Nearly sprayed coffee across the kitchen when someone suggested Villa as well run club. They are just lucky gamblers vs Mel/Us as unlucky gambler.
If being well run means hoping to roll a double six then I suppose it’s true.

So would you pay top dollar for Norwich , West Brom or Fulham in their biennial tour of Premier league grounds? More than double what you would pay if they were in the Championship? I wouldn't.
A bit more but “not a lot” as the little wizard used to say.

Was in London at the weekend (I ran the marathon) and used public transport a lot.
I recon only about 1 in 4 wore masks (young and older equally) despite it being the actual law still there with plenty of signs and tannoy announcements.
Think the country has largely given up now in my view.
(I wore mine BTW)

Let’s hope Allsop can complete a game without letting one in through his legs.

Yes, very informative.
I was wondering if we are lucky enough to end up with 2 potential buyers, who do the administrators choose ?
eg. 1 bid is for £100m from an experienced, reliable football investment group
& 1 bid is for £120m from an inexperienced investment group with no track record in football - but they both pass the fit & proper test
who would the administrator choose ?
Do they have a duty to recover the most money or to sell to the best group for DCFC ?
Hopefully the EFL “Fit n Proper” tests will ensure that both are acceptable owners?
(or will they… ?)

Is there going to be any fan involvement in takeover do we think? Been little chatter on it for a few days.

PL want no relegation from or promotion to the Premier League
Why is that good for the PL? It is the thing that keeps most of the games interesting at all.

Well done the lads…

Part of me thinks that a many of the champ teams would probably want Derby relegated (but left close to fully operational for next L1 season) such that we quickly bounce back as we will bring better revenue (tv games, away tickets) than replacing us with a minor L1 team.

We've got a 12 point deduction due to going into administration. We are expecting a further points deduction from the financial fair play charges.
The question is, when will the EFL impose this second points deduction?
Will it be immediately after the charges are proved
Will the EFL wait to see where we look like finishing in the league before implementing the points deduction.
Or will they suspend the points penalty until next season, to prolong our punishment
If EFL want to ENSURE we are relegated they will need to do it this season. Assuming we carry on current form it will be close.

They clearly have a number who they will put into an auction process That’s what was suggested
Hope it is not just highest bidder criteria if there are several. Need to filter out any dodgy geezers.

I have been to middlesbrough.
My main feeling about the place was "I now have no need to visit an industiral city in Russia around the time of the fall of communism"
Steve McClaren seems to like it for some reason as he still lives there.
Is he still employed by us by the way? Anyone know?

Guess we will find out the answer to this at press conference today? Simple yes no answer to the question.
If it’s anything other than yes (they will be paid) then that probably means no.

If we were reborn, but managed to keep the ground, would be interesting to see where we restarted. In this case, with still a decent attendance, we'd be way richer than the teams at the lowest level and able to fund a much stronger team. Perhaps we may start around Conference North level?
I guess those leagues would be interested in having us (for the money) and may be happy to expand by one more team?
