Jram reacted to jono in Will Clowes patience soon run out?
Surely it means we should be mid table or thereabouts in the championship by September 2026. Would that be ok ?
The definition of “established” is somewhat loose isn’t it ? especially as he has been in post for just 14 months out of 48
personally I think he will be under pressure from the start of nest season and more so if he doesn’t get a play off place this year. But as far as I am concerned he gets this season free. Only then will I start to question. One thing for sure I don’t want another manager for at least 12 months. It would be appalling impatience and stupidity to want to shuffle things yet again. (IMO of course !) 🤪

Has the season finished?
Thank God, it was dreadful.

Jram reacted to Caerphilly Ram in How Paul Warne survives!
That’s the Hourihane who on two separate podcasts this year has said Warne’s man management is a strength.
We all know how you feel about Warne being manager of the club, you asked for evidence of what the players think of his man management and I provided some. It doesn’t match your own view of Warne, but it’s directly quoted from one of the senior figures in the squad, sometimes you can just accept the information available to you as well as holding your own opinion

Ironically I thought the general consensus was we’ve been getting results against some of the stronger sides and looking poor against the weaker sides.
Wins away at Peterborough and Blackpool, a draw against Portsmouth all decent enough results in my view. The Cheltenham, Cambridge and Shrewsbury games however not good enough.

Hourihane does agree;
Conor Hourihane explained what it is like to work with Warne when he guested on Not The Top 20 Podcast's YouTube channel.
He said: "He is different in terms of how he goes about his day-to-day business with players.
"I think his ultimate strength in my opinion is his man management.

He’s entitled to his opinion, I suppose.
No harm in a bit of disagreement

They thoroughly outclassed Crewe today. They’re not quite creating the number of clear cut chances required to win consistently but I think that will come.
Up the Rams.

On the subject of disagreement… 😂
Jokes aside, I genuinely think watching derby play Crewe today was like watching Man City play Luton in the Prem. Utter dominance in possession and some nice passing.
Most difficult thing at this level is understandably putting it in the net because if you can do that even remotely effectively, you wouldn’t be playin in League 1

please someone teach Collins how to stay onside....
another frustrating one. more clinical finishing and it would have been over in the first half.
full credit to the players for keeping going until the death!
what bothers me more than anything else is that the players don't seem to be enjoying themselves, and I think that's a reflection of the fans constantly getting on their backs.

Put whatever device your using to post these messages down. Walk to the nearest mirror and take a good hard look at yourself.
If you want us to lose, then, you're the problem.

Not everyone.
Just spoke to my hubby who was at the game and he thought a draw was the least we deserved (with the caveat that we are rubbish at defending!)
Of course he has the advantage of not being part of the hysteria being whipped up here. He was watching the football.

Jram reacted to angieram in Warne Out Out
It's almost as if they were scared of being seen to enjoy themselves.
There has been some pretty aggressive bullying of people who don't agree with the Warne out rhetoric at matches - I have witnessed it.
I think the core group of singers, who keep going all match whatever the response, were excellent again last night.
There is quite a good response from some areas of North Stand, too.
But it was also notable last night that the players were celebrating more amongst themselves than with the fans. They, too, have been subject to some abuse.
If the team can build from here, the atmosphere will come back. But it will take time to rebuild trust on both sides.

It's worth a like just for using the word fallacious.
But yes the content of your post has pretty much nailed the situation

Yeah there obviously are some examples where a club’s fortunes improved after appointing a manager.
But if you looked at the fortunes of different clubs one year after every appointment in the 92, I bet 90% would be in a similar position in the same league.
Im not saying the manager doesn’t make any difference- im saying there are dozens of other factors (many of which are definitely more impactful) that impact the club and most managerial sackings result in no material gain
Often when a managerial appointment does seem to cause a change in fortunes, it conveniently coincides with other things happening at the club. Arteta at Arsenal is a good example. Maybe he’s a genius? Or maybe his appointment was at the same time as Arsenal finally payin off stadium debt and being able to spend 200 million each summer? Call me cynical but I think the money had a bigger impact

I think my point about managerial changes stands though. Other than McLaren, did any ultimately make any difference?
I genuinely think as well that it’s unfair to judge Warne outside of this season. Last season we all agreed it was a small, ageing squad which withered late on- arguably understandably given the constraints on the club when building the squad. Warne admitted he should have added one or two more in January and he’s learned from that. I would also have liked him to say he could have trusted the 21s more but you can’t have it all
I can honestly understand everyone’s frustrations at losing to Stevenage but I do think it’s fallacious to call for his head at the moment and am genuinely surprised there aren’t more people who agree (I know there are some)
