I think most of us are a little sceptical and will be until the inks dried on the sale contract and CK purchases the club.
Lots of hurdles left to overcome, creditors, the EFL sign off etc and lots of unknowns, points deductions, player contracts etc.
I’m sure we’ve all got questions about his wealth, his Twitter habits, his vision for the clubs future, what he had for breakfast etc. I just think we need to let them get on with it in the hope that all parties involved really do have DCFC’s future’s best interests at heart.
Hes trying to purchase the club, effectively saving us from extinction. And he was the only one willing to do so, so he needs our support, not recriminations.
im just hoping to watch us play football at the Slincy dinky arena next year with my slincy dinky root beer and slincy dinky monster hot dog!

Bamboozled us they have. They have given CK exclusivity and given away their right to speak to other bidders because they put themselves under pressure to name a ‘preferred bidder’.  Eggs in one basket, element of competition discarded. And they seem to have got nothing in return. They have given him an option on the club !!
WHAT HAVE THEY BEEN DOING FOR 7 MONTHS ?
Btw the terminology may be driven by the EFL (‘tell us your Pb and we’ll vet them’.) We shouldn’t be distracted by that, each of these situations is completely different
@i-Ramwe know you think Q is playing a blinder (despite a small mountain of evidence to the contrary) but please let us know what your wife thinks

Yeah, I said as much in a subsequent post. But I don’t believe what Kieran Maguire is saying is correct - that if we don’t pay 25% up front (or agree 35% over time), the points deduction would be delayed for 2 years in case we decided to pay it off later.

Seems likely that he holds a massive stake in a company that will IPO for a massive amount - that should be enough for Q and the EFl and for us. Goldman are one of his backers so he’s in the big league

I thought it was either 25p/£ upon exiting administration OR 35p/£ over two years were the minimum to avoid the 15 point penalties.
If its going to be over a period of time I think that has to be written into the creditors settlement documents.

Q knows pretty precisely what HMRC will and will not accept. Or if they don’t they are doubly incompetent. So that should be cleared off in the appointment.

The EFL’s high level approach to the business plan should be understood by Q and parameters should have been agreed with CK in exchange for the appointment. Q is an officer of the court and if they say to the EFL ‘we need high level guidance on this in creditors interests in order to sell’, then the EFL will need to assist. Has Q done this? Well they have a habit of not speaking to anyone they need to speak to, especially the EFL whom they unhelpfully fell out with, so who knows?

A ‘bunch of other things too’? Maybe but I don’t know what, these points above were the two I mentioned months ago on here.

the stadium... completely up in the air? Again, why not agree scenarios/ parameters within which CK is obliged to proceed - has the benefit of putting pressure on Morris or even the council, as well as to get as much contractual certainty as possible.

No. They have bamboozled fans with the use of this daft term ‘preferred bidder’ and with their leisurely timetable. Today’s statement indicates numerous aspects are up in the air and at this stage that is unbelievable. What leverage does Q now have to make C agree these outstanding items? It’s likely expiry of the exclusivity period is their only card, and by the time we get to that stage he may be the only one in the ring.

Don’t think he’s been offered exclusive access to information we’ve been through two bidding rounds so everyone has had the diligence. What they have have given him is exclusive right to negotiate with them.  Q can’t talk to other bidders.

‘preferred buyer’ is the term-of-art of Q’s  chosing, not a very wise one. The winning bidder (that’s a better term) can be named on whatever terms are agreed between seller and buyer.
Q were clearly alert to the dangers of a flabby appointment - that’s partly why the deposit was going to be non-refundable. The danger is you tw-t around with a ‘Pb’ for weeks to no avail then find everyone else has moved on to the next deal

it’s unbelievable, stunning incompetence. q has no control at all over the M&A process

There’s still some unease that this is exactly where we will end up. Sincerely hope not, as that will signal the end of WR as our leader, me thinks.

So here Quantuma are, 7 months after their appointment, appointing a PB who isn’t contractually bound to buy the club. It’s unbelievable.

Kirchner is founder of a company that has grown quickly. So hopefully he knows the skills of delegation and how important it is to have the right person in the right role. That will be a nice change

I love this. He came back in for us knowing we are likely to be a Div 1 team. He could have had Preston for less money and in the Championship.

He’s going to build Derby back to the big time, I can just feel it.

Please just get behind him and give full support from day 1.

A team is more than the sum of its parts right? Say Kirchner does takeover, it’s rumoured Garry Cook will join who has boardroom experience at Man City so brings football know how. He might also convince Rooney to stick with the project. Rooney will be a draw for some players on frees or on loan as we saw this season.
Potentially we then re-sign the majority of players who’s contracts are up, granted Bielik and Knight could be sold for example, but Allsop, Davies, Ravel etc may be willing to stay and give a strong foundation of a team to build upon.
We might not need “the best” free transfers, more the “right” free transfers. Are there more academy cast offs we can pick up like Ebiowei and Plange? A couple of established, solid league one or even league two pros who could add to the squad if convinced to join.
It could of course all fall apart, but if a takeover does happen there’s a chance we can put the past behind us, recruit well on a budget as Rooney showed he can do this season, and move forward with some renewed optimism.

Wow, OK, that is a genuine surprise. Really ? us ?
Sure, there are little things about pretty much every country that I'm not keen on (including America) but Americans as a group is surely far too wide a demographic to be lumping them all together in a negative way! My company was American owned for years and it never occurred to me not to like the folks as a group. Some were great people to be around and some less so, which is pretty much representative of all folks that you meet !
