It's an absolute nonsense that sports has to take a weekend off.
The nation is simply not in some sort of collective chasm of grief despite what the media are presenting. A vast majority of people simply want to crack on.

Derby and Forest have spent the majority of their existence in the top fight of English football. How many seasons have Brighton spent there? 5? We're talking about clubs who have won league titles. Brightons greatest achievement is a lofty 9th placed finish. It's not even an argument. 

How big a club is has nowt to to do with whether or not Cooper moves to Brighton or a few mid table finishes though. Wigan have spent more time in the top division than Derby and Forest in the last 20 years.  Are Bournemouth a bigger club than either ?  Historically Forest are a much more successful club.  Man Utd didn't win the league for 25 years.  Arsenal won 1 title in 20.   If history is irrelevant we may as well not bother and melt down anything won in the last 135 years.  Makes no sense to me. Both clubs will always be bigger than bloody Brighton.  

Much as pains me, I would never think of a move from Forest to Brighton as a step up .  Historically, there a 3rd/4th tier team who only spent 4 years in the top flight prior to this spell.

The worrying thing for them is that they used to have players who didn't mind going there.   Can't see that many takers amongst the ones they've brought who'll still think they're world class billy big bollox.   More likely mega strops till they get a move to the inevitably promoted Norwich or some mid table La Liga at half the price paid.

I can't see Leeds going.  They somehow escaped the second season malaise last minute..  Plus they'll be well in the top half and super confident when they wup Forest 4-0 next week.

Hourihane hasn't been the player we hoped so far.  He was very much an attacking player at Barnsley though and his first season at Villa.  We seem to leave him to deep.  Yesterday he seemed to struggle after getting a good one on the shin early second half when someone played a short ball titting around at the back.  Kept pulling his shin pad down and the gash was bleeding 20 minutes later.  Probably should have come off. 

Think that applies to a fair few clubs but Plymouth have played us at a higher level on a number of occasions.  Basically it came down they looked fitter and more organised. We clearly have a fair few players who have an hour in them when they have to run around a bit, after an hour  of doing that they look ragged and tired.  Think the trick may be to avoid starting two forwards with a combined age of nearly 70 and use one at a time with a set of young legs.  Shove someone with a better engine in midfield as well and we may get a better output from Hourihane as he'll have more in the tank latter stages when the games stretched.   I also could see Barkhuizen being used more effectively as a second half introduction .  He has a trick or two with quick feet and will draw silly fouls against tiring fullbacks.

I think we all know that's likely to last 5-6 games unfortunately.  He's had over 3 months out with a knee twinge.   In real money that's an injury from the start of the season to November.  He only has a year let as well.  He'll be leaving on a free or nominal fee in the summer I'd say
