Out of the players who have a contract, we’ve got 4 that are first team players in the Championship.
GK -CB - Cashin
CB - Nelson
CB -
RWB - Nyambe
LWB -
CDM -
CDM -
RW - Mendez-Laing
LW -
CF -
Subs/reserves - Vickers, Bradley, Rooney, Ward, Wilson, Elder, Fornah, Blackett-Taylor, Washington
I suspect the likes of Fornah and Washington will get moved on.
Offer new deals to: Wildsmith, Sibley, Thompson, Adams, Gayle, Collins
Release: Loach, Forsyth, Hourihane, Smith, Barkhuizen, Waghorn
That’d leave us with 17 players, 5 first team if we’re able to sign Adams and the need for 7 new first team signings.- chadlad, twinkletoes and Nishfan

Hi guys
Hope all is well ... Just wanted to pop this on here to make everyone aware.
Sure some of you have seen Adam Sanders status about the drum not being allowed into the South Stand (up in Block D next to the away fans) for the foreseeable future following the first home game against Wigan.
Unfortunately the club have received quite a few complaints from fans in this area who were unhappy at the noise levels. To the extreme where 1 fan felt the need to nip to the Wyvern after the game to visit Boots to get some pills.
Now I get the drum is not everyone's cup of tea and of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, alot of blood, sweat and hard graft went in to getting the South Stand back for home fans versus leaving it empty or giving silly allocations to away fans.
This was a project that took many years to get and the last thing I want to see is it fall on its arse because certain fans find it too noisy. The drum is used to keep the tempo going and to get more involved. Its not there to start the atmosphere, a simple thing to add to the atmosphere, simple as that.
When we first had the South Stand the drum was located in the TV Gantry and worked well over the years with zero complaints. Adam had to move because the platform would often bounce and Sky Sports took issue with this. LOL! That's why Adam had to move down to the front and we all know it just hasn't worked.
We finally managed to agree with the club (very much on board) for the drum to be positioned in Block D which is nearest to the away fans and fair to say the most vocal block in the South Stand.
Obviously as mentioned this was met with a fair few complaints from our own fans who complained about the noise levels of the drum which has forced the club (who i again stress back it) to remove Adam from this area.
My take has always been this. If you are in the South Stand you should be there for and to create the atmosphere. If you are not, then this isn't the stand for you. We have 3 other stands where you can also sit and stand should you wish and not be in the presence of like minded fans who want to be part of something on a matchday which involves 'noise'.
What fascinates me most is that we had some of our best away days with the drum at Peterborough, Oldham etc and not 1 complaint over all the other games we took it to away from home. I guess we do live in a cancel culture kind of world these days.....
Adam will be continuing in the South Stand concourse pre game for the Saturday games for like minded fans to get together with the hope of continuing it up in the stands 15 minutes prior to kick off. This worked well at home to Wigan.
If you would like to email the club and back one of your own in Adam then please drop Emma (Supporter Liaison Office) at slo@dcfc.co.uk
I’m in the SS. I sing and join in with the chants. If I’ve had a few beers, I might even start one.
I would NOT want the drum next to me for 90+ minutes every home game. I’m not surprised you had complaints.
Move it back to the front where there is a bit of a gap between the drum and the people.

Wage cap I agree with as paid to much wages in the past but I do feel a little freedome could been granted to us.
I heard the EFL were going to lift our embargo in January but Steve Gibson said we needed to pay him another £1m to lift it.

I went into the club shop on the 21st December and there was quite a few bobble hats? Or maybe they were just woolly hats and not bobble ones?
But yes agreed - target audience, maybe 500-1000 at £15 with a 300% mark up. All of these small things add up - it’s what the big clubs do really well on IMO.
Anyone know how the contract with Fanatics works though for club merchandise/club shop?
That’s what allows clubs like City go out and buy Haaland.

I got to playing 3-5-2 is causing penalties and gave up

We’re currently joint 1st in the home league table. 12 points from a possible 15.
Away league table we’re 23rd. 2 points from a possible 12.

Totally agree on this. Its not just the 1 adult ticket you would expect either, 2 adults and 1 child etc.. It's apparent fans are doing this to keep their membership level high.
It is against the ticket rules to resell your ticket so those doing it should be very wary if advertised on social media. I do expect the club to clamp down on it as many are missing out.
What can be done Nick?
Can we report to the ticket office?

I’ve seen a lot of fans selling their tickets on Twitter because they can’t attend. They’ve bought the ticket to sell on and have another game added to their customer ID.
If you can’t get a ticket, don’t buy one off someone else. You’re just making the situation worse for yourself.

Hopefully they go on to closely lose the next one against some good opposition at home. Maybe a 2-1 loss against one of the big boys. Just to gove some hope and take it all away.
Now they know how we felt in our last adventure, Ronaldo in his prime at Utd, Kane just getting started, Lampard bossing it, Gerrard taking it easy.
We really had a tough year, makes me really think it would have been so much better if we had lost vs WBA
Kane just getting started? You’re about 6/7 years too early

Could we create a thread that keeps the squad and the positions up to date? I’m struggling to keep track of the players we have.

Well guy chris kircher is now gone and maybe we just dodge a bullet but I wont lie I throught maybe kircher had the funds I got to carried away but now we have at least 6 to 8 new bidder. Steve morgan in talks with admin and maybe s deal can be done quickly. If admin and efl say to him can you clear these debts hear and now and if and when new owner is chosen say yes he is my card and money and card machine say money done and then given the keys and golden ticket and the rooney in and then get rest of the players in with new contract and new players in and then new number 2 assistant manager through the door.
6-8 new bidders?
I’ve only heard about Mike Ashley, Steve Morgan and Andy Appleby. Who are the others?
