kevinhectoring reacted to Tamworthram in The Administration Thread
Looking at the BBC sports website Wycombe are currently bottom of league 1 (on alphabetical order ?). Let's hope, just for their owner (nothing against the club or it's fans) they still are at the end of the season.

Agree with you about the WW claim

Well except that the unsecured creditor claims will presumably be paid by q/old DCFC, as will MsD and hmrc. So in this case you’d think the liabilities transferred will exclude various things. I doubt DC has assumed any liability to WW

Rams TV is also a revenue raiser for the club !! But I see that as usual Angieram has a better idea

I think Derby County Community Trust might continue their fund to buy tickets for families who can't afford it. If they do, you'd be putting money into the club and adding to the matchday atmosphere. What's not to like about that?

Yes that’s it. Seems the DCdeal involved that company selling the club and its business to DC’s newco. (That transfer was what enabled Lee Buchanan to argue he was not under contract, on the basis his employer had changed so he could repudiate (bit disappointed he did that))
anyway the company you identify has owned the club and been called that since the 1880s. Hopefully they will find a way to transfer the old name to the newco once the old company is liquidated

kevinhectoring reacted to curb in New signings, who will be first...and next?
It didn’t sound like that at all, it sounded like he wants to sign for another year, but when he’s finished he wants to go into media.
He said he’s not interested in coaching, but didn’t rule it out at some point in the distant future. He’s probably only saying that in case the media career doesn’t come off.
my guess is that his contract he signs with us will give him the leeway to start doing media work, similar to what RSav did in his last season.

I would imagine that after a season on 'minimum' wage, Davies is expecting the club to play fair with him and give him a deal nearer to the upper limit of what we can pay. Seems reasonable to me, he has a big positive influence on and off the pitch.

an unsurprising sign of Curtis’ loyalty, if that’s what it’s about. But LR is untried in this role and if he does not succeed the price of terminating a long contract could cause us major issues under the EFL business plan.
did wonder btw whether Curtis might want to become player/captain/assistant coach

Getting people under contract is the current priority and Liam is under contract

Interesting this stuff about Curtis and Liam. Maybe Curtis really is saying: “I want you to appoint Liam permanently.” Can imagine they got pretty close when Liam was Rooney’s ‘defensive coach’

I can't understand why Forest and Brizzle fans aren't marching with pitchforks demanding that their owners domecile in the UK for tax purposes. I mean aren't we all as UK taxpayers kind-of subsidising their clubs?
