We know Mel owns the ground
We know that the Club leases the ground from Mel
As Mel owns the ground, allbeit with an intrest in it from MSD, how would Mel fund the loan payment to MSD if the club went into liquidation, what use is the ground without a football club
Its in Mel interest to sell the ground

Talking to the media could scupper any sort of deal, what if you say something that could be portrayed that Ashley is now in pole position, Appleby consortium drops out which lets Ashley offers less? Don’t think anybody would be happy with that
Keep quiet, got your business sorted and let everyone else play silly buggers if you ask me

I see this as a positive,  there are so many doom merchants saying it's all going tits-up because of Boro and Wycombe and funding etc, or the ownership of the ground, reading too much into click bait journalism and the twitter frenzy that sets off as a result.
Realistically,  interested parties are still interested despite having to deal with MM separately for the sale of the grd, which as far as the administrators are concerned is irrelevant to the creditors they are looking after,  so the numbers bandied around for ownership may not even have this taken into account, the owner of the club doesn't have to own the grd, it's just preferable.
No movement with Boro etc can also mean they don't have EFL support, but most importantly they have squashed the comments that a preferred bidder can't be announced until that is sorted.
Also, they have stated we are good for funding in short term, and part of the preferred bid would be to help with funding thereafter,  which is in everyone's best interest as again it keeps the club viable, so the imminent liquidation view can be put to bed. Clearly stating the preferred bidder will have an influence in player sales if any is also a positive.
Just let it run it's course, it's only been 4 months which as said before, is a short period for a football club in administration especially with the complexities we have.

There is 1 major update and that is the 2 stories in the paper are bo**ocks and the claims are not holding up naming a preferred bidder. That line was worth the update alone for me as it puts people minds at ease

I don’t think we’ll go under. But I do think we will need to concede something else to the EFL in order to get a sale done. It seems the EFL will keep chipping away until it is certain that we can’t stay up. I suspect they are terrified of the prospect of us staying up given the pressure they are under from other EFL clubs to ensure we go down.

It's just reached the point of pure embarrassment, from Boro, Wycombe and the EFL.
All those rival fans that are finding joy in all this when they could easily be next, wake up.
The game is littered with utter BS, we tried to find a different way with amortisation to compete with those awarded millions for failure, which the EFL retrospectively on Gibson's request found us guilty.
    Naughty Derby, grow up.
Rules have been retrospectively added to cover the EFL arses. Google enhanced embargo, see what comes up, Derby County, there was never a enhanced embargo before all this, it's something you came up with as Mel Morris publicly challenged you.
Meanwhile we have state owned clubs when sponsorships for official hotels, soaps and rubber ducks for 10x what they could buy this club for in the Premier League.
Do you not even realise how anti competitive the league that's responsible for your revenue is, do you not realise that the very existence of the Championship relies on multi millionaires prepared to be losing upwards of half a million a month, it's not sustainable even by your own rules.
Derby County reject a bid for their player which could be derisory, yet the EFL are on our case, are we in the position now where we have to sell Jason Knight for a fiver to keep Rick Parry happy, if that's the case then just end the game now.
We lost Kaide Gordon to Liverpool for a bag of monster munch and Freddo over that deal you agreed with the PL, how is that looking after your member clubs when they have to gift wrap the young stars that have been educated both on an off the field to satisfy the greed of the top 6 in this country.
Explain the benefit of that deal to your member clubs, please explain as from the fans that love the game, all we see is our clubs being screwed over.
Out of 2 play off finals which we were beaten, we were beaten by clubs that would have failed EFL FFP, we took it on the chin yet here we are, one club using bookies odds to build a case and another that didn't even earn promotion on merit jeopardising the existence of this club.
Meanwhile the MSM are far more interested in the likes of Man United and Newcastle to even realise what is going on outside the gold pit. The game is dying whilst the "journalists" are far more interested in finding the next tweet to create a clickbait article than actually do their jobs.
Nobody wants to touch it, why? We have a Serbian tennis player refused entry to a country and tournament, everyone, every journalist in sport is weighing in as we're sat here in limbo over let's not forget, retrospective punishment.
The EFL signed off our accounts that we have now been punished for, let that sink in.
I'm sick of it, sick of the rival fans looking to take the piss without understanding the situation, sick of the incompetent governing bodies, sick of Gibson and that Wycombe numpty.
We've rolled over, accepted the retrospective punishment, saved the EFL embarrassment of explaining themselves in court, yet the EFL are too gutless to tell the curly haired one to shut up as they are in fear of landing themselves in court over the utter shambolic way they have ran this league.
Grow some balls Rick, accept some responsibility over how the investigations were handled and do the right thing, tell Gibson to F off, tell Wycombe to F off and learn from your mistakes.

So I understand now that tonight was a poor performance, with no real pattern of play, where we were often playing too deep, inviting pressure, with a team where half of them were being played out of their natural positions. Thanks for that. No could someone kindly let me know the bloody score?

My view on the Boro, WW situation is clear, currently neither of these clubs have any legal claim against the Rams and will not until they get judgement in a court of law/LDP
The administrators can book the claims if they wish on the balance sheets as "contingent liabilities", but these would not crystallise until there was a judgement or an out of court settlement, I am looking forwards to seeing Boro's next set of accounts to see if they state their claim on their balance sheet, as deferred income?
I am a gambling man and would definitely have a side bet that these claims will come to exactly nothing. The EFL cannot do anything unless there is a judgement against the Rams and as such any Wrist slitting about this is pointless and a waste of time. I believe that either interested party coming in will tough it out with both clubs with " And if you think your hard enough bring it on" Ashley loves litigation as do most USA companies, given the state of Boro's finances I cannot see that they have deep enough pockets to fight a lot cause.

Everyone (well most) on here are entrenched in their position. Guess that’s modern life, but I don’t think it would hurt seeing as it we are bothering to spend time on a chat/forum to see stuff from different perspectives.

Cant see how they can be a creditor until they have won the possible court case when they actually get round to suing us.

I suppose we should really have known that was most likely not Morris causing the delays, but rather Gibson and the EFL. It's simply yet another stalling tactic that will result in an avalanche of subsequent claims against the EFL should they be feeble enough to cave in.
    CREDITOR:
A term used in accounting, 'creditor' refers to the party that has delivered a product, service or loan, and is owed money by one or more debtors.
Neither Boro nor Wycombe fall into any of the above categories so they can't legally be added to the creditor's list. The admins will have to protect the interests of those with genuine claims and will fight any such attempt. I strongly suspect that this is what they referenced in their press release to BAWT.
The Pint-sized pemaprick and that other irrelevant gobshite therefore need to be reined in and told that if they genuinely wish to pursue their vexatious claims against the club, that they need to do so through appropriate channels. That is to say, they need to stop whining, and duck off to the civil courts if they really believe they have a worthwhile case.
