I would throw Bamford in to this theory too. Mac didn't bring Bamford on in the 2014 play off game until it was too late even when QPR were down to 10 men. Then Bamford gets signed by Boro.. and then Leeds. Plus both Mac and Bamford have Forest connections too.

Exactly. A player wage bill of £30 million  for 23 players (average £1.3 milion each) when six senior players are on under £500k pa and there's quite a few kids, Ebosele, Macdonald , Stetton ,Watson all probably on less than that. The only player we signed from a Premier team was Bielik and his wages are hopefully being paid under insurance. The rest are former academy graduates, Bird,  Sibley, Buchanan and Knight, plus a few old pros/ journeymen like Byrne and Marshall (from Wigan when they were in admin) , Shinnie from a lesser Scottish team, CKR from wherever he last rocked up.
So I don't think there can be more than three players (at most)  on over £1 million a year, not 23 of them!

We need a quick sale so that things are sorted before January. We will sell players for sure but that will be decision of the new owners and hopefully not a fire sale

Well yes. A 1 in 20 chance of the Rams being liquidated is still far too high. It must never be allowed to happen.

An earthquake is a Force Majeure event, but the impact on a wooden structure is likely to be much more severe than on a building that has been designed to withstand it.
That difference doesn't change the nature of the event. One building collapses, the other doesn't.

The administrators presumably have better information than maguire … and they are not so negative. I don’t think there is any likelihood  of points deduction next year.

Admin have been on talk sport said there had been six credible offers and last night a seventh from America with over $1 billion dollars in it's funding also lots of clowns on e mail making offers.
Also said they will ask for proof of £5 million in a Uk bank account non refundable before allowing anyone to proceed to negotiate and they hope to get a deal over the line in the next 90 days.
Also four local business had offered to loan funds to keep the club ticking over.

Can't compare Derby's loss of £20 million in revenue with the other 72 clubs, most of them lost nothing like that. Most of the bigger teams in the Championship had parachute money, or got Covid support money. We may be first into admin but we will not be the last.

Where does it say SOLELY in the EFL Rules?

Wigan's administrators brought a force majeure defenceand lost.. but this is what the tribunal said..
"We reject the submission of Mr Taylor QC that there were other, also effective, causes,
including the significant increase in the Club’s players’ wages and on transfers. That
these made the Club increasingly dependent on the owner’s continuing support is clearly
true. But so long as that support continued, the ship would have stayed afloat. It was
only when the owner pulled the plug that it sank."

So the overspend by Derby on wages etc may have contributed but were not the cause. In Wigan's case the owner withdrew support 7 days after taking over. So they were on a loser. Derby have a much strongr force majeure case, especially as it was MSD , not the owner, who filed for administration, so that was outside the control of the owner.

It's not an argument at all. How did covid affect Derby , not how did it affect other clubs. And the fact that EFL gave a loan to other clubs but not Derby doesnt help EFL's case if that is what it is anyway.
