Shirt is OK, just a shame that the shorts are the wrong colour.

We have something broadly in common. He has resigned from 69 companies (possibly a life times work) and I am resigned to never having a 69 again in my remaining life time.

I'm all for a long throw merchant joining.   We give possession away from at least half of our throw ins in the final third so may as well throw the ball into the box and make the opposition defend.  It feels like it would be a prime Warne tactic too so surprised we didn't try it last season.

How lucky are we to support this amazing football club, first time I’ve seen that 🐏

For Fozzy's testimonial and for most cup games the club now closes half the ground.
I sit in the West Stand and part of the appeal is sitting with matchday friends. I also heard a South Stander on Radio Derby saying he doesn't go to games when the South Stand is closed.
Clearly the club are doing it as it some analysis has shown it will save money. I wonder if it actually does though. I hardly ever go if I can't sit in 'my' seat and I always would if I could.
    Any thoughts?

That would be me on the radio 🙂
No my opinion is that I wont go to the games if the South Stand is not open. Just my personal preference. However, I totally understand the costs involved and can see why they do it, from a South Stand point of view though, if you want atmosphere this stand needs to be open for any competitive fixture.
For low level fixture such as friendlies, Papa etc it's just not cost effective to have the catering facilities, stewards etc in stands that wont even top 200 odd..
For me the East Stand and South is a perfect fit. Want to sit and watch the game you go East and if you want some atmosphere you go South.

If Jim's team had played in blue and white, we'd have beaten West Ham, qualified for Europe, doubled our income and had enough cash to maintain our top 6 status into the Premier League era.
We didn't build on our post war success and gradually dropped into the 3rd Division North because we were carrying the albatross of black shorts.
Brian Clough quickly realised that his genius was being limited by those shorts and changed them. Suddenly we were the best in the country and only a bent ref away from being the best in Europe.
Do we want Colin Todd, Archie Gemmil and Kevin Hector or Claude Davies, Bob Malcolm and Robert Earnshaw?

Bizarre start to the thread. Only two people so far have got the answer correct.
How can anyone opt for Maxwell black over Clough navy blue?

Got a bit of time for their fans. They were very staunch in their support of us when times were darkest for the club. Even when we beat them at their place, they were applauding our lads and singing f*** the EFL with our lot. Good few online were hugely complimentary about our away support too. It was heartwarming and uplifting stuff when it was needed and it won't be forgotten in a hurry.
