  1. We are down yes . But what crossed my mind is the players know a deal is close now and there prob realising some of them only have a few weeks left at the club .

Gone are the days of playing with pride although i dont put curtis davies in this bracket ( future manager ).

I think a few have given up they know there out . Just get use now to div 3 and new owners and a new team . Sooner this season is over the better .

  2. Good job im not taking over as i would be screaming from the roif tops " Derby fans your troubles are over " . I will make it my priority to squash the turd of middlesborough and take our rightful place in the prem on attendances alone.  To the muppets down the a52 .....i give you barbara clough saying about brian ...what was his favourite win in all that he won . Barbara then takes out the medal hanging on her neck " this one she says ......derbys first championship . Says it all doesnt it . Right im just off to place my euro lottery ticket .......stranger things have happened.  I would also place b4 in charge of the flange sales.

P.s For the ones that dont know the barbara bit is actually true and not enough is made of it in the faces of those red dogs.

  3. I have already siad this is going to be the case we have either got it totally written off or its been reduced by half but i think getting this we have had to accept no appealing on the over spending charge .Personally think its got to be -6 + -9 = -15 or just -9 .

The -9 makes the lovely man in middlesborough happy but he wont half be hopping about on the admin charge failing lol .

Think this is going to happen as there are bigger wheels turning with the people who want to takeover and hmrc getting their slice as well .Alot is going off behind the scenes the idea of the panel being independant is laughable .It might be independent but the result isnt its already in the brown envelopes . Just like the brown envelope that made sure there wasnt an accountant on the 2nd hearing .

Trust me its all already sorted .

To be honest I think we might get the 12 points reduced to -6 and it makes a bit of sense to do so.

-The EFL get to keep the -9 + the 3 suspended which is the strong punishment and waives off Wycombe and Boro from further action against Derby or the EFL.

-If we get it deduced to -6 then we just about remain competitive in the league, we have something to play for.

I’m not basing it on anything, but it is the cleanest solution to which everyone can then move on.

Exactly what ive said but you never know it might be 0 for administration waived away under covid . A one time excuse for the efl if they want to keep us in league and keep gibbo happy .

If you ask me i think the efl and the administrators have already done a deal . Where going to get 6 points knocked off the admin penalty Buttttttttttt only if Derby accept a possible 9 points from the accounting mess up . So a total of -15 or maybe if we are ultra lucky -6 for them both . Which would tie into rooneys -12 we have a chance of getting out idea .

I honestly think the efl do not want to see a club the size of Derby in a lower division even if the prat Steve Gibson does .

Watch this space because i think all the deals have already been done on the penalty side of things , its just who is taking us over .

Quoting my own words here .

    Think about this !! ??

Why would you sack 20 people saving on wages then spend 300k on the possible outcome of a negative appeal on the -12 .

    You wouldnt would you .

There is alot going off behind closed doors . Believe me we will win the appeal and it will be either 0 points deducted or -6 . But its going to come at a cost of accepting the 2nd one so we cant appeal it . There is a possibility we could just end up with -9  or get 2 x -6  . Somethings cooking behind the scenes as you dont spend 300k without knowing the result having sacked around 20 jobs . If you dont believe this then your probably in the same group as who believe Diana Spencer was accidently killed in that car crash .........wakey wakey people .

  7. There are alot of people on here begging for Mike Ashley who when this has all passed and the club have survived will be moaning like hell when there is no investment in players .These same people who moaned about the dour football of the Nigel Clough era .

The thing is people esp fans have very short memories and once the dust settles they wil lsoon sing a different hymn on Mike Ashley just like the Newcastle fans do .

Incidentally i live a few miles from the sports direct empire in Shirebrook and the place is a right sh**hole and full of non english people who are employed there . He isnt a very nice bloke and i for one do not want him anywhere near , there are others to save us .

  8. The thing that bothers me is the lack of radio Derby trying to get an indepth interview with Steve Gibson , i think that would make an interesting interview .Especially now he is trying to punish Derby even further with trying to sue us once the 12 points was announced .

Remember the EFL only brought this against us after complaints by others namely Mr GIBSON FOR ONE .

Surely thats the source that radio Derby and the evening telegraph should be making feel lets say uncomfortable , so far they are slinging stones from afar via the EFL and getting away with it .

They only became truly appreciated between October 2013 and February 2015. I seem to recall allot of "Slick Glick" and "get the Yanks out" comments. Even if they came back, it wouldn't be long before a certain section of the fanbase started to resent them. But they'd be good custodians imo.

