"Hi guys, I was quite good at free kicks in an England team full of inflated egos. That is why we were always so poor in tournaments. But our friends in the media have successfully spun a narrative that people like me, JT, Lamps and Stevie G were great players. The only really good player from that copper generation was Ashley Cole, but he is black so the tabloids had to have a go at him. Rooney was great too, but just working class scum. Anyway, I want to see more ego, less squad harmony, more slavery to the filthy lucre. Only then might you get a 150 million gig to promote Qatar, even though you used to advocate for gay rights."
Mic drop.

We played 433.
Bellingham is more box-to-box, Henderson was the furthest one forward pressing and Rice was holding.
We played far better today and in this tournament in general than previously in a back three.
Bellingham has been key. He really is a monster in midfield and would get in any team in the world.
Bellingham has been the star. He's got it all.

Can't we clone Bellingham. Need more of em

Ref hates Saka

Keep inviting tackles around their area. They love diving in

These will lunge into every challenge.

Come on they've been hacking us down all over the park and the referee hasn't done anything. As soon as one of the French go down the game is stopped for two minutes.
But Hernandez life was on the line man!!
He really really hurt his foot.

We haven’t had the rub of the Green so far but we are the better team. I think Foden needs to move around and make himself available
Yeah he started doing that and suddenly we looked a lot more inventive

Hernandez going to survive this horrific life threatening injury?
Oh. He is.

I think we've played OK unlucky to be behind
Since going behind, definitely. But going behind was their own work.

Kane points his toes. It was clumsy but Kane is looking for that. Two straight legs and digs his toes in

I don't think the ref has done much wrong tbh
-
Amazing how much better it is when you stop playing head tennis in midfield under no pressure and you put some zip in a pass.
Ever seen walking football for the older gents? It's similar to the England start
-
Deserved that. Slow, negative and sloppy
-
How can you do sloppy passes when you're playing so slowly?

This ref is nuts.
I hope he's not doing England games

Referee just pulled a free kick back from the Brazil game it was that late

I saw that. I reckon Messi and the boys are happy to turn to anything now. They're rattled but LVG has decided to give them a breather. Holland doing nothing again now.

I reckon a sending off is due.
12 yellow cards?
I can't remember a bad tackle either?

Capello and Erikson kinda put me off big managers.
The best ones will stick to club football? So you're looking at an excluded bunch?
I think Southgate has proven he's one of the good among the bad. And although he's a tad negative he seems to have a good culture going. It's not a lads holiday that you got from the ultimate professionals like Capello.
In fact England, thanks to the popularity of the PL, have had superstars as far as I remember. But this group is fairly unremarkable aren't they?
They're even a bit boring like Southgate. But boringly professional.
