I think you great break Rooney’s spell with us into several parts.
As a player, there are 2 distinct differences between pre and post the COVID break.  At the start, superb.  He ran the show in lots of games and was in good shape.  After the restart, he was totally out of shape and was hinderance to the team.  In Ryan Conways book I think it’s Max Lowe who said they’d all been given individual trading plans to keep in shape.  When they returned, Rooney had obviously put on a bit of timber and after running 1 lap of the pitch on the first training session he gave up and went back in the changing room.  He looked off the pace in matches and could barely run.
Then as a manager there are also 2 parts.  When he took over he was shocking.  No tactics, no plan.  You’d think for someone having worked for some of the best managers and coaches and with an aspiration to be a manager he’d have an idea how he wanted his teams to play.  We just did what the opposition did.  Then the administration season, which I think is his finest moment.  We did start with a plan and structure as to how he wanted us to play.  Although I think he was a bit lucky to have a good coaching staff with him.  But from the admin announcement he became a leader.  He lead the players, the staff behind the scenes, the fans - everyone.  He galvanised the club and the city.  It was us against the world and he created a siege mentality.  He didn’t let the points deductions get to anyone.  Many would have given up, he gave us all hope and belief that we could stay up.
I’ll always remember that last season, weirdly one of the best despite the ending.  I wish him well at Plymouth, except against us!!  You have to admire his desire to keep going and trying again.  I hope he takes the time to get his backroom team right as I think this will be key to whether he makes a good go of it or not.

Rooney might have athletic body of a darts player, drank his 6 pack and has more chins than Ronaldo, it never held him back, there would never be a player that put more effort in on the pitch.
@mwram1973 has made some valid points, you only have to look at the house in the video posted earlier in this topic. He has it all, stunning wife, kids, money, he has absolutely no reason to be down Plymouth’s training ground at 9am on Monday morning.
The guy absolutely loves the game and wants to succeed, I wish him the absolute best and hope that one day he gets to complete his dream and manage United.
Would be so easier to criticise another man for mistakes which he has made, it’s the English mentality to s*** on others whilst up in our high horses. I wasn’t a multi millionaire at 16, guarantee you if I was, there would have been loads more alcohol, women and the odd gilf, 21 I was and she was 48 😂

We recently had a problem with one under the kitchen units and going in the food bin overnight we have dogs so didn’t want to use poison and traps caught nothing , I removed the insulation material where I reckon it was nesting and we stopped putting food waste in the bin in the kitchen by buying a small food bin and emptied every evening , touch wood removing the food source and material it could nest in seems to have done the trick

Pep has perfected “Playing out from the back” because of the number of teams that park the bus v City. It draws the opposition out and leaves gaps . Warne will have no need for this tactic as the teams we play next season will be after 3 pts not 1. WBA spent nothing on players last Summer and got in the play offs . Their manager advocates high tempo / energy football. I hope P.W . will bring in players to be able to play this style of football next season .

Why ? That’s the problem today , people want to throw out the bullying or other accusations and we are all supposed just say nothing and not call the accuser out 😂😂😂😂, people are wising up to this tactic , shall we all worry about pulling you up on your constant contrary negative posts that verge on trolling of people to whom derby county is a passion and you enjoy poking with a stick on a regular basis,,, 
classy ( or rather as you mean it not classy ) is winding people up constantly then calling bully when they react as you know they will ,
by all means carry on with the stuff you post but don’t call bullying and play the victim 🤷🏻‍♂️

We're a big club in the sense that we're in the top 20 for the most successful sides in the country and always in and around the top 20 for average attendances even when playing in the damn 3rd division. Those two parameters make us a 'big' club by any definition. We're big we're just not 'the biggest'.

Where promoters get all the hype and money without actually doing the fighting? 
Wilder v Zhang is the main event. On paper it's an interesting fight. I expect it won't be that memorable. The first decent connection will probably end it. And it won't be two fierce lions waiting to pounce. It's a fight between a giraffe and an elephant
There's a few offensive jokes about their footwork and Paralympics that I won't repeat here but you get the idea. 
It won't be which big banger finds a way in first. It will be which of them try to move but forget their feet. 
I think Wilder, especially if he's not such a nervous Bambi as the Parker fight. 
Undercard is solid again thanks to His Excellency, supreme leader, Lord Of Light, Holy Master of Devine Ceremony etc etc

My dream as a teenager was to be the best footballer in the world, win everything with a big English club, have everyone speculate where I'll go next, like Real Madrid or AC Milan, and shock the world by publically announcing my love for Derby and signing for us at the height of my fame and talent for a fraction of the money I could have made, and have this city love me!
It's a strange dream but that was what did it for me!

It's amazing how these topics get side-tracked, it really is.  @Bris Vegas I've only read through the last couple of pages but if you're going to make a claim about us not having any international players since the early 00's, without the caveat that they have to have been from a popular country and have a large personal fan base, then you're going to get called out because what you stated was clearly untrue.
Therefore you shouldn't play the victim card when you get blow back on views which are misinterpreted, due to you not making your point clear.  Also as @Archied has pointed out, a lot of your opinions seem to be at odds to the majority of others on here, and change if they're challenged.  I can remember a fantastic conversation we had about whether points gained or league position was a true barometer of a club progressing, it lasted for days.  What fun that was...
