Phuket Ram reacted to Ram a lamb a ding dong in The Administration Thread
A lot of squabbling on here and general lack of clarity which is having such a negative effect on us all; me included.
My take is as follows:
EFL continue to slopey shoulders everything
MFC and WWFC to reject Mels offer as they know they stand zero chance in court
Mel to come back in and take an indemnity to accept any potential financial loss.
Appleby to take over
All to be done this month
Agree that once a resolution is reached EFL to change regs asap to ban any future claims between clubs incl retrospective
MFC and WWFC to be chased up for compo by Q due to their farcical behaviour. EFL most likely to be also.

The claims are against Derby and their directors I believe. So that would include Mel personally just as EFL charged Chansiri personally along with Sheff Wed when they took their action against them jointly.

The massive pressure needs to go on the EFL. They could accept Morris' offer and rule any potential claim from Gibson as non-football at the stroke of a pen opening up the chance of a takeover.
They could do that now, right this minute. Job done.
Team Derby, MP's and fans have this opening now to force Parry into a correct and fair way out of it all. Its down to him, one man, Rick Parry can give DCFC a fighting chance of survival or he can carry on with his disgraceful vendetta against us.

I don't care how the boys play. It could be that this is finally what is needed to allow the Club to be sold. Mel's statement contained some interesting facts that it was good to get into the open and the timing was spot on. The tweet from Amanda Solloway saying the EFL reneged on letting Q go to Court over whether the claim was a football debt was also good to know.

I would imagine if MM is prepared to take on these costs he will want to have his own legal team driving this. Given Qs success to date I wouldn't blame him either.

I agree with you 100%, but the only way they’ll have a chance of winning is in their kangaroo court.

Phuket Ram reacted to curb in The Administration Thread
But of course they won’t, this is the EFL we’re talking about after all.

Phuket Ram reacted to Sparkle in The Administration Thread
He’s not legally obligated to do any of it so it’s not a real question is it. Morris has made a fair offer and whoever turns it down will look like what they are.

As the claims are based on claims they were defrauded due to the actions of a director I believe that director could be held personably liable.

He could have spent as much as he liked as long as the Club was financially safe.
He promised he pay the Clubs 'expenses' until he found a buyer, he didn't.

I agree with your comments about the EFL being dinosaurs that much is true.
Think Mel tried to be far too clever for his own benefit and nobody likes a smartarse, I should know.

I accept that I may be alone with this view… so don’t all pile on, I am fully aware that in the end it was a disaster, but….
I read and 100% agree with everything that Mel says in his lengthy letter.
He slams the EFL for their almost childlike behaviour from the very beginning; making up rules to suit themselves; systematically removing all of the (fair and reasonable) options Mel had, creating this whole ******** scenario to suit their board member.
let’s not forget too much that the EFL are way more to blame for this mess than Mel - he was a smart guy, did some really smart things but at the end of the day, the EFL sucked away his will. They don’t like smart people with their smart ideas.
EFL are self righteous dinosaurs, and they will become extinct when the dust settles. They can’t survive the shambles they have created, and I for one will be celebrating when they are removed (even if we are in the Midlands North division).
Don’t shoot me. But most of us agreed with every move Mel made at the time.. maybe a few too many sackings but hey… at least he tried.. ?

Phuket Ram reacted to DCFC1388 in The Administration Thread
Convenient he has withdrawn his bid now the biggest obstacle could be removed & he is likely not going to be the PB as his bid is lower than the Binnies - what did he expect? The admins to take his lower off because of his name?
Its like me bidding 150k on a 200k house & when someone bids the asking price I pull out of the race even though I was never going to get the house
-
Phuket Ram reacted to sage in Poll: Do you think Boro & Wycombe will take Mel on?
Not a chance because they know they won't win. It will further highlight how vexacious these claims are though. I wish Mel had done this a month ago.

For me, the admins need a court judgement and ASAP! as I’ve been saying for ages, I don’t know why they think that trying to convince the EFL is even a remote starter.. complete waste of time, same for arbitration, also a complete waste of time. Get on with it admins!!!

Phuket Ram reacted to SamUltraRam in The Administration Thread
Remember when Mel Morris gave his post administration interview to Radio Derby & made the 'this will be better in the long term' comment
Well that's not going too well so far is it Mel ??

This! Even if liquidated, we’d have the highest attendance in the Derby South division (or where ever). 30,000 against Mickleover Sports - now that would be a spectacle!!

Here are a few snippets of MM
Sack your manager and then re-employ him a year later. Sign players (who never play) on large contracts with optional extensions.
Pay Paul Inces missus to give a recommendation that Messi would be a good signing.
Sack more managers.
Give a player, on loan to a rival, a pay rise while playing for them.
Cancel a training session in Dubai after playing crap one game.
Sack another manager.
I think if he owned Forest we’d be pissing ourselves.
