You're taking this as a personal attack on a player when it's really just an observation that the club has a history of hoping to recreate past glories by bringing back individual players in circumstances that were completely against them. 
Kev - you've said
Shackell - a great year under Clough, brought back on high money and wasn't the same as the team had moved on. 
Wisdom - great marauding right back in mac 1,brought back under rowett and wasn't able to reach the same heights, as the team was totally different. 

Nah, one goal doesn't cover the disappointment of the 2nd spell as a whole, which was only disappointing in comparison to the heights of the first spell. 
Otherwise I'd have to give credit to Wiz for his last minute winner vs Wycombe, which in its own way also kept us up. 

Going back for 2nds didn't work well with wisdom, shackell or even kev the king. 
Let bygones be bygones. 
 

On balance, I'm pleased this appears to be untrue. Returning former players fail more times than they succeed I think. We've been lucky in past with a few (Davison, George, Gemmill and Zak spring to mind) but they were legends first time around and Waggy, nice lad though he is, wasn't.

Please no. Saved us from relegation with his last day performance a couple of years ago, only after being awful all season and missing countless chances. Beyond that, would rather leave the past in the past. 

If nis wages are low I think it’s an awesome addition to the bench.

He’s crap. Doesn’t hold the ball up, doesn’t run in behind, isn’t a good winger, isn’t great up top. Scores a few goals but not to the extent of making a difference.

I think knights a better attacking midfielder as well, and that means not having him in that position  means we miss goal assist opportunities.
I think that Conor Hourihane is a good player, he's tactically astute but I'm wondering if he lacks speed. Is he becoming a better defensive midfielder than attacking midfielder.
I'm concerned about Collins as mentioned before, 3 goals in 23 matches last season.
I think we still lack a real goal threat.
I'd wanted a May or a Stockton, a player capable of scoring more than 20 goals in as season in league one.
Collins did that 3 years ago, he's older now.
Only time will tell.

Yeah, where he played last week. They’ve “predicted” we’ll go with the same team, which isn’t much of a stretch I suppose. I’d prefer to see Knight and Smith swapped so Knight’s energy is in the middle of the park, but  I suspect Rosenior will go with the “if it ain’t broke” approach as we’ve not yet added a specialist, “senior” right back to the squad.
