Paul Warne is a lovely man, unfortunately he is absolute crap in a transfer window.

I get we’d ideally like a striker - and something may still happen - but let’s not forget the squad is actually stronger than at the beginning of the month.  With a lot of players to come back.  We’ve added in midfield - which most of us have said we needed - and we’ve added a wide attacker. This frees up Barkhuizen to play in his preferred position.

We’ve had 6 months to line up targets and a month to get them finalised. 
Without knowing the full inner workings of the recruitment process it’s hard to pin blame on one person, but the manager ultimately will be the one that will need to go if we fail to be promoted this year.

Your thread title @Curtains ‘a must’….. but that guarantees nothing. I’ve no doubt they’re working their knacks off trying to improve squad but the restraints I don’t think any of us know how tight it must be to release the funds…. And then specific players. Too many underestimate the work that goes on for me. 

We have plenty of good midfielders, I wouldn't be too upset if we find ourselves without another one at the end of the deadline. Perhaps the ones we have haven't had a good showing of late but we should be able to get a good tune out of them as they are good players and if you're all honest with yourselves you know this is true.
A striker however, we have 1 fit striker. Unless Conor Washington or Martyn Waghorn are on the way back to miraculous record breaking return from injury, we will need to get through the rest of this season with just one striker. Good as Collins is and has been, we need support for that position. It is the most important thing in the coming days

If its just something that you've made up, its fine to admit it.
I'd think after the last few performances there is plenty to hold Warne to account for without making up unsubstantiated rubbish.

Of course he did.  We went for Harris and the wage difference was minimal.  There's one that other decisions had an impact on.  He's accumulated players and not thought about what he's doing with them.

Has he had vitriolic abuse on this forum? The odd comment but mainly some informed views.

For me there's 2 strands to this: the vitriolic insults, which is far more prevalent on twitter than on here, and then generally being overly-critical, which is as common on here as anywhere. There does seem to be some that just wait for a loss, and then twist everything to somehow be Warne's fault- without giving him any credit for the wins/good form between.
Last night we witnessed some seriously abject individual performances from the players, yet some on here are only blaming Warne. I don't believe that's because they're incapable of viewing what's happening in front of them, but because they've got stuck in a confirmation bias loop where they only register facts if it suits their stance that Warne is the problem.
