EFL want to deduct 9 points on top of the 12 point deduction. That is an isuse which will not go away until the appeal on the 12 point deduction is heard at the earliest imo.

Here is the Parliamentary Committees response to Bury's collapse
    https://www.parliament.uk/globalassets/documents/commons-committees/culture-media-and-sport/191104-Chair-to-Debbie-Jevans-EFL-re-football-inquiry.pdf
So recommending an independent regulation and licensing system.

Penalties for individuals not for clubs. Warnings to EFL not to repeat their failings of Bury.
Yet no sign yet of EFL learning from their mistakes is there?
If it happens again there will be no second chances for EFL they wil be replaced as regulator for sure.

The Efl issued a public statement in March 2019 stating that the only club to have been found in breach of ffp rules for 3 year period period ending 2017/18 was Birmingham City.
So why would we not think our accounts up to then we’re not ok according to Efl?
and we made the disclosures of the amortisation policy in 2016. Wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume if there was anything wrong with that policy Efl would have said so before January 2020?

They were “disappointed “ that we dated to mention them not giving us the loan for the COVID that they said we weren’t eligible for … forgetting to mention the reason we weren’t eligible us because of their trumped up charges against us.
oh and then they were “shocked” we dared to appeal against the 12 point deduction.
as you say not very professional for any body to be sulking like that .

I think it was more than just an absence of a negative. Efl were very much in the loop on the stadium sale for example, asking for minor adjustments to the price to be included in the ffp results. Then suddenly 18months later saying they wanted £40 million off the price.

There is a separate thread on Derby’s appeal against the administration penalty .. which in part will help to identify the cause of that problem.
in my view , the root cause of the problem is the unfair distribution of TV money, both as you say between the EPL and the EFL and across teams in the EFL who get parachute money.
that unfairness produces the incentive for teams not in receipt of those unfair payments to stretch their budgets to the limits, and to resort to desperate tactics to balance their budgets such as stadia sale .. which most of the big clubs outside of EPL have done … Derby, Villa, Birmingham, Reading , and Sheffield Wednesday. Forest haven’t owned their own ground for years.
and in my view the proximate cause of our administration is COVID.

EFL has not helped in either of these … failure to negotiate a proper TV deal for Championship teams , failure to distribute the money fairly.

and making spurious and /or retrospective claims against Derby which then made them ineligible for the COVID loan .
Efl couldn’t have been more destructive towards Derby if they had been trying actually I think they are being deliberately destructive to us.

mel Morris is no longer the owner of the club and anyway is if anything a symptom of the problem not the problem itself.

He’s making noise I think because the fans have a grievance about being relegated.
    so he’s blaming Derby.

in terms of a legal or financial case it makes no sense.

I only listened to hosking not to Jordan’s comments afterwards.
probably a sound move , Jordan talking nonsense. Derby will not be sold to a Phoenix except as an absolute last resort which we are probably months away from .
my understanding of what hosking was saying is they would choose a preferred bidder in 3 weeks time.

if that falls through we would still have option of second or third choice but hopefully the deal should be done before Christmas or possibly slip to first week in jan

He doesn’t know if he is a secured creditor? Well is there a legal charge registered against any of Derby’s assets? No? How could you not know this being a lawyer?

Wycombe claim is as  an unsecured creditor , as unsecured as it gets floating in the sky like all the other pies.
