Football club ownership is a lose/lose situation, doesn’t matter what they do, you’ve done it wrong.
They will be asked to sit in the corner, be quiet, just sign the cheques, but wait, why are they so quiet, we demand answers.
Cut back spending, be sensible, wait a minute we still want that £10m striker and £5m defender, and a £8m keeper....oh and don’t forget that £7m midfielder....but don’t you dare take us close to that FFP limit, no football club should be losing money.
Bored now, we need a new owner, anyone just get rid...wait not him, we don’t want him Jesus, but get rid asap.
Hold on, why’s this guy wanting to buy a second tier football club, I smell something fishy, what’s his intentions, why us, why not one of those football clubs that actually make money like erm...errrrrm....
Honestly, I could be the richest man in the world, sat in trillions in the bank account and I would never touch a football club, even Derby.
I could turn us into the next Man City and some would still have something to complain about, winning leagues, competing in Europe but yeah that David bloke what a @#%! for killing the atmosphere and turning us into a tourist fan club, all those fake fans over in Asia. I want to see us lose games, can’t remember the last time I saw us get a classic Derby tonking.
Now imagine football clubs owned by football fans, oh my, a group of Newcastle fans are looking to buy a stake in their club. Can already see the fall out there, desperate to get rid of Ashley they donate all they can, then Ant and Dec disagree over firing the manager, Cheryl Cole storms off wanting her £5.68 back as she thought one of the fans would be appointed manager.
Would not touch with a barge pole.

Pointless debates about Rooney as a player. The generation aspect will always make it difficult to compare. Rooney was the best of his generation, no doubt whatsoever, not just his incredible goal scoring record but his overall contribution to the team. His workmate for United was phenomenal.
Shearer was similar, worked his socks off and contributed to the team.
Players like Lineker, Greaves, maybe even the greatest England forward of all time, Steve Bloomer, were out and out goal scorers, poachers, hitmen, predators, goal hangers, whatever you want to call them. quick as lightning over ten yards, intelligent, read the game well and found themselves in dangerous positions by instinct. I'd put Bobby Davison in that sort of group, (not saying he was as good as those but he had that instinct).
So, Rooney as a player? Pretty faultless, up there with the best as a prolific goalscorer but also contributed numerous assists and defensive work to his teams. Created a lot of his own goals.
Rooney as a manager? He most certainly must want to be a manager. He's a multimillionaire yet he's spending his time in cold, empty stadiums trying to get players who are a million miles below his standard to perform as a team under horrendous circumstances.
He faces the flak in interviews, doesn't hide, he seems to understand the responsibility and the expectation of managing a club like ours.
He's taking it seriously and prepared to put the hard yards in, do his apprenticeship and learn his trade.
He'll keep us up and make us competitive next season imo.

If you’ve ever had the privilege of speaking to Bucko, you’ll know he is precisely the exact sort of coach/character you need about the place:
    1. An inspirational example of what you can achieve in the game if you apply yourself.
    2. Scored “that goal “ against Dogs & Dirties
    3. loves Derby County
    4. Understands the highs and lows of being a footballer
    5. Totally respected everywhere
    6. Will get the likes of Jordon Ibe ticking again like a mercurial Swiss clock.

Absolute no brainer. Pleased to bits he’s here. Suspect Nigel would’ve wanted him at Mansfield if he had a budget.

From his performances on and now off the pitch, as it appears he might be pregnant again, and for the love of the club, he is welcome to all the sleep he can get.
Please lets not kid ourselves that professional footballers have it hard, they go train a few hours a day, a few days a week, for an incredible wage, and have an incredible amount of time at home to catch up on sleep. Whilst thousands of supporters who spend thousands of pounds on the football club they love, whilst trying to hold down 1 or 2 jobs whilst chasing around all week to enable their babies, kids, elderly parents are fed, sleep, attend school, get through life, safely, so we as supporters can get the opportunity to sit down and watch two live games of professional football with our professional footballers at least having the decency to try, when they are doing it.
We are still in the race, nobody stops trying, nobody gives up, if you wear the Derby County shirt.

All these comments it isn't what fergie would have done. Fergie publicly fell out with loads of players and got rid of them no matter how big they thought they were.
Ince he called a big time charlie and got rid of. Van Nistlerooy he fell out with and moved on, beckham he accepted a bid for before beckham himself knew he was for sale, jaap stam, even keane at the end he stripped of the captaincy and moved on.
Called out a load of kids when they got beat by york city in the cup. He Said ferdinand and evra should have more common sense after they were beat by city.
He had high standards and you had to maintain them to be in the squad and at the club. If the standard or attitude dropped you were out no matter who you were.
Im glad rooney is demanding high standards. Were not achieving anywhere near acceptable levels and i have no issues with Rooney calling out or moving on anyone at the club

What did my head in today was the lack of urgency during the last 10 minutes. We are losing to a very average side and still taking our time to get the ball forward.
Coventry didn't have to waste time, we did it for them. Buchanan wasted a few minutes taking throw ins, Roos and the back line insisted on knocking it about until they were under that much pressure they had to hit it long.....ffs, hit it long first time, theres minutes left and were losing.......I can cope with a lack of quality, poor passing, genuine mistakes, but for the first time in ages I actually thought the players didn't care enough today. It didn't seem important enough for them to hurry everything up and go for it.
Its very rare I'm down, I love DCFC with all my heart and I always look for the positives, but when were struggling, the one thing I want is for the players to care. I didn't see that today.
Come on Wayne, you always cared as a player, you gave everything every time you played for your clubs and England. It mattered to you, make it matter to your players.

The spectre of relegation has changed my opinion on playing in this league. The teams that get promoted automatically get the most points. It matters less to me than at any other time that we get the points irrespective of how we play. We have been denied promotion because we lost so many points against teams with that mentality. Win the game then discuss the football.

This season for Rooney is about keeping us by any means necessary.
Next season I am sure we will have our own style but with Pride Parks pitch the way it is we can hardly play much football on the ground and Rooney is being clever by picking his team & tactics to suit the opponents.
