If we're going to do this we should do it properly. Let's try and rack up the biggest points deduction in a single season in football league history.
    -12 for admin
    -3 for unpaid wages
    -12 for ffp
    What else can we do?

Notice too that Rob Dorsett concludes his timeline on DCFC with:
    "Sep 21 - deducted 9 points"
This kind of gratuitous faux-journalism is how rumours and supposition can get normalised through repetition, and become seen as fact, rather than ongoing speculation.
If you asked fans of other clubs about the DCFC saga they would already say: 'you got deducted 9 points, didn't you?'
All this damaging spam from hacks helps to underline and legitimate the EFL's hopes or aims IMHO.

Lots of people here seem to think having forest on the board makes them more likely to dislike Derby. I disagree, I don't think there's anything between Derby and forest owners, if anything keeping the other in the division means a game where they can sell more tickets at higher prices... It's in forest and derbys interest for the other to be in the league, but not for a team like boro.

And protesting against Mel, who we know is trying to sell the club, will achieve what exactly? If anything, it could be counter productive if he chooses to throw his toys out the Priam.

Sadly no FFP when Watford bought half of its feeder club on loan , Wolves got The super agent client , Leicester we’re bankrupted but some how cleared there debt and Southampton the same. Then QPR broke FFP but got promoted so just got a fine

Not quite EVERY trick - there's the scams that Leicester, Wolves and Watford pulled and got away with that we haven't used yet.

So why don't the EFL announce and publish the exact rule we have broken and punish us accordingly. I said last week, they need to ? or get off the pot.

Do you, or anyone that liked your post, honestly think the EFL are working honourably, with the best interests of the game at heart and aren't solely focused on bringing Mel Morris down?
It isn't a vendetta against Derby, it's a battle of egos between Rick Parry and Mel Morris, club and fans are collateral damage.

Whoever people decide to protest about, it will be a colossal waste of time.
Protest about the ownership - so what? We all know Mel wants to sell and will do so as soon as possible. We also know that the club are trying to get out of the predicament we are currently in. Protesting isn't going to make that process go any faster. Protest about the mistakes have been made? Well, OK but you can't change what has happened so what's the point?  Does anybody at the club think the fan base is happy and needs to be disavowed of that opinion? I shouldn't think so.
Protest against the EFL? Go ahead - they won't care and it won't lead to any rule changes. That will only happen - and I agree that they should - when all of the clubs start protesting. But it suits other clubs to see us 'get done' so they won't lift a finger to help (and they may not agree that the rules of stupid either). As far as the EFL are concerned, all they are doing is applying the rules that they think we have broken. I imagine they are quite happy and smug about the whole situation.
If people want to waste their time - and it makes them feel better - then go for it. I'm sure a bit of venting might be cathartic to some. But it will have zero positive impact on anything else. If a protest does occur, then I hope it happens after the match rather than before or during, as the one impact it might have is unsettling the team.

This. Why don't we all save our energy for getting behind the team. Our club does not need any more bad publicity.

I'm no fan of Mel anymore, he deserves a lot of the stick he receives, same with Pearce, but, protests shouldn't be aimed at them, they should be aimed squarely at the EFL.
It surprises me that some fans haven't clicked onto who the real enemy are. Protesting against Mel Morris will have Rick Parry licking his lips, and Steve Gibsons no doubt. Any protest against Mel, regardless of our feelings, is another dent against the club.
Protests need to be pre-arranged, before and after the game, banners with words to the effect that the EFL are destroying football. The media need to know so the protests get air time and we need a spokesperson who can appear in the media and give facts as to why we feel we are being harshly treated. Such as; if the EFL hadn't signed off all our accounts we wouldn't have paid 10 million for Bielik, or 4 million for Jozwiak, or x amount for Wayne Rooney.
In all of this, we don't have anyone visibly representing Derby and trying to set our story straight.
I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of the EFL and Rick Parry, I would rather see us play non-league football and fight them to the hilt than bend over and accept guilt!
If Mel Morris reads this (he won't), you have made lots of mistakes, but you have my full backing on this, fight the barstewards right to the very end, don't accept any points deduction, at least until the EFL accept liability also.
Protest against the EFL not Mel!

Saturday 7th May, Derby County Vs Cardiff City 12-30pm K Off.
Derby County are 4 points clear of the relegation zone, Forest, Hull and Blackpool have been relegated, We can not be relegated, Cardiff City need a win to to stay in a play off place.
DCFC have been in Embargo all season, And have by all the odds not been relegated, Several of our players are walking wounded, 2 are suspended, We only have 15 available players to choose from and 3 of those are goalkeepers, DCFC are forced to pick a team that is seriously broken...we get beaten 0-6...Coventry, Hudds, Boro, QPR and Brum are in uproar as they were chasing the last place, Boro needed to win by more goals than Cardiff and miss out as they won 5-0,Boro believe we threw the game.
As one person said many years ago..."I'd love it-just love it.

Whether the guide has been removed or not, our 'alleged' offences were over the same 3 year FFP P&S period as Sheff Wed and therefore they should use the same guidelines for us.
I also find that there is no indefinite period for this to go on is nothing short of holding a gun to Mels head.  I think he may just tell the EFL to GTF and go down the disciplinary route.   My understanding of Mel is that he is very headstrong and often will not take advice from those around him.  I'm guessing that is why we are in the complete mess we are in.....
I would not be in the slightest bit surprised if Mel just tells the EFL to go down the disciplinary route if the punishment is not going to be capped at 3 - 6points.....
One final point - This can't be a punishment for the amortisation of players as we've already been punished £100K for that, it must be to do with the way that the accounts have been resubmitted and the EFL have another p*ssy on, because we presented them again in a legal way of accounting practices that the non-financially trained EFL do not like.....  Tough they should accept it and just close the loop and give clear direction on how amortisation of players should recorded.
Part of me hopes that Mel does take them on no matter how long it takes, then sue them, should we lose our Championship status, after wrongly hounding us for the last 18 months.  Other clubs including Boro have done similar things with zero comeback, yet Derby seem to ne the whipping boys, as someone has said because of the TV deal.....

That's been a case from almost every outlet that has had anything to say about this process from start to finish a couple of years ago. It also, at least in my mind, is one of the reasons that so many fans of other clubs carry the perception that we are guilty beyond all possible doubt.
Not one news agency has taken a step back, done any reasonable analysis and published something close to the actual situation, at least not from what I have seen.

If the EFL had a cast iron, watertight case they would slap us with a points deduction immediately and dare us to appeal it. They haven't done that, which could indicate that they aren't entirely sure.
On the other hand, if we were totally bang to rights and had a 0% chance of winning an appeal we would take whatever was on offer and just get this over with.

The really ominous line from the EFL which comes across as a threat is:
"There are no timescales for this matter to be concluded and the League will not be providing any further comment at this time."
This is a not so subtle message to Derby that "either you agree to us punishing you with a hefty deduction or we'll keep you in embargo for ever and you'll never be able to sell your club, Mr Morris. Which will serve you right for trying to lead a breakaway TV deal."

This has gone on far too long now and I'm fed up with it.
However if Mel and his lawyers feel that our case is watertight and we've done nothing wrong then I would be taking this to court and clearing our name.
If they feel it's 50/50 then we're just gonna have to take it on the chin and move on.
