Manager - 7 - Some good subs and 4 at a time was a surprise.  Point deducted for not spending more time sorting our throw ins out. League 1 has the 2nd most conceded in league football so we need to be better at them!

Warne did mention this in his interview, i expect they will be working on it this week

You ought to have seen some of our lot at Bristol Rovers! Every club has them.

What happened, I was in the seated area but across towards the away terracing, never saw anything untowards but it seemed something might be going off further along the stand.

Me too. Have a weeks free trial on BritBox. Coming to the end of series 3. I thought Kin was good…..this is even better. I hope Nidge gets what’s coming to him….

I haven't managed to finish watching season 5 this weekend so no spoilers please.  It's an interesting one, I know Nidge should get his comeuppance but I strangely have grown to like his character even though he is a complete sh!t 😁

Eye of the beholder.  Those of us who can't go can watch the match on Sky and get to get out of the house on Easter Monday.  Win win.

With all due respect, i can't go either so I can watch it on Sky, however i have a lot of friends who do a lot of away games and this ridiculous change has really thrown a spanner in the works.

Back to Love/Hate. I've just watched the last episode of S4, and the first one of S5.

It's definitely getting better again, after the awful (to me) S3.

That last one of S4, as a stand alone single episode, was absolutely brilliant.

We are neck and neck, i finished season 4 this morning and started season 5.  Gripping stuff, i fear I'm going to miss it when its done.

Between Wildsmith and Collins I would say Wildsmith is the better goalkeeper and better investment whilst Collins is or should be cover but he kicks the ball further

Do I want an upgrade on both absolutely

    Collins?  Have i missed something?

My Dad carried on working due to Scargill not having a national vote and my Brother in Law, 25 years younger with a young child was on strike.

When my brother in law was out I, aged 14, used to carry a box of food from our house to theirs.

Politicised me at an early age.

As a young (18) apprentice fitter, we had to go to work at the start of the strike.  It was quite a scary experience crossing the picket lines especially when the flying pickets were travelling down from Yorkshire.  Given the choice I would have supported the strike but not without a national ballot, never understood why Scargill was reluctant to give the ballot early on, would have won by a landslide.  I know men who went on strike for the full year and men who didn't, thankfully i had the perfect excuse for working through.

@NottsRam and @ketteringram we wondered if Darren's sister (I forget her name now) just couldn't be in it because that seemed weird.

His girlfriend was just written out of the plotline so that didn't feel especially weird, more like real life.

I thought the end of Season 3 was brilliant.

I am enjoying Kin second season, but I miss the grittiness of Love/Hate. Having said that, I don't miss half the dialogue in Kin!

I think i miss Aiden Gillen's character but I guess it was necessary to develop the story, although even the writer thinks it was probably a mistake to get rid too soon.

I'm about half way through season 4 of Love/Hate.  Thanks to @Bob The Badger for the recommendation!

Think I already said this, but....

absolutely loved seasons one and two. Couldn't fault it. Really didn't like season three. A few reasons. I hated the storyline with Siobhan. Wish the writing just hadn't gone that way. Hated what happens with Tommy. Hated the fact that they even brought 'the Ra' into the story, and none of those characters worked for me. Didn't like the way the show just seemed to forget about their private life. For example, I'm pretty sure in the first two episodes of season 3, Nidge doesn't go home. He doesn't call home. Trish doesn't even get mentioned. If you joined the show at that point, you wouldn't know he had a family.

Anyway.......season four has improved on three, but I'm not sure any of it from here, is going to match 1 and 2.

Yes, season three is disappointing me a bit but only because of the high standards set by 1 and 2.  Not enough to stop me enjoying it though.

Warne Haters: 'We've got the best squad and biggest budget, we should be walking this league'

Also Warne Haters: 'We should have signed more players'

exactly my thoughts, can't have it both ways.

based on recommendations in this thread, me and the GF have watched Love/Hate over the last month or so.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, some great characters. Sadly some written out in first 2 seasons.

Underlying feeling is that the writers had to wrap it all up in the last episode or two and it felt a little rushed and the show deserved better.

    Still a cracker though

I'm on season 3 and enjoying it, i do agree though that some of the early characters are kind of missed later on.  Riveting stuff though.

Do we think Rovers will make it to General sale? Got a mate who lives local in Bristol I'd like to grab a seat with

I would very much doubt it unfortunately.  It does seem possible to buy home tickets though if interested.

Appearance #1: optimism at 10/10 from me.
let’s hope he kicks in and doesn’t become BM mark 2.

They were my thoughts exactly on Saturday.  Think it was Wolves away(?) excellent debut followed by several performances that left me wondering if he had ever played before!
