Dordogne-Ram reacted to Carnero in Transfer rumours
Whether the Kellyman sell on is received up front or in instalments really doesn't matter too much, given that if we reinvested the fee in incoming transfer fees then these too would likely be staggered payments. It's pretty standard practice I believe.

And why was the shoulder high “tackle “ from Rudiger not called out as dangerous play?
Ah, a booking or a sending off would not have suited FIFA - the days of Sepp Blatter live on…

The main positive I have taken from tonight is that if Gareth Southgate somehow gets us through to a stage where we play Germany, then we won't have to put up with Attwell in the VAR room.....

Whether or not the VAR decisions were "correct" (in the eyes of the laws), does anybody really think that the game has got any better - or more enjoyable - since it was introduced? It’s not as if it’s taken ‘the human’ element out of the game, or the subjective nature of most (not all) decisions. So you’re still getting the controversy and disagreement about refereeing judgement… but with the added fun [sic] of taking an age for decisions to be made and sucking the fun out of things (football being a form of entertainment after all). It’s a no from me. Shame the EPL bottled it when they had the chance to get rid at the end of last season.

Bad refereeing here.
Considering the carnage the officials have caused you probably shouldn't be booking everyone for disagreeing with you. Especially as every 50/50 is going the same way

Just to bring things back to the actual thread topic…..
Someone ITK at Moor Farm’s best mate’s cousin reckons @Van der MoodHoover made the return journey from the airport to the accommodation in a Ford Focus….
Nicko the psychic octopus reckons it was a Corsa….

8 years old, walking up onto the Popside from the Vulcan Street entrance and seeing the BBG for the first time. We were mullered 1-7, Brian Clough and Peter Taylor played although I wasn't aware of that at the time. I think I just stood there gawping with mouth open for 90 minutes and couldn't wait for the next game.

Show me a poster who has drummed up more DCFC bejeweled enthusiasm (over the years I've been on this forum), (and constantly contributed to the club's coffers, for that matter) than the one you are (loosely) aiming these comments at, and I'll call BS!
There's arguably only been the one poster, and sadly, he's no longer with us.
You get a 👎 from me.

They found out the goals at Molineux had been too small for about 40 years. Did Leeds hit the post against them in 72. That would be an awful shame.

You'd be right and in the 70s it was a hair raising place to be if you weren't a Citeh fan

They absolutely do need looking at, because when you consider the knock-on affect this is going to have on youth development and player welfare in this country, it has the potential to be a massively destructive force.
Premier League clubs will start hoovering up more talent and hold bigger academy squads, because they will be able to use these as financial pawns later down the line because of the 'loophole' so even for players who probably aren't going to make it at the top level, i.e. Dobbin, then you can still move them on for big money because of an accounting policy. Kellyman was showing a lot of potential so that makes sense, but he joins a Chelsea squad that's deeper in young talent that any other club in the entire world.
The Premier League really need to consider the ramifications of their FFP model because this really is a toxic and clubs using young players as pawns for accounting reasons, self-imposed accounting reasons, isn't doing anything. The only way you can stop the ludicrous politics in football is bring in a hard-cap, otherwise you have all different teams working to all different parameters, pushing to compete and using any workaround they can find - to what end?

No it doesn't. It highlights the creative measures teams are going to in order to comply with the PSR in the Premier League.

You obviously never spent a Saturdy afternoon on the Kippax in the 70s along with fellow Derby fans. Great training session 😉

Dordogne-Ram reacted to KBB in Omari Kellyman
It's playing the system to get round ffp or whatever it is in the prem and its being done openly and in plain sight.
Academy prospects being used as pawns as ownership groups play chess to avoid sanctions and ao that can sign more big money internationals.
Imagine some of these young lads will then be loaned out, again making the club money for their balance sheets.
Football is not the game it was. Sad.

To be fair, when Collins was injured, they were saying it would be touch and go if he would be back before the end of the season. And they were surprised he came back as quick as he did. And in January, it’s well known that on deadline we’d agreed a loan but the loaning club cancelled the deal at the last minute as their signing fell through.
