Indyram reacted to Eatonram in You're going to Wembley, but, You’re staying down😄
No sympathy for Wednesday. They cheated us out if a play off place. They’ve reaped what the sewed.

Notts County - after all they've been through but, as founder members and the oldest league club, they deserve to be in the Football League.

It's got to be the Magpies hasn't it? A proper club, 20,000 capacity. Like us, one of the founding dozen clubs.
They belong is L2 or L1 I would say based on their history.
I've got nowt against Chesterfield mind. Probably both have a stronger claim based on history than Wrexham.

Strange how things work out.
A few years back I thought Connor Dixon would make the breakthrough, just for his sheer attitude, and heard a podcast where a specialist scout thought Sebagabo would turn out to be the best player we'd ever bought through.
Good luck to all those young lads released, hope they can stay in the game somewhere.

Indyram reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Curtis
If yesterday was Curtis’ last game for the club his legacy as a Ram isn’t coloured by that one moment for me. He’s shown a level of commitment, pride and dignity throughout his time at the club. Guiding the team as captain on and off the pitch, patiently waiting for his opportunities when not in the side, playing a role in the community element, and putting his body on the line with that end of season return from injury. During a tumultuous period in the clubs history he’s been stoic and admirable throughout.

I watched him last week against Man City and he was very good.

Good. Put in one crunching tackle though that rightly earned him a yellow.
Didn't look out of place at the higher level.

No, I don't think so yet. Darren Robinson probably the closest in terms of strength and aggression. I think Dujaune Brown needs a season with under 21s. There was a left winger Davidson very quick and scored a fantastic goal, and good to see two taller centrebacks, one of whom interestingly was taking the corner kicks.
I like the look of the under 18s, a well balanced squad, unlike the 21s this season. Need to see some of those lads playing in a stronger side next year, see what they are capable of as it's hard to judge them on this season's performance.
Two great young goalkeppers, too. Promising and I've not given up on the Academy yet!

Thanks to everyone who has kept us informed about the progress of the Academy teams this season. Although it's been a tough slog for the youngsters, all the teams seem to be ending the season in a much better place than at the start of the season. Onwards and upwards!

Indyram reacted to richinspain in Championship | 22/23 Season
Parachute payments aren't a bad thing in themselves, it's the use of them by the relegated clubs that is the problem. The EFL say they want changes but the EPL say that they aren't a problem and aren't going to change anything. Surely the EFL should put in their rules methods that will force the clubs to use these payments as a "parachute" and not as an escape rocket.
Instead of allowing bigger losses they should limit them to at best the same. This would reduce allowable spending. If the club doesn't get promoted within three years then they will have to reduce their squad and running costs accordingly. Also it should be a written rule that any club breaking FFP when promoted (exclude promotion bonuses for example) will receive a points penalty in their first season on being relegated. The size of the penalty should be on a running scale for the amount of overspend.

Indyram reacted to Jourdan in Curtis
An absolute class act.
I hope he doesn’t get the Keogh or Roos treatment.
Some players just pass through, but he has really taken the club to heart. Let’s not forget how thrilled we were to see him sign a new contract last summer. He has built up that kind of connection with the club.
This season probably hasn’t gone as he would have expected, and today’s minute of madness probably underlined that.
But that doesn’t diminish years of great service. I hope he stays in the fold in some capacity. If not, he goes with nothing but complete respect and well wishes.

It was, and I'd have accepted if the striker had cracked it in the top corner, but he dived like a cheating Bamford giving Curtis no chance of redemption. Thanks Curtis, I'll aways remeber you like this

A great servant for the club. Horrible mistake today but he’s been a fantastic player whatever happens. Loved having him at Derby and sad if it’s his last match.

Indyram reacted to Comrade 86 in Curtis
Whatever happens now and notwithstanding his stated aim to do some work with the media, I'd love to see Curtis back at the club in some form of coaching role. He's such a rarity in modern football and I think more like him are needed to guide and shape the future at a time where fans are falling out of love with game. He's as honest, loyal and intelligent a player as you could wish to meet, but also an absolute warrior without ever being outright thuggish. I've all kinds of respect for the man.

Indyram reacted to Day in Curtis
Curtis has been a great servant of the club over the last 6 years, let's not forget that.
To end his Derby career like this, it's just hugely disappointing for everyone.
We can argue all summer over what he was doing there, end of the day it should not have been a penalty nor a red card.
Even if you give them the soft penalty, who knows what would happen with 11 men on the pitch.
It's over now though. Wish Curtis all the best in what comes next for him, be it on the pitch or in a studio.
Great guy. Massive shame.

You do realise that with 3 weeks to season starting we had 5 players? And by the time we could sign players all the better free agents, etc were snapped up. Every other team in the country was about 6 weeks or so ahead of us.

Indyram reacted to Warren Blufitt in Sheffield Wednesday (A) Sun 7th May, 12:00 KO
Unlucky guys, I genuinely couldn’t see you slipping up but sadly that’s how it goes. Hopefully Posh can do Wednesday now and if we do similar to Barnsley we won’t have to worry about the hoardes of Rams or Owls fans we’d face at Wembley because I don’t think many Wanderers fans can afford two trips to Wembley in one season. For what it’s worth it may not be a hardship for you leaving it another year to get up. You were limited in the players you could sign and late in the season it’s showed but give Warne a chance to build and you’ll certainly be pushing for the automatics next season and with a much stronger situation behind you. We’re also being pretty pragmatic about the play offs and it may also be a year early for us too so we may be challenging again next year also. Not much coming down so if it is Wendies going up it’s all to play for for both of us. Hopefully we’ll make it, on our day we can beat any of the others so we’ll just wait and see. Sorry you missed out this time but best of luck for next year, you’re far too big a club to be kicking round this level. 😉
