Hugill only has 1 more goal that Brown in PL2 this season. He also plays in a side which are the 2nd top scorers in the country, having scored twice as manay as our U21 side. If we're at the point where we think Hugill is a good signing for us, then why haven't we given Brown a serious run in the first team beforehand?

Why are you persisting with a system that our players cannot physically sustain for a whole season?

What have Warne and Thomas been doing all season in preparation for the January window?
What does Thomas bring to the party, seeing as Warnes signings tend to be people who he has managed before? Or in the case of CBT, well known in league 1 anyway.
Do we scout in Scotland, Ireland, or even League 2 and non league? 🤔 
 

Yeah, I feel he’s pretty balanced in his interviews. I don’t like it when he builds players up and knocks them down within the same sentence but that’s just me 
We’re close to the top and until recently on a rich vein of form so he can’t afford to slag them off too much, lest confidence suffers.
It’s not being knocked down that’s important. It’s what you do next.

I couldnt care how many points we are off top 2! We are play sh!t teams we should be beating them you could get any manager in and we would be here minium. I just want us to play a style of football so it enjoyable 

Or maybe get a manager/coach in that understands that a functioning balanced midfield is an alternative to endlessly lumping the ball out wide and into the box in the hope that someone will get on the end of it. Bird isn’t a bad player but is being made to look so by a coach who has no interest in playing football in any way other than his own prehistoric way.

Problem is we haven’t got enough players who can pull a rabbit out of the hat when the chips are down. 
 
Hopefully CBT will add a bit of sparkle. But who do we bring in from the bench to strengthen us? Sibley’s had more chances than hot dinners, we’ve got no strikers and Fornah looks average league 1 at best.

I don't like Warne football as much as the next pessimistic supporter. His objective was promotion and we are still well in the race. Back to back wins and we'll be pulling away from the pack again. He just needs to stop this mini rot of bad performances and now poor results. I still believe we will be top 3, if the manager actually starts to rest his better players more often. We've got a lot of over 30s who are our star players, their game time needs to be managed far smarter than they are now.
My main concern, forget about how dire the football can be when it goes wrong, is he going to learn his lesson from last season and manage the fitness of the squad properly? Ultimately this killed our momentum and we left it too late at the end. Ironically, he had Collins sat on the bench 2nd half of last season and he refused to play him from the start when we really needed to give NML a break. Now we have completely burnt Collins out, burnt out NML and let a young striker out on loan, granted we should be bringing in a striker soon.
He thinks another player will be enough, I'd argue he needs 3 or 4 more for depth. A tight squad with an older average age needs help.

The simple fact is Warne thinks he can approach the Derby job with vibes and percentage based kick and rush football down the flanks that offers little control. There's not really any nuance to it and any manager with half a brain can figure it out and counter it. 
We have brute forced a number of wins by having better players and a bigger budget than the opposition. If we get promoted we won't have better players and a bigger budget than the opposition. What do we do then?

Perfect is stretching it. I think they just expect us to have 1 shot on target in a league 1 match and not put in such abject performances when the players we have are better than the players most in the division have… 

I don't go into work dressed as Ali G with headphones on singing songs littered with obscenities so why should footballers ? It's their place of work. No discipline off the pitch nor on it by the looks of tonight.

Bird is ordinary 

I was definitely expecting more from Hourihane than what we have received. With Bird, i agree, I would happily swap him for a Eustace type but where do we find one of those. 

Graeme Shinnie would be good, still only 32.
