GB SPORTS reacted to Van der MoodHoover in Birmingham relegated.
Got to love the 2,000 Norwich fans baiting the home crowd with
"Que sera sera
Whatever will be will be
You're going to Shrewsbury
Que sera sera"
🤣

That's why I can celebrate this, I can laugh. I'd never wish what our club and fans went through on anyone, they did they celebrated it happening to us. Now us being the league above them? That'll do.

GB SPORTS reacted to Crewton in Birmingham relegated.
They're not in Administration and they've got hugely wealthy owners. They'll survive. When they took the piss out of us, we were on the brink of oblivion and their taunts must have made some of our more vulnerable fans even lousier, so I think we're allowed a bit of schadenfreude at their expense.

I’m not going to take delight in the suffering of any set of fans.
They will be hurting, like we were.

GB SPORTS reacted to Matchday Fred in Summer transfer suggestion thread
I texted the DCFC press officer yesterday to ask if I can have details on next seasons transfer budget.
He replied promptly with ‘no you can’t’. You’d expect the press officer to be able to spell ‘can’t’ wouldn’t you ?

GB SPORTS reacted to MadAmster in South Stand...surely its time for proper stand names!
I did once suggest QPR name one of their stands the R's end... they never replied 😉

GB SPORTS reacted to 23081986 in South Stand...surely its time for proper stand names!
How about:
West Stand - Clough & Taylor Stand
East Stand - Dave Mackay Stand
That honours our managers who've won the league.
South Stand - Wilmorton End - traditional football ground feel to it.
North Stand - keep it as it is/save it for Clowes

City messed up, and named the stands behind each goal at Maine Rd after Tony Book

GB SPORTS reacted to G STAR RAM in Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
Hate to say it and it makes me feel sick, I'd back Forest over that pub headed p****.
I wish nothing but misfortune on him and his club.

GB SPORTS reacted to rammieib in New investment
Clowes Developments makes in the region of £20m profit a year looking at their accounts. It’s an extremely well run business.
That company is pumping £5m a season roughly so far into the club to break it even. They have the money to do this whilst we operate on that structure. The Championship increases our revenues by circa £10m but so also brings a huge increases in costs.
DC (through his company) buying the club is 100% a sentiment thing to stop us going under. There is no way in any business sense he buys us as a business to make money. I honestly don’t think people truly understand just how much he has saved us.
My curiosity is that when you ‘look for an investor’ - what does that look like? Clowes Developments sells 49% stake in DCFC (not the stadium) for X amount to an investor and in return the investor agrees to invest an additional sum of money into the club, possibly spread over a certain time frame?
Again, I don’t see anyone doing this to make money - more they see DC as someone they can work with and trust. My issue with joint ownership models is how well they work out when conflict occurs.

GB SPORTS reacted to Anag Ram in Paul Warne
We are all expressing our own opinions on here. They are often opinions without background knowledge.
We have no idea how players have performed in training, what’s going on in their personal lives, who’s a good influence and who isn’t.
So there is every possibility that we are wrong. That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t have our say, or indeed that other ’experts’ should tell us we are wrong, or even stupid.
I am quite happy to admit that I was a complete arse in doubting Collins’ ability to score goals this season.
I have been a strong critic of Sonny Bradley, and whilst some of that was justified, I’m delighted at the way he has played at the end of the season.
We’re all fallible but please let’s be more respectful of other opinions. Just as we don’t know much about the players’ private lives, you never know what posters on here are going through and how a casual slur can affect them.

GB SPORTS reacted to Walkley Ram in Paul Warne
I've been called all sorts too. Like you, I'm happy to brush it off, but it was getting pretty toxic in here. Rather than stop posting, I just reeled in my thoughts on things for a while. Tried to focus on the positives. Tried to have a laugh when things were bad, as well as good.
I think most of what you say is absolutely spot on, for what it's worth.

Fa cup at city ground being 2-0 down and winning 3-2. Gets eclipsed by other Derby games. Echo the soton semi; epic night of football that had everything.

GB SPORTS reacted to DerbyPride12 in Games That Aren't Talked About Enough
Derby 2 Birmingham 2 was a great game, just as we were on the brink of going under.
I remember the atmosphere at Pride Park being immense. Was my son's first Derby game too.

Millwall away play off semi final, everyone that went had a story to tell after; the football was pretty good too.
