Square pegs? He's expecting both Jags & Curtis to be ball playing centre-halves - not something that they are naturals at....He's picking Roos for his ball-playing ability - something he may show in training, but something he's incapable of doing in pressure situations.....He's playing Bird & Shinnie next to each other which, as we've seen over many games, limits both of them....He's playing Morrison to give us quality going forward, but Morrison is then having to drop back to in front of the centre-halves to get the ball because Bird & Shinnie aren't doing the basics as CDMs...Last night he played Sibley on the right which dramatically limited his effectiveness....He played Tom Lawrence who at times looks more like a square peg than a professional footballer - always on his heels and more often looking for a fight rather than looking to hurt the opposition with his play....
As far as shots on target, maybe we did have as many as they did - who scored the most goals and got the 3 points?

I posted on here a few years ago when they were struggling that the McLarens always have a decent chassis and would be competitive with a decent engine - taken a while, but really delighted with the result today.
As for Mardy Max - I don't care what's gone on before, his actions could have killed another driver today and he couldn't even be bothered to check if Hamilton was o.k. as he sulked back to the pits - what a scummy human being.....

The way we currently play, or blasting it at Baldocks bonce……that’s it I’m afraid!

Where did I say that? I intimated that the play it out from the back, tippy tappy approach is beyond our players and puts them under too much pressure. A change of formation might put round pegs in round holes and let us play through the midfield. Can I politely suggest you watch a bit more football where you may discover there are many ways for a team to set up rather than just the two you seem to comprehend….

I’ve watched Chelsea play with a similar approach to playing out from the back since Tuchel arrived - it’s scary when they do it and their players are many, many levels better than ours….
Wazza is being a dick if he thinks we have anywhere near the quality to play the way he wants to - a huge dose of pragmatism needed and a change to play to our strengths (limited though they may be) rather than some theoretical approach that we’re simply not up to….

I didn't say we should accept it - we should however consider a compromise if it allows the club to move forward. The alternative is to potenttially be our current predicament next season - but in League One.....

Not sure you're correct there - the EFL clearly want to dish out some punishement. If it was clearcut breach of FFP, they'd work out the penalty and we'd get points docked. They're clearly intending to hit us with a punishment for something where the punishment isn't set in stone (or their reading of the situation is contrary to ours) so they expect us to appeal any points deduction.
I'm sure neither side want this to drag on any longer or the punishemnt would have been announced and we'd be back to the appeal court already, so it makes sense to discuss any proposed sanctions and see if an agreement can be reached.
In reality, the only way the club can move forward is to put this whole saga to bed asap and the problem for the EFL is that the longer this drags out, the more ridiculous they'll look if we get off scot free (a possibility if it goes to appeal) - that means the club talking to the EFL and trying to agree a compromise where both sides can walk away with some credibility.....

Are you new here? ? We have a number of posters who will continue their campaigns to be proven right for as long as they are able to type.....I would however agree with @Stive Pesley (which is unusual in itself) that there is (and should still be) life in the thread...
I would, for example, expect there to be a discussion regarding vacine doses and whether the UK should be sending more to poorer nations rather than saving for booster jabs in this country - unfortunately some folk prefer to show off their knowledge of US politics or to highjack the thread with political point scoring rather than discuss the big issues....if they could control themselves, we might have a shorter but more engaing discussion with a larger number of posters (and therefore generate far more puns - which is what we're all really here for in the end.....)

The phrase was used readily by my long time Scottish mate to refer to anyone who was somewhat vain in the area of personal grooming, or who did something especially weak.

I could perhaps have used the phrase "the big, vainglorious, lacking in substantive robust physicality individual", just to be absolutely clear.

    But didn't.

There is no linkage to homosexuality in the etymological derivation of the term that I can find and nor was any inferred.