    Exactly my thoughts .

Fans are still expecting a promo push either in league 1 or championship . I would think in league 1 we can possibly just . But in the championship to be a level based club living within their means there isnt a chance of a promotion push unless where incredibly good in buying in low value excellent players .

What this has brought home to me is just how unfair the championship is i guess ive always known it but its taken Derby poss going under to properly understand it and for it to sink home . I do have a little bit of sympathy for Mel chasing the dream he has had to . But not at the expense of how he has now pulled out and left Derby possibly going bust .Even though i secretly think he knows a buyer is there for certain and thats why its been done .

it depends if you want boom and bust, the boom of Mel's spending was exciting but its not nice when it ends

Totally agree , but im not sure our fans after 2 seasons pass by will be happy with signing low cost players and mid table finishes . This now coukd take quite awhile unless were incredibly lucky to get a championship promotion squad together . I dont think the enormity of it all has hit home with most fans yet .

Infact i think once new owners are in place there going to expecting fireworks, hopefully for most now reality has hit home .

  11. Personally i dont want gse or rush , we have been there and done it ,lets not go back they have had there chance . Only if there is no other option would i go with this .

On another note regarding vendetta and the efl , do some people not think radio Derby didnt push hard enough if there isnt a vendetta to explain why no accountant on the 2nd sitting . He didnt truly explain that properly at all . Seemed to me to give a half blustered reply and radio Derby didnt press it again .Personally thought they were able to pass that off to easily .For me it still has not been properly explaind . To add fuel to fire its obvious gibson is pushing buttons in the fact he is now trying to sue Derby . Is there nothing we can do to complain to authorities to bring this to light . Newspapers seem scared to even report it .

Has radio Derby approached Mr Gibson for an interview so he can explain his actions and why the constant attack .Surely if he is whiter than white we might understand the man rather than think he is just a petty chairman that has a beef and cant let things go .

  12. One thing puzzles me .Do we want owners that just steady the ship ? . If i remember right unders gse didnt we use to moan alot about lack of funding and buying players , everything just became stale ? . Or do you want owners with pots of money who will prob gamble and again put us in the same pickle . The problem is as time goes by fickle fans forget and posts start appearing of nigel clough type football its boring , i would sooner us have a real go and go bust bar watch this drivel .

It seems where caught on a double edged sword , hoping the fans now understand what we are in for .

I may be one of the only people who listened to the radio Derby interview and thought, there's still a chance Mel knows what he is doing. It's a long hard road, but he knows it will end up 'ok'.

That isn't positive, more deluded optimism, but that is all I have.

Nope im a bit in that camp , you never know whats being discussed that cant be discussed . But it will come out in the wash wont it , all we can do now is wait for the required time to lapse and see what leaks out over time .

There could be gentlemans ageements in place already with someone you never know .

My points deduction im expecting though is -12 for admin and -4 for the 4 million loss .The -4 being implemented this year or next whenever those poor little efl chiefs decide to hit us some more . If we get more than a total of -16 i will be a little shocked i must admit .

  14. Personally think Mel is correct on his covid argumement and the tv rights .This has obviously upset a few big fish in the efl , which has also meant he wasnt liked and watched closely he didnt want to tow the line and they dont want to be told what to do . His biggest plus is why no accountant on the 2nd independant panel , neither radio Derby or any newspapers are reporting this as odd behaviour from the efl . As it does look very much like a stitch up . His downfall is the stadium sale although tech legal it was legally cheating and losing far to much money on players and managers the club could afford . So he has gambled at the clubs livelihoods expense .A gamble that can lead to liquidation whichever way you look at it that puts mel on a par with Maxwell . Sorry to say i liked Mel but on quite a few occasions he has gambled to much or thought he was to clever . You need a safer pair of hands on the tiller even if that makes for mundane transfer windows and football .

  15. Another thing i agreed with him on covid has hit the bigger clubs harder that are pushing to match the clubs that have come down with parachute payments you can see his side of this surely . The things he has done wrong for me is the stadium sale to himself that stinks even if tech legal . Also wasted millions on unwise decisions on players and managers to the point he cant fund this anymore . When you add onto this he has plainly put noses out of joint on tv rights ( i happen to think he is correct by the way ) and this has caused the big wigs at the efl to come gunning for him . Derby ought to be able to challenge who sat on the 2nd independant panel judging our accounts , the fact it lacked an accountant like the first time stinks of an efl set up , this should go to a higher court of law .
