I don’t believe we will be relegated, well certainly not as much as I did under the previous management.  The question to be answered is how good are the new guys.  If they are like our normal January intake I will become increasingly concerned

Not in our hands? We've still got forest, Wycombe, Birmingham and Wednesday to play

probably the last time I will bother to do this
    AFC Bournemouth15:00Birmingham City
Brum remain in trouble but win or lose if the better our score by 1 they go above us.  Change of manager might be what Bournemouth need to stop their terrible run, Hope so.  Bournemouth have won the last 2 meetings
    Millwall15:00Sheffield Wednesday
wendy won 4 lost 1 and looking for the path to the payoffs.  Last 5 pairings have been close affairs.  Could be anything
    Preston North End15:00Rotherham United
R's chairman to be evicted from the ground for singing something about knob ends.  PNE won only 1 of their last 5.  Rovrum won last 2 pairings so I don't have a great deal of hope about this one
    Wycombe Wanderers15:00Nottingham Forest
Florest beat them at home and are also hopeful of a playoff push; fools.  Wycombe to park the bus but really can't see anything but the gap widening
Generally not expecting this to be a great Saturday

To be honest, I don't think now is the time to be giving young players a run in the team. We're in a scrap and we need performances. I have no problem with him playing a bit further forward but I just don't think he does the job in front of the back 4.

Bird just can't play that role like Bielik can. He passed backwards too much and is not strong enough off the ball to protect the back 4. People forget that when Bird played in that position last season, he had Rooney to the side of him. Get the lad from Everton to play there or change the formation.

Spot on assumption and given the fact the back 4 looked solid before last night was because they had Beilik sat in front of them, last night we looked woeful in midfield, think we will see major changes on saturday wouldnt surprise me if we go back three and bring the young lad in from man Utd

I thought that the second goal was Byrne's fault. Shinnie clearly pointed at him to follow Crofts in order for him to close down the man with the ball. Byrne however went towards the goal and left Shinnie in no man's land. I thought he did well to get as close as he did to Crofts.

I thought after the win at Bristol City and with the signings we did that we would see an improvement in the team, but I think were in a relegation battle right up until the last game of the season. To lose 3-0 to Rotherham is a disaster why do we always struggle against teams at the bottom? I also feel midfield is to light weight.

I was told literally two weeks ago that I was stupid for thinking we'll stay up. Now the talk of playoffs. I want to believe it's possible but I just can't. If we got things together 5 games earlier then yes we'd have a chance. But no we've simply got to much to do.

I've done some analysis and think the playoff charge is still on...
14 points behind 6th place Bournemouth: we've taken 4 points off them and they look poor. Lost 3 on the row now and could be within sight if both our form and theirs continues for a couple of games.
12 points behind 7th place Boro with game in hand: 4 points from last 5 games, beat them and win game in hand then we need to make up 6 points over 18 games. Easy.
11 points behind 8th place Blackburn: probably hardest to catch as on good form. Will need them to start dropping points soon to put the pressure on.
11 points behind 9th place Bristol City: did you see them today? They are rubbish.
10 points behind 10th place Stoke with a game in hand: just 3 draws from last 5 games. Looked poor against us. Very catchable.
8 points behind 11th place Preston down to 2 points behind 17th place Coventry. 3 teams we have games in hand over and all the teams in this group of average.  Good chance we'll finish above all of these.
Summary: We'll need Bournemouth's poor form to continue but only them and Blackburn look tricky to catch.
We're 5th in the form table over 10 games and 1st-6th contains us, plus the top 5 in the league. We just need to find a way to beat the weaker teams now.

    Who knows, honestly?
Maybe the fact his judgement was impaired through alcohol goes in his favour and lessens his culpability for his injury in the eyes of the law?
Maybe our offer to reduce his terms for the remainder of his contract weakened our case for dismissal?
One day, when everyone is far removed from the situation, we'll probably learn the truth, I'd wager Keogh's teammates involved will back him to the hilt.

If it's true he's won the case, personally I'm absolutely delighted for him. Always seemed pretty obvious he'd win in the end to me given that Lawrence and Bennett committed much more serious misdemeanours and yet were treated far more leniently by the club. Made it difficult to come to any other conclusion other than that Keogh was sacked because unlike the other two, he was unlucky enough to get injured
His sacking was quite possibly just another FFP manoeuvre in the first place because now it's a 'just' a legal bill rather than being on the wage bill.
Personally the unfairness of way Keogh was treated led to me feeling less of a connection with the club. It just seemed like a totally ruthless way to treat a very good, dedicated player who'd been with us for years and always gave absolutely everything every time he wore the shirt. This outcome goes a long way towards redressing that historical sense of injustice.

Theoretically we should still have money left over from the sheff united double deal. 8 million was reported. With around 5 upfront I think it was. We spent about 3 million on KJ7 but about 1.5 upfront I recall. Then low fees for bryne and Clarke. We really should have about 2-3 million to spend. Unless Mel has pocketed that money...
