Down here in that London, it’s flat Green. So boring compared to Crown.

Sutton Coldfield is not Birmingham
You were saying?
“Sutton Coldfield and its surrounding suburbs are governed under Birmingham City Council for local government purposes but the town has its own town council which governs the town and its surrounding areas by running local services and electing a mayor to the council. It became part of Birmingham and the West Midlands metropolitan county under the Local Government Act 1972. -

I doubt very much many footballers live in what could reasonably described as "Birmingham". There are areas (Little Aston and parts of Four Oaks, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield for example) not too far from the city that have properties I suspect not many of us on this forum can even dream of being able to afford.
One thing I'm fairly confident of though, I suspect none live in Tamworth. 😃
Perhaps Lichfield though. I lived for a time in Edgbaston. Couldn’t afford to now even though I now live in leafy, quite well to do Woodford Green in North East London with Ronnie O’Sullivan a half mile away in one direction and Meera Syall and Sanjeev Bhaskar t’other way. I’ve seen Tony Robinson of Baldrick fame around as well. I think he’s a patron of the RSPCA Abbey street rehoming centre in Derby. No one else famous though if you discount, as I do, all the Only Way is Essex prats.

First off, Bristol, who the f*** wouldn't rather live in Bristol than Birmingham? Second, not driving themselves into bankruptcy is a bad thing?! F***ing literally 😄
Birmingham. Have you never been to Edgbaston, Digbeth, Sutton Coldfield? I lived for several years in Erdington, Five Ways and Four Oaks. Lovely but pricey

I’m 78 this year and retired in 2011. I worked on British Aid projects in developing countries mainly in Africa but I’ve carried on doing odd bits since. But only one visit a year now, the whole airport experience can get a bit much and 2 weeks in, say, Nigeria, is enough for me now.

This isn’t a new rule. It’s been there for some time and all clubs including Gateshead were aware. Some clubs have a 10 year lease which runs out in the next few years such as Oxford where the lease runs out in 2026 so they need a new lease or new ground for the 26/27 season

We win next game. Bolton loose and Portsmouth loose. We go into the last game with 2nd confirmed, and a chance to still secure the title. COYR.
Loose?

After the last game, who knows? A no score bore draw

I think the recent defeat will be terminal for us., not least because it’ll give the chasing pack added incentive and impetus. They will take their chance and I fear that we won’t be able to cope with a severely depleted squad.
Of course, I hope I’m wrong.Thinking back, we’ve probably had only about 6 games when we’ve played really well and looked like promotion hopefuls. The rest of the games we have, though won, looked quite poor with just flashes of excellence. With our injuries piling up, it’s so difficult to be optimistic. Where’s B4 when you need him………

I know we are all feeling down but let’s wait to find out what our expected goals were before we all start panicking.
My expected goals were to expect some goals

It's weird that instead of Radio Derby commentary, the audio feed is Rams TV. Listening to TV commentary on the radio is incredibly uninformative. They were saying they thought Elder was coming on. Though it hasn't happened yet. I presume that means either Tommo or Hourihane are coming off and Sibley is moving into midfield to offer more goal threat?
It’s also on Talksport2. Still sounds crap though

2-1 I’m afraid Waggy

All these stats leave me cold. If they win and we draw and the third team lose and the second win etc etc. If my aunt had b******* she’d be my uncle etc. If we could predict accurately we would all be millionaires. Just take it a game at a time

Early Realistic Aspirations for 24/25
in Derby County Forum

As the ultimate realist, I expect and hope for mid-table. A consolidation season. And then, a push for top 6.
