My friend has not long left of his life, He has terminal cancer and has maybe only weeks to live.  He had his first season ticket when he came out of the army in the mid fifties, and has had it every season since, and then when he married in 1963 his wife had one too, they never missed a home match, but then covid came along and they have not been again. We have a mutual friend who lives in the USA he is in the UK this week end and is taking my friend to what is likely to be his last match ever. I'm just hoping if there are any protests it wont affect the match. So please spare a thought or a prayer if your so minded on Saturday. I wont say his name as he hated social media as much as he loved the Rams. So UP THE RAMS  P will be thinking of you.

Unfortunately BAWT have made it a blame game with their statement and reason to stay after the players are in the grd..... MM refusal to take a haircut on the grd....
In no way am I defending his actions as I've stated elsewhere in the Mel or bust thread that if he's still involved I would not go to any home games again, but if he 'paid' £80m for the grd and the reported £20m for purchase effectively goes straight to MSD to clear the loan then he is getting zero from it and actually lost £80m. I know that the whole financial mess is of his doing before I get slated, but we don't actually know what the situation is in the bids and grd sale.

No problem with showing the support to the players.
But, is it factually correct that MM is the sticking point with the grd? Have Q come out and said it, have the remaining interested parties said it or is it purely journalistic speculation?
I have never been expecting to hear anything this week until after the EFL mtg today, and not necessarily today, maybe tomorrow.

Rick Parry is equally culpable as Gibson and Morris.

If you read their timeline, they were reviewing bids over the weekend and then discussing them with the EFL “early this week” before announcing the PB. “Early this week” is of course open to interpretation but I reckon it includes at least Monday and Tuesday. So, whilst Q have indicated many failed expected timelines in the past, I think Tuesday evening is a little early to be accusing them of bullshitting on this occasion. If we’ve not heard anything by the the end of the week then your comments may be valid.
I reckon, they should avoid radio silence and if they’re still not able to announce the PB by the end of week they should issue some kind of update along the lines of:
    1) Details of PB discussed with the EFL and we await their response (the ball is firmly in the EFL’s court)
    2) PB agreed with the EFL, just a few minor details to be finalised before able to announce. Expected timeline is……
or 3) PB discussed with the EFL and there are issues that need to be resolved or discussions are still ongoing (coded message for either the EFL didn’t like any of the preferred bidders or the terms of their bid and we’ve had to go back to try to get them increased)
In short, I accept there may still be a reason why they can’t announce a PB but they shouldn’t keep us completely in the dark

At this minute we know nothing and won’t know anything until the admins meet the EFL.
Sharing articles from ‘Football League World’, Alan Nixon or any of that ilk that is telling us what we already know/presume is only going to create more panic and everyone blowing up saying ‘well something should be happening right now’
Don’t play the the clickbait journalists game, it will all comes out through trusted channels when it needs to

One of the posters saying that no bidder would risk the Boro claims was me, said people were living in fantasy land if they thought anyone would just tell Gibson to eff off, regardless that the claim seemed like (and was) baseless nonsense.
You say the administrators didn't foresee that or deal with that quickly enough, but of course they did. Their idea to resolve it was cross-class cramp down - a perfectly valid legal solution, so why should they anticipate the EFL refusing it? Of course that's hindsight speaking!
Would love to know exactly what power you think they had to remove the claims any other way?  Oh right... talking to people more! They could have clarified things with the EFL before the meeting, but then what? They'd still be at an impasse with no way forward until the claims were dealt with.
They could talk until they were blue in the face, but it wasn't in their gift to make Morris/Gibson come to an agreement, they can't force other people to act!
Now the people living in fantasy land are the ones who are thinking that the administrators could have moved things along any quicker than they did up to the point of the EFL stealth-admitting they held a position in support of Boro (remember they claimed for months to know nothing of the claim!) and the actions taken by MM / Gibson.
The EFL/Gibson had a clear plan to keep all this running as long into January as possible. The damage caused by that is significant, resulting in further delays and problems that we are dealing with currently.
Not that I expect you to accept that as fact, given your stance in past discussions.
I'm not saying you criticism of Quantuma isn't valid, but I am still going to say you're being unrealistic in your expectations - as perhaps Quantuma have also been.

Yep its quite funny - you can tell he is sick to the back teeth of people asking as he cant tell them anything! Then these articles rehash what he is guessing. One thing seems obvious though - Admins dont trust EFL and want to delay telling them anything as late as possible. Strange that

So insolvency law says that firms in administration cannot extend contracts? And that firms in adminstration have to be deducted 21 points to make things harder for them ? And insolvency law says firms have to deal with dodgy claims from business rivals whilst in administration? Actually I think it says the opposite.

Just PR, no matter how many times you try to sound clever by trotting it out as evidence they don't know what they're doing.
If they kept mumbling about getting the best deal for creditors there'd be an avalanche of idiots getting mardy that they have no consideration for the club's future. It might please you to hear them state what their job is on a regular basis -  although probably not actually, you'd find fault whatever they said - but they have to pay some lip service here and there.
It's a difficult balance to achieve, putting out statements that appeal to / appease all of the uninformed, the moderately informed, and the over-informed who think they know better.
They can't really win, the only thing anyone actually wants them to say is that the deal is completed, their work is done, they've waived their fees, and the new owner will take things from here. Anything else, everything else, is treated with contempt due to people's impatience.

How can the administrators be accused of mismanagement, if bidders are not prepared to submit bids to clear the bar that is not their fault.

As owner of the stadium Mel has to be involved in the final transactions and agreements. If he was spotted at PP over the weekend that is good news to me.

I think if MM is directly involved in anything other than just the stadium ownership (and hopefully that involvement includes ultimately relinquishing said ownership - and soon) them my support (for what it's worth) for the club won't waver (it can't - both mine and my wife's family history are enmeshed within the club) - but there will be an element of 'through gritted teeth' until the man is a (very large and very troubled) footnote in the club's history.

Did 10,000 march to Pride Park to show the world we want to #savederbycounty just to walk away if one man is involved in saving the club even if he was responsible for nearly killing it. Personally I dont think so,because like me they feel the club and team comes first

Everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinions but, as I said in an earlier post, the club is far more important to me than any single person and, if he was still at the club, I personally wouldn't let his involvement stop me coming to PP and supporting my team.
