Blondest Goat reacted to McArthur Park in DERBY COUNTY FANS FORUM: MARCH 2024
Fair point, apologies! Trying not to get sucked in!

He also said he wanted younger more athletic players next season.
That Adams was a Cardiff player and they have 7 games to try and convince him to be at Derby next season but it was more unlikely than likely.
Asked who would be his player of the season he said Curtis Nelson.

He looks better as a sub for me. Coming on against tired legs with a stretched game.

Excellent 3 points considering how many players we are missing
Wildsmith made some excellent saves whilst Nelson Forsyth and Cashin were very decent which highlights what we lacked up front
Real shame about Gayle injury
Can we please find someone to take free kicks and stop Our goalkeeper from being half a pitch away from his net with every other player on the pitch only 30 yards away from him because it’s far too risky and unnecessary
Nice corner from Elder as well and Bolton will be disappointed that a tiny player gets a winning header but I wasn’t but we were poor overall and a touch fortunate to get 3 vital points

Close game, they’ve had the best chance but think we’ve been the better side without creating much. The Gayle injury is a blow but the resulting tactical change has benefitted us weirdly, in terms of control anyway.
Got to make more of the set pieces we’re getting, Waggy and CBT to come in and add some threat up top second half maybe 🤔
Would possibly consider shifting Sibley into the position Adams is playing then hook Hourihane for Elder. Sibley would then be better located to smash in a 20 yarder to secure the 3 points

He was beaten in the air. So what? Do you expect him to win every ball? Their player should not have been able to get in behind, but let's ignore that and hate on Bradley some more shall we?

It's good to see some of the signings who people doubted starting to show their qualities. The same can be applied to other players who have divided opinion like Smith, Sibley and Barkhuizen who are hitting form now it seems. Barks is a bit like Hourihane - great stats on goals, assists and key contributions but sometimes look a little lightweight for this league. Perhaps the inclusion now of Adams has made their frailties less important than their strengths?
Either way, the overall strength and variety in our squad is beginning to tell.

Blondest Goat got a reaction from Wolfie in Paul Warne
When was the last time a manager resigned because he thought he had failed? They believe in themselves and hang on until they get a payoff don't they?
Really can't see why anyone would think Warne would be any different.

Poor formation for an away day breakfast plate imho; sausage should be between the defensive beans and rotated to prevent the midfield scrambled egg being encumbered with defensive duties. Egg should be deployed further forward and ahead of the hash-browns, with the mushrooms out wide but given license to cut in and play as a number 10. Really don’t believe the combination of fried & scrambled eggs ever works; they’re just too similar. At least one of the slices of toast should’ve been given a starting position to give added structure to the team, supporting the bacon which appears somewhat isolated and awkwardly placed in the way of the hashbrowns. Bizarrely part of the beans seem to currently be deployed as a wing-back…I can’t see that working at all. I’m liking the look of the fresh orange on the bench but not sure it’s got enough in the tank to last the whole 90 minutes. Just don’t think that line-up is going to cut the mustard today. Really need the lad Brown on there too, just to spice it up a bit.

I don’t know if you’re being serious or not. If you are then taking into account what seems to be his mantra “there are more important things in life than football” and “not getting too excited if his team wins (until they’ve actually won something) or too down if they lose”, I can’t say that I’ve noticed anything that would lead you to that conclusion.

Blondest Goat reacted to Anag Ram in Down to third
I have booked a hotel in London for Saturday 18th May just in case.
Hope it’s not needed because:
A) I want Derby to get automatic promotion
B) I have the Bristol 10k on Sunday 19th!
COYR!

For anyone hoping to get to any or all of our last three home matches I have had a look at our likely allocations.
Away fans sites are not always ( never) up to date so looking at our allocations last season plus what other clubs have had this season this is my conclusion.
Portsmouth 2,000.
Recent improvement to the stand has resulted in a larger allocation than last season, Reading recently had a full allocation of 2,000.
Wycombe 1,850.
This was our allocation last season plus Oxford recently had an away attendance of 1,752.
They do however have a very nice car park.
Cambridge 1,473.
This was our allocation last season and Peterborough recently had an away following of 1,473.
There was a lot of discussion last season that they could have given us more instead of leaving a large area of their stand empty, whether that changes this season who knows, maybe they don’t need the money.
Obviously this is just my conclusion and is not set in stone.

Id go 4 at the back and think Nelson and Cashin are our best pairing. Irritates me the way Bradley has been scape-goated as a stick to beat Warne with though. He hasn't done much wrong since he's got into the team. He's not in the side for our in possession play and that's what has been costing us.

How has he been nominated this month and not in previous ones? He's clearly not been as good this month.
