There must be some empathy from other clubs with the situation Derby are in, the history of our club and how helpless we are with our situation. If there were five or six loans of top players they could help the club, those not getting a first-team chance, some players that fancy making history, then why not? Wayne has such respect in the game, maybe he could beg PL teams to loan players to us, with the likelihood we need to win every game next year to stay up. What about Newcastle letting us borrow Dwight Gayle, West Ham's Andriy Yarmolenko, Leicester's Marc Albrighton, United's Juan Mata and Matic etc. assemble a team that could win every game and the eyes of the football world would be on them.

As Igor has said 'Nothing is impossible in football, and in life'. If there is the smallest possibility we will stay up, even with the extra minus 9 points, I'm in. Leicester proved so many people wrong. I know it's extremely unlikely but it just could happen. Depends really on how the team play on Sunday. If they are up for it, the crowd will respond and possibly game on! Eccles the forever optomist!  UTR

Seeing as the EFL, PL etc., are ignoring the fact that the rest of the clubs in the Championship are only there to make up numbers, could supporters' groups from this division take their own action as a fan demonstration. No away support at Fulham, Bournemouth, WBA and Sheffield United? Like many, I was disgusted with the price increase by Sheffield United, but if jointly all away supporters boycotted their grounds and even limited the number of tickets allocated for them when they play away, that may be a start of a message clubs aren't going to stand for this any more?

My argument is that the only way this will ever change is through fan power, media and journalists. That's why the European Super League collapsed. Another gripe is that QPRs punishment of £41m, well that ended up getting paid by Parachute Money, so they suffered absolutely nothing and only the Rams did. And where did that money go, same with the fines to Bournemouth and Leicester? Certainly not distributed to the clubs.

Fulham centre forward on £100,000 per week which is more than the entire team he is facing every week, doesn’t seem fair or affordable without parachute money.

Well the EFL can actually do something about this and extremely quickly because as we know they make things up as they go along yet they only talk the talk about nasty parachute money.
they could for next season instantly say that any club receiving parachute payments automatically receive a 16 point handicap  deduction at the start of the season - the clubs can either accept the money if they need it or decline it, it’s so simple to do.

Parachute payments have long since outlived their original purpose, i.e. to act as a financial safety net for relegated clubs to be able to continue to pay expensive players' wages and any outstanding transfer fee installments from their time in the Premier League. Instead, they've simply become a war chest for relegated clubs to buy and pay players far beyond the reach of other Championship clubs, thereby gaining a significant advantage. Personally, I'd either:
    a) - Scrap them and just pool the combined money to be shared out throughout the EFL. If relegated clubs can't afford to pay players, that's their own fault, just like any other Championship club.
    b) - If the principle of financial support for relegated clubs is maintained, the money should be held centrally by an independent body and money only released on a monthly basis for the sole purpose of paying existing outgoings such as players wages and transfer fee installments. New players and their wages would have to be paid for by the relegated club themselves, not by the fund (again, like any other Championship club).
You simply can't have any form of financial fair play whilst allowing some clubs to receive massive payouts from a third party (i.e. the Premier League); it's a contradiction in terms.

Of most importance is to finish this season as a good, confident and winning team with building blocks in place. Maybe we go down five points adrift, but it sets us up for the climb back. Clubs that struggle to return quickly are the ones rebuilding, especially in confidence. This next six months defines us for the next five seasons.

Leicester of course just continued to cheat and did very well out of it. Avoiding any points deductions.
A club now lorded as the plucky little underdog who made it big.
A truly detestable club. Their bin robbing fans refuse to acknowledge the complete cheating bastary employed in their rise from div 3.
