Think this is just a testament to how good Wildsmith has been.
He is a great keeper, particularly for this level, perhaps the best signing we have made in a few years.

It's such a false dichotomy you're posing. You strip out the context and pose a pointless question which no one can really answer. If over time you play well more often than not you'll win more games than lose. If over time you play poorly you'll see your form drop off. What people are concerned about is a pattern of poor play which will see results drop off.
Personally, if we had played well over the past 6 weeks and we played well yesterday and lost I'd be less concerned than seeing consistent patterns of poor play as we saw yesterday and winning. Winning when playing poorly is acceptable and even the mark of a good team if it occurs occasionally. If it happens consistently it speaks to something much more concerning that has the potential to go badly wrong. A bit like our terrible start to the season which could have seen Warne given the chop.

We can only get away with playing poorly and winning for so long, the manager doesn’t appear to be addressing the issue .

Well we did at Oxford. It seems like we sometimes play like a team that deserves promotion. And other times we don't. A bit like all the other teams trying to get promoted.

I am worried because we only have one fit striker and too many of our “stars” have older legs. They don’t turn it on every week because they can’t. I am also worried that our manager is a bit inflexible on his starting midfield; but those things apart, results show that we are a team that are challenging for promotion .. where does your “deserve” come from ? For me they deserve to be where they are on the basis of the results they have achieved over the last 20 odd games.
Ipswich last year and Peterborough this year are the only teams I have seen recently that played significantly better quality football all round than we do. This is league one, we are in it and in a strong 4th place. It is well deserved !

You should apply whatever metric you want Jordan. But until we play like a team that deserves promotion, we should all be worried

I’m disappointed when we continually put in mediocre performances. That’s not because I’m a football purist (tho I’d strongly prefer to see good football). It’s because if we play mediocre football we’ll probably miss automatics and probably fail to beat Barnsley, Bolton or Peterborough over two legs

    Not so strange
Morris might have said: I own the stadium (worth £81m) and I’ll sell it to the purchaser of the club for £40m. Instead, he sold it to DC for £23m.

Maguire is making the point that Morris lost a large part of his fortune and - at the end of the day - facilitated the deal with DC. A point that’s lost on most fans

People need to get over it. He will have made mistakes, but it's clear to me he also has regrets. Despite that, and still getting abused by fans, he has stuck by the club to make amends. Quantuma felt he was worth keeping around. Clowes has made the decision to keep him as his CEO. Move on.

No, no, no, Pearce is a key cog in a  conspiracy that reaches the very highest level of world governments and is overseen by the Master Overlord that is Mel Morris.

Warne’s RD interview was interesting. He magnanimously said he brings Bradley on to score from set pieces and since he didn’t score, that was one Warne got wrong. Apart from that …  it’s all down to the players.

The problem is : if the players are continually blamed and if they don’t believe in him as a tactician, then they lose their motivation. And his ‘gas out’ approach can only work if they are 100% motivated.

Players enjoy playing good football. He needs to find a way to get them playing better football
