Parry said in his speech after accepting such a prestgious and deserving award, " I just want to thank my permed mate Gibson for giving me the confidence to retrospectively punish a club we gave the go ahead to proceed in how they accounted for their stadium sale and amortisation policy. We began a witch hunt that started in Jan 2020, and we brought in the finest experts. The guy who compared Morecambes stadium to Pride Park, the expert had true experience in his area. But my personal favourite was mister Pope, even more loved than the actual Pope in EFL HG about lecturing us about his academic interpretation of FRS102.

When the first verdict went against us, we went again, put a lot of resources into getting a gulity verdict, all the while when clubs like Macclesfield went bust. We eventually thanks to a panel of Lawyers with no accounting experience, got them to adjust their accounts accordingly. We penalised them, and what followed was admin, points deductions, transfer embargoes, my permed mates cheque from Mel, while holding the club to Ransom, and the inevitable relegation to League 1. It was glorious and could not have done it without Gibson".

For me the most hypocritical thing they've done was the rule change on the amortisation of player.  It stated on the EFLs minutes it was a rule change.

This centres around the justification of the resubmission of the accounts and us subsequently failing FFP.  Had this not of happened no Boro or Wycombe cases, Mel would of probably been able to sell the club etc.

The whole house of cards came crashing down as a result, transfer embargos.  Admin  losing valuable players for nothing instead of fees.

This needs looking into, Admin may have accepted the decision without the right to appeal.  This rule change since surely is justification that we were ducked over and there was no justification....

Was thinking about this. If there is ever an independent football regulator appointed, could they look into this? Its absolute corruption what these parasites have done to the club.

I’m hoping for the perfect trilogy

     Notts Forest lose in play-offs

     Leeds relegated

     Wycombe lose in play-offs

Already got Middlesbrough missing out on the  play offs in the bag

I agree about Boro, Leeds and Forest, thats the real trio. I see Wycombe more as an added bonus, don't really care about that tinpot club.

I've done my best to stay positive through this fiasco but I'm struggling now. Today felt like it was a big big moment and we'd finally some good news but with the twitter morons on top of the 'nothing happening' news it is just utterly dispiriting. Doesn't even sound like we are expecting any developments, just hoping for one if something somewhere gives.

I agree, the tweet from Georgia Roberts about having a meeting to see if there is any progress tomorrow has not filled me with any hope. I woke up today genuinely with hope that this would finally be resolved, but it looks like CK is setting himself up now to walk away.

  5. I know the next 48 hours are critical for CK's takeover, but what kind of deals can you finalise on a Saturday(mostly in relation to the stadium), as its not classified as a business day. Surely that means tomorrow is absolutely crucial? Suppose there must be a reason his exclusivity ends Sat midnight.
