Chelsea are a smaller club than Derby.  They've just had 25 years of Oligarchs money, Man City aren't any bigger than Derby, West Ham are smaller despite the delusion as are Leeds who only came to prominence in the 60's then disappeared again for 15 years, then again after that.  Sunderland are a bigger club than Newcastle whose support in the 90's when they were crap sucked.  I saw it.  I dislike Leicester fans more than Forest as they are all w******.  
The premier league was a far lower quality in 07/08  than when we were it before and it's worse now.

I hope they didn't show the tattoo of Stuart Atwell and Gary Neville on either side of his a*******.  About the same size as the average back cover.

The current England team is nowhere near as good as the team from the early 00's (Golden Generation).
Thorne should never have played vs Ipswich, wasnt worth the risk.....same for Mount vs Acc Stanley.
Nigel Pearson should have been given at least a full season, but then McClaren shouldnt have been sacked when he was the 2nd time around.

10 years as a league 2 regular will get you around 900k in wages. Not too shabby.  If you break your leg after 6 months and can't play you'll get an insurance compensation well in excess of most redundancy packages.  I'd agree that was probably the case 30 years ago when wage was probably 25% of the current rate and the educational aspect of scholarship was not part of criteria.  I knew a lad back in 95 who got bombed out by Notts County at 17 with no qualifications and wandered for a bit, same with a relative who couldn't quite make it at Port Vale.  Both did ok though after fixing their mindset on something else.  

I'm pretty sure they scored a goal at Sheff Utd at the end of their first season that kept them up, that with goal line technology would have relegated them as it didn't go in.  Get the luck sometimes as well.

Forest are a bigger club than Derby, and have a more successful history (their winning two European Cups back to back ranks above anything we have achieved). It's OK, given the size of the respective cities you would expect them to be, and seriously trying to claim the reverse because we had a bigger attendance on any given day makes us look a bit silly.

Only 70 games in 6 years at Coventry, then dropped to Oxford in 2022 and couldn't get a game, then dropped to League 2 where he's clearly done well.  I think there will be limited funds, so we will need to be careful giving contracts to players after a decent 6 months or Blackman syndrome. Especially plying trade two leagues below.  I still think loans from above in the striking option will be beneficial. Probably a loan or two with a fee for players who've got 15 goals in this league before with pace.  That leaves money to add goals and technique in midfield and more freedom on wage and contract length

Mel would still be here as it would the chance for the narcissistic nature to come to fruition.   Villa are a bigger club than Derby with more financial clout and had 100 million from one player to reinvest, so I doubt we'd be in their position without a lot more investment.  I imagine they're quite surprised.

Forsyth should have been moved on in after Wembley when he was hugely culpable with that half arse tackle that pulled Buxton out of position. He was the weakest player we had that season.  He was also absolutely drek against Sheff Wednesday when we had to win in 20/21 and his arse was saved by Pack and Waghorn.  He's proved a steady player at League 1 and needs to enjoy a two year retirement contract by the sea somewhere.  if he gets another contract here we are heading very much in the wrong direction.

Should have kept Knight and not sold him.  The fee was paltry and he would have stayed on promotion or we'd have got more in compo at the end of the season.  Miles better player than Bird.
