Anyone can join Ramstrust, anyone can stand for any position in Ramstrust - it is anything but a closed shop. And I kind of agree with @sage on this one, it sometimes feels like fans expect to be asked to approve everything they do but it seems there are very few who actually want to do the work needed to write up the statements, engage with the club and fans. If you don't like how Ramstrust, or any other supporter body, operates then join and help it be what you want it to be. If you don't, you've kind of snookered yourself. But the point remains, even if many don't feel it is the case, RT never can claim to be more than the voice of their members. And I don't think the club or anyone who takes a moment to think about it could see it any other way.

agree    hoskins did not suggest we might exit admin in 3 weeks.  But that clown Simon Jordan - in summarising Hoskins' comments - did suggest that. I think Hoskins was probably saying that within 3 weeks they would know whether they would exit by a sale of the shares in the club or by a sale of the club's business to a phoenix company owned by the buyer. That turns I guess on whether a deal can be done with unsecured creditors and with the pond life litigants, boro and WW. In part he was sending a message to the pond life that if they don't settle for a sensible pittance, then the admins will side step them by selling to a phoenix

I think his reference to 3 weeks was to have a firmed up exit plan.  Indicated aim by end of the year but could see it being 1st week in January - either of which would be fantastic as it gives us scope in the transfer window

Yes, that’s how I understood it - a preferred bidder being an element of a firmed up exit plan

Have to say I’m really impressed with the administrator Andrew Hoskings.  Clear communication, focused on delivering a successful exit plan and consistently referred to the club as “we”
Confirmed that Kirchner will be at the Blackburn game on Saturday so we need to make Pride Park rock again ?

Well I listened to it live.  Really positive from Andrew Hosking, made it clear Kirchner is front runner given that he’s moving faster than the other parties, also that he really knows his stuff about football business etc and were really impressed with him and his advisors, and his attention to detail. We can banish any notion now this guy is another Alonso. Everyone saying he is a man of significant wealth and as I and others have made the point he’s at the forefront of tech in logistics that could be game changer and expand extremely quickly.

Trevor Sinclair is a blunt instrument asked two pointless stupid questions. Jordan was on the money I thought as you would expect as he’s knows his stuff in this area, and probed and asked all the right questions. Only thing he was wrong on is us  being relegated and having to take our medicine in League 1 before we move forward!! No chance - we’re staying up!!

If Tepper wants Derby, he'll have it. He's apparently worth more than Abramovic. Of all the names bandied about, only Michael Dell could outbid him. I'd love to think there's substance to the rumours, but where he's concerned, I've only seen Twatter conjecture, nothing solid.
As for the other fella, he isn't a billionaire, nor need he be. I do wonder whether he knows some big fish are circling and is maybe trying to get out front and centre with the fans as a strategic move. He may also be fronting a consortium. FWIW, the comparisons to young Erik are pretty unfair. They are worlds apart!
Also, and in fairness to folks who have mentioned his financial wherewithal, I think it's mostly been because of the Nixon 'billionaire' reference, not out of greed, perceived necessity or any sense of entitlement. Indeed, it seems to me that the overriding sense right now is one of relief that there are folk interested at all. Many on here assumed that nobody would touch the club, so it's something positive to hold onto, for the time being at least, amid all the doom and gloom.

A lot of companies are structured to run off debt …. and do it very successfully. So in my opinion whether this bloke is a billionaire or not is irrelevant - particularly in the championship. The killer question is does he have access to suitable and sustainable funds (debt or equity), does his business model allow him to service the debt (and make investments in the right areas). If the investors confident of earning a decent return over time and in the case of debt investor -  that when their debt matures the business will be able to pay that back……dare I say it….. with new debt and a different interest rate - then so what. As others have pointed out, having wealthy owner -  in the world of P&S is more challenging and ends up with higher risk strategies - where the owner maybe tries to stretch the boundaries beyond the affordable in the knowledge he could fund the higher consequence outcomes from personal wealth for a period of time.
Right now, I feel we’re crying out for someone who tries to run our club as a long term sustainable business - lives within the means - creates a stable environment for the management team to plan and evolve the team with investment. Rooney has made shrewd signings without a pot to p in so it’s proven he doesn’t need millions - he just needs to have clear communication from the club and know what he can work with in advance and plan accordingly.  And yes I’m sure that model will include selling players at the right price and the right time.
Whether Kirchner is the right man for the job - I don’t know. But at least he’s been communicated his intent and given us all something to get excited/cynical about!!
