Wales won the singing again. They are the best in the world.
The USA play like a team managed by Paul Warne. They could take a big scalp in the round of 16

Did the ball go forward?
Not sure that matters. He was offside and interfering with play

If Brazil are relying on Neymar to carry them to glory they have no chance . He was s**** 5 years ago when he was supposed to be good.
It’s a brave man who says Brazil have no chance
(We invented a pretty ugly game and they made it beautiful )

Wish our club invested more in the women’s game. We have free cash and the EFl would certainly let us. It’s the future

We be stupid to sell him plus warn likes him.
Don’t disagree. Easy to undervalue a fabulous keeper And so far he has proved to be just that

We tell them to jog on he is our number 1 keeper.
Everyone has their price B4 As you know from my numerous posts on this topic, my price for Joe would be very high. He’s our mvp

They could absolutely not have done this from a studio in the UK.
What they can’t do from central London is spend hours before and after every match learning from all the world’s media pundits what is the scoop on this, that and the other.
Which is what they do -

How does having a new head of recruitment help when the club's restricted to free agents and loan deals until the end of next season.
He helps by recruiting the best free agents and doing the best loan deals

I don't think there are any savvy buyers out there willing to offer DCFC £4m for any one player. Not with our well documented fragile finances.
I could see a canny gk coach at a big PL club saying hey we need a third gk this is the man

Would be interested to know whether it costs the club if we’re on ‘free to air’. We have a load of fans who regularly pop off to Amsterdam or Copenhagen then pay a tenner to watch games on rams tv.
(Not to mention what it costs Michael O’Leary)

If the right offer came in would we have to sell and what would that offer need to be?
Smartest thing Jose Mourihno did at Chelski was buy Petr Cech. Most important position on the pitch.

Is anyone really interested in this joke of a tournament??
FIFA have told advertisers that it’s estimated 3 billion people will watch at least one match.
Cue a Churchill quote -
Wildsmith 7 wouldn’t rule out that he deliberately palmed that ball into space and away from ?bishop
Rooney 6
Stearman 6.5
Forsyth 7
Cashin 7
Smith 6.5
Thompson 6.5 - needs a lesson from Knight about winning free kicks
Barkhuizen 6.5
? 6.5
Hourihane 6.5 Warne will soon have him fitter than he’s been for years
Sibley 6 tough gig Dale was an 8
McGoldrick 7.5 stunning technique for the volley. Just love watching his balance, awareness, silky touch. But it’s sobering to see how much better he is than the rest
Osula 6
Collins 6.5
Dobbin 6

Harsh thread this. He deceives to flatter.
He looks clumsy with the ball at his feet and moves around like a thunderbirds puppet. But he makes plenty of important aerial challenges and so often puts his body in the right place.

Still a tad disappointed with Forsyth and Cashin last night
I had them both for the first goal scorer - Forsyth at 25/1 and Cashin at 40/1 - some serious money to be made on that pair because they get into position to score goals
You were very unlucky w Fozzie given his back post chance

What does “make it” look like?
Thanks for a damascene moment. Just had a dazzling realisation that the main reason for retiring was being asked once too often by HR what success ‘looked like’.

At 3.10 you’ll notice Boris busy these days as a groundsman. Cheeky few quid on the side
Thought Warne said lots of good things and it’s touching that he has a lot of love for Fozzie.
But he’ll have had a kicking when he got home (at 3am). If you’re going on a break to the beach, DO NOT say ‘I’m taking the dog ... and my wife’. The dog won’t mind

Well they’re playing only because their government has forced them to. If they don’t their kids or parents might disappear. Their team mates who are overtly political are on the bench and won’t be used. And we’ve got Ian Wright et al (including on here) wondering why Iran are ‘disappointing’.
