Due to Southgates tactics I didn't give England much chance of winning the Euros. Watching how Italy are performing tonight, that chance looks to be getting smaller.

England would ask far more from Italy though. We've only seen how good Italy are going forward. Their left side has had total freedom and even though Spinazzola or Insigne could be MotM they were wasteful.

Turkey couldn't even make a decent set piece.

Need Canelo to take his time brother!!! Drag him into the deep water then drown him with body shots before he delivers the coup de grace. The kid even makes his brother look modest and respectful ?

I don't know the difference between them tbh. I just see the nonsense they spout and what they've done in the past on YT.

But that sounds like £25 well spent. Especially if between rounds Canelo would just joke with his team and eat McDonald's

Ah, I was hoping he might stop Jake Paul.

    Me too.

I would be happy if Canelo took the challenge and just fought properly. Be a one punch fight worth £25

duck me that was even worse than I thought it would be ?

Logan Paul spent 6 and 1/2 of the 8 rounds trying to cuddle Mayweather to death. It was soooo bad it was actually funny. Fair play for lasting 8 rounds I guess, but that wasn't a fight, it a was a hug off. Another gazillion dollar payday for both though so a good night's work as far as they're concerned. Funniest of all was Jake Paul mouthing 3 to 2 (round score) after the 5th. I think LP landed about 10 shots all night!

As for the supposed negative effect on boxing, at least fighters now know they can double their career earnings when they retire simply by finding a Generation YouTube gobshite to beat up ?‍♂️

How did it manage to be worse than expected? ?

Fair play to them for not even making it look like a fight. At last some honesty between them

Is he crap then do you think?

More like doomed I think. He's gonna be fast tracked and in the spotlight. But he walks in straight lines.

Warren will expose him to an opponent that will walk him onto a heavy knockout. I'd bet money on it. The times he walked backwards and leaned back. There's nowhere to roll with a punch like that. He's gonna take a full bang from someone.

  6. Well, Tommy Fury did not win that fight. He certainly didn't win round 1. I had him losing 4 and even 2 could be seen either way

BT commentary had him cruising though. BT shows are laughable. People criticising Hearn shows should be forced to watch BT shows.

And Daniel Dubois proved what a fat waste of blubber that drug addict Jarrell Miller is. Miller made Dinu look like Tyson Fury.

Good on Dubois. Needs to get away from Warren.

If Frank Warren managing a boxer is like Arsenal playing the likes of Shaktar and Genk all the way to the CL final and then meeting Bayern Munich.

"He's ranked x with the WBO and x with the IBO"

Yeah, great. So he's fought ranked 20+ fighters to get a shot at a world champion. Great tactic for your boxers Frank.

  7. I hope both these YTers get knocked clean out.

There was an British Olympic boxer who became undisputed world champion and no British tv covered it last month.

The fight lived up to all the hype. And the build up was not staged and was genuine mind games.

This Jake Paul/Logan Paul poo fighting Mayweather and Love Island Tommy Fury? What are we watching here? It's like 2 pub teams being put in the Champions League to play each other.

Mayweather has no right to call himself an active boxer. If he wants fights there are genuine tough fights for him now in boxing. But we're really in a world where people want to see a P4P legend fight a guy who's not worthy of a national boxing championship. And we're buying it? ffs.

Then that other idiot keeps fighting wrestlers or whatever they are. Fight boxers. Active boxers.

Talking like they want to be taken serious but not willing to move up the ranks like every other fighter. If they're really that interesting and serious then fight real boxers and you'll get fast tracked.

I won't pay a penny for this poo. It's nonsense. Fighting P4P 50+ fights elite veterans and UFC wrestlers... fook me.

    Josh Taylor deserves your money.

Proper warrior and a hall of fame type fighter for me. Such a shame that when he finally got his shot at Mayweather he was basically fighting with one arm. All the BS around that fight still rankles with me now.

    Yeah same.

    It felt dirty

Yeh, Pac / Spence booked for August. Spence will be a big favourite but who knows against a warrior like Pac. Pac wasn't supposed to be winning against Bradley, Broner or Thurman as I recall.

Either way, seems unlikely he'll be fighting Taylor. If he loses then it's off to become President. If he wins, the match up they then want is Crawford and then he's off.

If Crawford is the guy then like you, I fancy Taylor to give him a way harder night's work than the likes of Khan and Brook. Big step up from Ramirez of course, but the lad doesn't seem to fear anyone. Whatever the combos, there's some really good fights to be made, for sure.

I backed Thurman to beat Pac. After slump in performances he seems to have bounced back!

I'm not sure why he wants to continue being punched in the head but he puts many to shame with his discipline.

I'd fancy him against Pacquaio, at the stage of his career, but when names like Crawford and Lopez get mentioned we need to remember these are potentially top ten of all time at their weight levels. It's not to say he won't, or can't, but they are already assured hall of fame level boxers - if he can come out top against them he's going to be able to rightfully claim himself as one of the best British boxers of all time. Super exciting to have someone from these shores who we can even think might be able. Gervonta Davis is another one who he'd need to be right on his game to beat.

Isn't Pac lining up to face Errol Spence?

I can only see Spence winning that now.

I hope Taylor gets these names within his next 10 fights or so. I think he could trouble Crawford. Be a tough ask to get a win and he'd probably need a knockdown or stoppage. Outboxing Crawford over 12 rounds might require a few big fight experiences.

I'd love anyone to flatten Gervonta Davis. Not seen much of him in a while. Thought he looked promising but then so did Broner. Seem similar characters?

Yeah, he's really exciting. Not sure if you saw the fight or not but he dropped Ramirez twice, both times with single shots and they were things of beauty in a kinda brutal fashion, obvs!

Chip off the Ken Buchanan block I'd say and doubtless the pride of Scotland just now and rightly so.

I wonder if Crawford will fancy it?

Yeah I saw it. And the best things about those knockdowns was they were done when fighting Ramirez's fight on the inside.

I love the way Taylor works on the inside. He's not super clean and it annoys me that some boxers want a clean punching contest. It's a fight! Enforcing rules is a refs job. I like some of Taylor's dirty work. He's what? 17/18 fights in but he's not naive

So Josh Taylor did the business against the previously undefeated Jose Ramirez and is now one of only 5 fighters to have unified a division in the 4 belt era. Calling out Terence Crawford for a fight in Edinburgh Castle next.

Fair play son, fair play! ?

He's great to watch too isn't he.

He has everything. He's fast, his fitness levels are insane, he's got a real nastiness to him, he's got so many dirty little tricks and if you want to fight him clean then well, he's an Olympic boxer.

He's really proven himself too. Regis Prograis and Ramires are two brutal fighters. And when the going got tough Taylor sucked it up and fought fire with fire.

I wouldn't bet against him vs anyone.

  13. This is why boxing, that's such a great sport inside the ring, will never get the crowd it deserves.

If fans are fed up of this nonsense how can a casual follower get sucked in.

Someone will feck up. This fight will never happen now. Not with them both champions

  14. I think there's blind fans of either fighter.

Some of the criticism aimed at AJ... that he can't box, he's stiff, no movement, gases out...

Look at the guys CV. He can bloody box and he is dangerous through a whole fight. How are they saying this? He's very obviously the biggest threat to Fury.

And then on the other side there's those that just don't respect the little things Fury does. The serious side of him hidden behind a clown mask. That think AJ is just gonna be able to drop bombs on Fury because Otto Wallin did. We're gonna see the best Tyson Fury we've ever seen. And considering his performances v Chisora, Wlad and Wilder that's a scary prospect. His CV might not match AJ's but when Fury is focused there's not a more natural boxer.
