At least when we get liquidated we’re allowed back into league 2. Especially if we’d start in league 1 with -15.
People need to realise here’s duck all to buy, especially when you can get another championship club for not much more.
Mel Morris, the man that stripped Derby of its assets (stadium) and  is about to get it liquidated. He should be chucked in prison for being able to do this.

We enjoyed the signings because we stupidly and wrongly thought that Morris and DCFC could afford these signings....but if we knew it was putting our club in jeopardy of course we would'nt...
what?? are we supposed to not like every signing because we think the controller/owner/man in charge of our football club is gambling with our future???? No we/ I thought Morris is a business man knows how to run a business so you trust him......only to over spend....not pay the tax man and then walk away....please wake up and smell the coffee mate....its a ludicrous statement to make saying did we like the signings?? of course we did....what we did not know was we had someone slowly sentencing our club to all of this misery.....He was and is responsible for this and he should be giving the stadium back as he's walked away from debt he orchestrated!! fact?

As I read that I'm thinking, are there other bids?
Have the administrators been forced to reject the only bid on the table, because it wasn't high enough.
Then I'm thinking that's not possible a credit with a brain, takes a lower amount because its better than nothing.

I give my support to Barnsley on this.
Reading must be given the full six points, after what's happened to Derby why should Reading be exonerated just by agreeing to follow a business plan.
The 6 point deduction for Reading would seriously help Derby and the efl should not be allowed to give Reading a method to avoid it else why not have given the same method to Derby.

I think there are a few things being muted about Reading.
    - that they are not adhering to their business plan. Not sure how people would know that and just because they signed Carroll, Drinkwater etc doesn't mean went outside it.
    - their accounts for 20/21 show a large overspend with large wage bill (not part of FFP calculation or penalty), so the question is are they cutting their cloth. Who knows as it took us years to reduce our wage bill and off load the big earners.
    - their business plan allows them to spend over the FFP limits. If so, the EFL need a smack, any FFP plan should ensure adherence to FFP limits. If I remember rightly Readings wage bill is about 240% of their income.
if Reading or us for that matter have a business plan that allows us to break FFP and we have received a suspended penalty then Barnsley have a point.

so If Reading stay up expect Peterborough, Barnsley and Derby to get the number for their lawyers out.

I'm waiting for the EFL to allow Reading to sign 2 star footballers from Russia and then block us from doing the very same thing.

9 derby players to potentially leave in the summer.
So huge rebuild, the longer Derby leave going out to players to assess for signing, the harder it becomes to have a team ready to play next season regardless of the league derby are playing football in.
Discussions on signing free agents are pointless and less the club can actually compete on salaries paid to get such players to join and in any case if Derby is in league one, then the best free agents will not come to Derby.
To rebuild quality and depth in the squad is going to take capital.
When it comes to any new owner its not a matter of just taking on a massive debt, they would most likely want to see a return, and they cant do that the longer Derby stays in league one, if thats where the club plays football next season.
Even assuming Derby survive for next season, what will be left of the club, will not be in a position to really look at the top 6 in the championship without a number of players being signed.

In my opinion Rooney knew that if the best and in my opinion, only decent striker at the club was sold in January, the club had zero chance of avoiding relegation.
    So Tom wasn't sold.
Plange was starting to do well for Derby, but Haa gone missing in action lately.
The efl said why didn't the club sell Lawrence for a bargain fee, who would that help.
It doesn't help Derby to sell him for less than he's worth.
The further nonsense from the efl could be next season, assuming that Derby are relegated and still receive a 15pt reduction.
So new owner gets a two years in League one and needs to pay 50 million for a club without a football stadium plus needs to entirely rebuild the squad.
The efl continues on its useless course of not having the power to intervene when owners misbehave.
The efl could easily have stepped in and said to Morris, he's not selling Derby in the way he sold Derby.

The 'Sale' is wooden dollars transaction, basically, he technically sold the stadium to another company he owned for the value of £81.1M.  This was a paper transaction to write off  the soft loans (money pumped into the club to keep us afloat and avoid breaching P&S rules).
So where did the £81.1M go, nowhere it never really existed.  The difference between the old book value of the club was subtracted from the new one to balance out the loses....
He did however have to factor in the Stamp Duty Land Tax to HMRC when purchasing tge stadium form himself to himself, shows the despiration of it all really, not the act of a shred businessman!
This needs outlawing to stop assets from football clubs being extracted to protect inept owners covering thier loses in tge event thst thier high stakes poker games do not pay off....

Could it be that bids made were to low for creditors to accept, they wanted the full amount but didnt get that.
So now they are staring at a loss, but while a partial loss is better than nothing, it still doesnt mean that the creditors have to accept that.
The creditors might want to get nothing, thats their choice.

Their concerns may well be proved to be well founded but the statement was, at the time it was issued, a little premature. However you work out the expiry of the extension (5pm, 6pm or 23:59) their statement was issued before that deadline had arrived.

IMO they should have withheld the issue of any public statement until either an update had been received or the deadline had passed.
