.
Come on Chris, as many of us are with you as are against you, get the job done.

Agreed. Comparing them is bit like comparing Buchanan and Forsyth. They play same position but have so different playing styles that comparing is hard if not impossible.
I wish one of them stays. If we played in Premier League, I'd take Roos due his excellent shot stopping skills. But in League One we should be favourite in most games so Alsop higher concentration and ball-playing skill gets a nod from me.

Now remastered and brought up to date. This has been mentioned many times, usually in reference to the old cassettes it came on, but here it is, available for all.

Wouldn’t say you’re being overly cynical at all.
Wayne Rooney is a global superstar, currently managing the city’s football club, both himself and Frank Lampard have put Derby on the map.
It’s good for the city, they will want him around for as long as possible, this is nothing more than an attempt to really stamp the city into his heart off the back of an incredible season in terms of uniting it.
There is no other logical explanation. We haven’t won anything, it hasn’t been a long successful tenure, even without the points deduction it wasn’t like we would have been doing anything crazy like pushing top 6.
Which even if we did, I still don’t think it would be worthy of the status.
It’s something that will be forever in his Wiki biography, make national news as we permanently attach ourselves to a global superstar.
If anyone truly believes it is based on his achievements this season, shall we create a list of football managers both at Derby and across the country that should now be given freedom of the city status?
Saying all that, I’m not angry, disappointed or have any real emotion towards this, just simply believe it hasn’t been earned but have no control or input into these decisions.
I do think it will work though, his attachment to the city will become stronger but it will get really awkward now if we underperform next season.
There was always going to be more pressure going into this season, but this has notched it up a tad.

We are actually officially the best team to have ever been relegated to League One.
I don’t mean that in an arrogant way. This team, in a season with deductions, would have finished on 55 points (I’d say more as we checked out against Bristol City and Cardiff), and we would have finished in 17th place, above seven other teams.
People look at how Ipswich, Charlton, Bolton and Sunderland have struggled down there. Yes, but they got relegated with far less points and therefore a worse team.
I don’t think many of League One’s current top eight would finish above 17th in the Championship. Therefore our current team is better (or has more quality) than every other League One side right now.
A lot can happen over the summer. But if we keep this squad and improve it, we have to be looking at automatic promotion.

We can't afford Lawrence. His wages are far too high for our budget. It doesn't matter whether CK is worth £5m or £5bn he can only put a finite amount of money into the club without breaking FFP.
We will be operating on a similar or even smaller budget than many League 1 clubs due to us having to pay creditors 35% over three years which will have to come out of club income.
    Tough road ahead still.

Well derby county has survived were likes of steve gibson tried and failed to send us out of business and efl might have sent us down but they have not divided us far far far from it but brought us closer to derby county they might have won the battle but were about win the freaking war with them. I even think that tried to make rooney walk away from us guess again rooney loves derby county and guess what derby county fans love rooney he has stood by us when nobody else would and for that he has respect to city of derby and is about to get freedom of derby. I think personal he going to bring back glory days that derby had under brain clough is way I think rooney could be new brain clough in the making.

As usual Sambas cheating goes unpunished.
I'm looking forward to the final because VAR is going to be used and no team in the whole of the football league foul at corners as much as For*st. Every set piece, McKenna, Garner and Cook wrestle the person they are marking to the floor. Just Hope that there is a strong ref and an even stronger VAR official

On a separate note, whilst we're all full of bonhomie, let's just take a moment to salute Jake Daniels, a brave 17 year old young man, with a brilliant future in the game, who chose today to publically come out.
It shouldn't even be a thing in 2022… but Sir, I salute you.
