I found some videos on YouTube of some of the Rams goals from the two seasons we took part. Quality not always great but this was pre-HD!

    Pisa (3-0)

    Cosenza (3-0)

    Reggiana (3-0)

    Cremonesese (1-3) Final

    Cesena (6-1)

    Udinese (3-1)

Some Heanor Rams made the trip for the Cosenza game, flew with the players.  Had a fantastic time apparently, out on the beer with Martin Kuhl who travelled but didn't play.

  2. 'Hatton' documentary on Sky.  Brilliant, emotionally charged rollercoaster showing the very highs to the very lows of professional sport and the effects on those around you.  Highly recommended even for non boxing fans.  Two hours long and left me quite drained.

Although I’ve not seen it for a long time, and I’m not sure if it’s currently available anywhere, but there is a rather good film called The Magdalene Sisters. It’s fiction but based on the terrible events of the Magdalene Laundries.

Not been able to find this anywhere to view unfortunately.

Thanks for that, i will have a look for it.  Although disturbing, it is quite a fascinating subject.

  5. Woman in the Wall on BBC.  Really enjoying this one and intriguing to learn about the Magdalene Laundries which existed in Ireland.

A magnificent Bobby Davison/10 for me.

Edit: not seen the last part yet so could go badly wrong I suppose!

    Yes, I saw his tweets.

It's a shame his listening skills don't match his journalistic ambition.

He got several things either wrong, or he put a slant on them that matched his views.

    Not good reporting, imo.

True, half the things tweeted were not actually said and a lot of the rest was tweeted without context which is very misleading.  Why people would choose to analyse vague tweeted reports is beyond me when the whole thing will be aired today.

That’s good to know, thank you for sharing.

It’s not my point to make as such. I’m still sat on my rickety fence, and am looking to encourage the others who do feel more strongly about the direction of the team to do make their points known to the people in charge. There’s a lot of these binary stances/circular arguments on the forum at the moment, understandably so with some of the performances this season and a lack of transfer speculation and club football for the next couple of weeks. Seems a logical solution for some people who do have strong feelings to communicate them to the club where there is an opportunity to do so in a direct manner.
Booing the team off is one way of expressing that concern as happened at some games, but it lacks the nuance needed to properly articulate one’s points.

It's one thing venting on these message boards, will be interesting to see if anyone raises their concerns on the night.  Very eloquently put by the way, whether it is your opinion or not.

Warne will be there at least, so if there are fans on here who are attending is there one amongst you who feels bold enough to express the growing concerns of some people directly to the man who can in theory change it?

Based on the more constructive comments I read from those doubting Warne it would be something along the lines of “there is a growing concern among some fans that we don’t seem willing or able to control games, there’s no apparent plan or ability to retain possession, we would like to see a Derby side that goes into games believing they are favourites as per the assumed/perceived status of the club and as such play with confidence and dominate the opposition on the front foot.”

I don’t get why that’s not something raised at these fan forums, in the right way, given there are a growing number who seem to feel that way (though I’m not one that number just yet). Some of the questions asked/points raised at previous fan events have been interesting and constructive, others I can recall being genuinely baffled by.

Those supporters unable to attend the Fans Forum are invited to submit questions for consideration via the club’s Supporter Liaison Officer by emailing SLO@dcfc.co.uk.

You could email it in, of course they could filter it out but worth a try.

watched the first one last night - some of the dialog was pretty painfully stilted and couple of plot points that seemed to make no sense, but the ending of episode one was intriguing enough for me to give episode 2 a go. We shall see

I'm at episode 4, it hasn't really gone far but need to see the ending now so will stick with it.

    Anyone watching Wolf (BBC)?

Is it worth catching up on?

Started watching this week, part way through episode 2, a highly unlikely storyline but i am finding it strangely fascinating and need to stick with it now.

The declaration in the first innings of the first test is what will cost us the Ashes.

Amazing that only twice in Ashes history has it gone to the fifth test two apiece.

Sorry but that's nonsense.  It might be a factor but 20 odd dropped catches has far more bearing than that declaration.
