Whatever happens to millions of innocent people during the war, whether they suffer as conscripts or impoverished civilians, one thing is certain. The rulers of both countries will still be multi-millionaires. We know all about Putin of course, but Zelensky is also part of the "club".

I'm not excusing Russian aggression btw, far from it. I'm just putting a tired and cynical view out there from a tired and cynical old man that the very rich always benefit from wars, always have.
There'll be many "oligarchs" from around the world who will also benefit massively from arms sales to energy costs and food prices from the conflict.
Happy days for the mega rich rulers who oversee us all, death and misery for the majority.
Twas always so.
Right, I've had a pisspoor week at work but now the weekend is here, a few beers with friends tomorrow and I'll be at the match on Sunday to cheer on our inevitable march to FA Cup victory and promise not to post anymore miserableness.

Reggie Greenwood reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Barnsley (H) (FACR3) Sun 8th Jan, 12:30 KO
my time of watching were the Plymouth one. Although realistically a win that year would have been unlikely and most disappointing the year we lost to Middlesbrough in the quarter final with Chesterfield in the semi. I'm sure we'd have beat Chelsea in the final with LeBouf, Clarke and Sinclair at the back and Asanovic feeding Sturridge and Wanchope in that space . A real chance missed.

We would have won the Cup that year. Cloughie knew it.

Any reason you're still calling him Fozzy?
Beckenbauer, Franz or the Kaiser if you don't mind!
I'm determined to get a Beckenbauer song going before the end of the season for him.

Jack has signed on a two and half year deal for Stockport. Not heard about any fee. Another academy striker who has found it difficult to prove himself in the hardest position on the pitch. Goalscorer.

We were missing Rooney and Aghatise, which would suggest they might be involved on Sunday.
Anang made his first appearance in a Rams' shirt.
Bardell substituted very early - another injury? ?

He was in the away end. If the moderators weren't so good I'd call him a naughty word.

Not if you was there Dave.
First few minutes, the lad in the white jacket in C stand throwing the ball at the forest player, a few seconds later you can see the police approach him.
Peter Taylor in his smart Harrington jacket and Burberry scarf, looked like the Man from C&A. (ask yer dads).
Pitch invasion when Archie curled that free kick in.
Atmosphere was unreal, proper old school in and out the ground.
Fantastic memories, its difficult to explain but we went from Champions in 1975 to relegation in 1980 while the gumps had their 3 seasons of glory.
When we won this Cup match we were bottom of Division 2 and they were 2nd in the top tier. Think of the ten man game but ten times more important or the 5-0 thrashing......
Good times, ?

Its Derby fans sharing memories, its not tinpot to do that. Its only tinpot if you share it on general social media. This is a Derby forum for Derby fans.

One of my earliest and best memories supporting The Rams. I was 10 at the time and my dad wouldn’t take me to the BBG because of all the hooliganism that was around in the 70s and 80s but I remember listening to the game on Radio Derby. Graham Richard’s commentary, bloomin’ marvellous. And I always wanted that shirt, if only they’d do a replica now.

I'd have been 12 days short of my 20th birthday.
Already shacked up with young mouths to feed, this was during my budget-enforced DCFC Hiatus, (as was the vast majority of the 80's/early 90's) so had to make do with the TV offering of the day.
Still great to watch it again though, so thanks for the reminder, @loweman2 ??

Reggie Greenwood reacted to Wistaston Ram in 8th January
I was 15 and it was the biggest game I had so far attended after seven years of mediocrity. I sat in the Osmaston Wing of the Ley Stand with my dad. I remember watching an old man a few rows in front, stoically sitting through a hail of coins throw by the Forest fans from the terrace below. it was like something from the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan. Not sure I have ever heard a louder roar than when Archie's free kick hit the back of the net or felt so elated walking back to the car afterwards.
