Great career, very good player for us. We may well have stayed up if he'd stayed beyond Jan.

I was just reading about Matt Clarke and the fact he’s not played for Middlesbrough for more than a year because of nerve damage in his back. Apparently he can’t even run without being in pain.
He played six games after signing for them from Brighton (£4.5m fee?) then hasn’t played since October 2022.
A real shame as I thought he was great at championship level. Hope he gets himself right. 

Me, too, especially Thomson because he is more experienced. I think he'll get his chance when he's fit again.
Could be really important for us next season with Hourihane and Smith gone.
 

Except he was doing this week in, week out for our academy for a long while. He came into the first team and because he wasn't immediately doing it for us there, a section of the fan base were straight on his back.
Morgan is a lovely, quiet guy - he did a lot of voluntary work with DCCT for example. He was hurt by the boo boys and it took him a while to recover his confidence. 
I hope he's a lesson learned for some of our brain dead fans, but I doubt it.

I was going back over to my mum's on Saturday afternoon to look after her. I timed my journey so that when the applause started I would be parked off the road in a beautiful little hamlet near mum's home called Dunstall. The light over the hilly countryside was so golden that afternoon. It made all the trees, fields and sheep and sky seem gilded with gold. Just when the applause started It seemed as though there was a moment when heaven and earth met briefly. Bless you, B4, this amazing moment summed you up.

I think I saw you speaking up for B4 perhaps on LTLF saying he was a true supporter who just had a little difficulty with words. It was in response to someone taking the piss. I really admired that. 

BTW I'm sorry for your loss chaps. I had only just seen the posts about B4 on your main thread.

one thing that does intrigue me 
The number of times i see on here “derby won , but so and so were rubbish” 
not a dig at u .. but at what point do we give our lads credit for making them look rubbish.
pressing , harrying them, being physical, out running them , winning challenges, getting in tight .. for too long these were things we didnt do which makes other team look bad.
while the football is crap, there is an ugly side to the game that allows u to win football matches
obviously we all want the football to he 200 times better but i think we do the lads a little dis service sometimes

I said months ago that if we can get into the top 6 by Christmas we'll be an attractive proposition for players that want to come in for a promotion push.  Last season we lost out due to still being under EFL restrictions, all the teams around us strengthened and we ran out of stamina. 
We've got some money this season and hopefully this season we've identified some players that can get us into the top 2.

Weve been v v average yet 6th spot, 6 points off top two and the gaffer will be able to strengthan in jan 
Were the big fish in this league and teams will be out to do us, the whole town come out when derby are in town fact… leeds had it, wendies had it 
Its other clubs big day out so its not been plain sailing , far from it especially when they come to PP (today being a perfect example) 
but despite being underwhelming were sat v v nicely ready for a second half of the season push
 
 

Despite some forum users sharpening their knives with a couple of minutes to go, it ended up being a good day at the office 🙂
Yeah the performances still aren't there, but we're in the top six, 6pts off the autos and making noises about January transfers - a better transfer window than last January could see us do well this season.
And Forest scored 2 and still lost at home.  Good day all round 😛 

Going to the pub on the way home from Nottingham station for a couple of celebratory pints whilst watching the dejected Forest fans reflecting on their latest defeat.

Victory…. And some still react thus…. Perhaps football isn’t the sport for them 🤔

Great to see the lads secure the win and to see B4 remembered so fondly and respectfully. Under pressure after the capitulation against Crewe, it wasn't pretty, but it's a result we earned against a stubborn enough opponent.
Top 6, a couple more arriving back off injury layoffs, two wins off the autos. B4 would have been bouncing for sure. Suspect he'd have quite enjoyed the Gumps getting beat yet again too 😂

Bittersweet with Martin scoring against us - but I think B4 would have been happy to have seen it was an ex Rams player- especially since we won! Well played Rams and look after Brian up there B4! 🙏
