In fairness, not sure many of your posts have benefitted the forum, or your fellow posters and their mental health and anxiety. I've purposely avoided engaging with you, but find it in bad taste that you call someone else out!

Don’t think MA is a teaming up sort of guy. And would DC want him as a co-investor !! ?
AA may be, not least because he might not have found enough investors and he’s used to running consortiums
have no idea about SM.
As others have said, DC is saving our bacon, he’s not mad keen to buy. So his plan may be to buy the stadium. Then to make a binding offer for the club so that q can say to the other bidders: it’s yours if you outbid DC

Agree, fabulous news
The ‘possibly working with other bidders’ is intriguing. Maybe there will be a final twist

Has he done a deal with MM? Ashley promises to ditch Rooney. And MM does a long term deal on the stadium that costs Ashley little to nothing now but gives MM a profit share when we recover.

I'm sure we can all see the stupidity in this, in that Ashley could have spent the same amount in December and possibly kept us up......but the Boro issues torpedoed that. we won't forget Gibson.

The 9 points was an agreed decision so can’t be challenged.
The potential appeal of the 12 points was very difficult. Because the rules require it to be shown that covid was the SOLE reason we were insolvent. V unlikely to win that one
I’ve levelled plenty of criticism at q but on the points deduction I felt they did a pretty good job

Fair enough, you think the EFL’s involvement will not help the process - that’s the nub of it. For reasons I’ve set out, that’s not my view
Having said that, I think Appleby is a straightforward individual. I don’t think q have the wherewithal to deal with an Ashley but I’d think it’s more than likely q will be able to finalise a deal with Appleby. And I don’t think the EFl will punish us for not abiding by their condition. So not Q’s worst decision

I *think* that's the old EFL insolvency rules, AFAIK a CVA isn't a requirement anymore. I'm only going by this though (as we've never seen the actual EFL insolvency policy):
https://www.lawinsport.com/topics/features/item/football-creditors-rule-is-the-football-league-s-new-insolvency-policy-a-step-in-the-right-direction
"Clubs were previously required to undergo a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) through which football creditors were paid in full and arrangements for other creditors settled. A CVA is effectively a deal between a company and its creditors which binds all if approved by three quarters of creditors by value. It can be an expensive and time consuming procedure but offers remedies for creditors if rules are breached.
The new policy does not require a CVA. That may save some cost and time but does mean that creditors are denied the remedies for rule breaches that the CVA policy implies."

Technically, it's an initialism. Acronyms are where you pronounce it as a word (like FTSE, NASA), rather than sounding out the individual letters. [/pedantry]

I think the feedback from interested parties to Q was that they wanted all extant issues resolving before they committed (PDs, Boro claim etc) and the EFL were saying that they wouldn't rush the disciplinary process if Q decided to go to an IDC - it was also possible that an IDC would impose a higher penalty, Q would appeal, progress would be stymied etc.
I think Q therefore took a pragmatic decision to at least clear one hurdle out of the way rather than leave the process in limbo for months. With hindsight, you might argue that limbo is exactly what we've had regardless, but I can see why they took the decision to settle with the EFL.

I have just emailed Rick Parry, who has confirmed that the EFL will be keen for us to play ideally with as little as 7 players. If we remain competitive though the EFL has the right to enforce a League rule change whereby games can be played against Derby as long as we have no fewer than 5 players on the pitch. They already have 71 member votes held in support of the motion.

Just want to say that this has been an absolute nightmare for all of us, I am down in Ipswich watching this unfold daily. Wasting time looking at rehashed stories on the DET app and website, feeling optimistic at times and then beyond depressed by it all at other times.
There is another chink of light in the seemingly imminent AA takeover, would be great to see it go through ahead of the fixture release, spare the drama and what if's for all of us.
If he does take it on it just goes to show what an absolute armhole Ashley has been throughout the whole process.
Wanting us at price Q could never entertain, knowing this and then trying to destabilise the whole process with leaks and stories to the papers about being ignored by Q.
Feels like AA has got on with it no big stories to the press or messiah delusions to social media, long may that continue, a period of stable and steady re-building is required. Lets not got flash with the cash again, until we have it to spend, no more Butterfields but a few more Brysons please.
Just fingers crossed it gets over the line this time.
