He can also be a 19 year old kid on loan at a big but ailing club, with all the pressure that brings, who gets endless stick, way more than any other member of the squad and yet tries his f****** heart out every game, creating as many scoring chances for others as anyone on the roster.

Re: Dobbin. People have to be realistic (I know - ridiculous). If he were some kind of superstar wonder kid and/or ‘the finished article’ he wouldn’t have been sent to League 1. What he lacks in finishing he more than makes up for in overall contribution.  He’s doing well. He’s developing. Give the kid a break (I know, another ridiculous comment).

We’re trying to take advantage of the space their giant pitch provides but the execution isn’t quite there. Could be tailor made for Dobbin to run in behind as the match goes on.
A couple of times now we’ve crossed early when there was time, as well as space to drive into.

The opposite,a decent blast of warmth on a freezing day is a very pleasant experience!

Curtis is at the fag end of his career, just back from a serious injury with his first start, up against a big handfull. He lost a duel or two early, but over the piece he did the necessary, we won and they never looked seriously like scoring until Mr Magoo with the flag at the end.
Tricky game today against a good side, and we completely deserved the victory. Could have had 4. 
The tests keep coming, and we keep knocking them over. Fun this. Who knows where it ends?

Semantics mate ?‍♂️  His legs were gone before he even joined us, but he kept a yard or two in his head and has very seldom let us down, whilst on occasions, playing through the pain barrier against his better interest. Just don't see the need for folk to be getting on his back when he's had no game time to speak of, we've not conceded and after a shaky opening 20, he's played well enough. Any player would struggle in those circumstances IMHO, nothing 'shocking' about it. As a multiple POTY, romantic old fools like me think he's earned some latitude and respect. Clearly not all agree.
