I see on the latest predicted table we end up finishing third!

Is this not just a fan that’s stuck some scores in rather than actual computerised results?

It has Portsmouth not losing another game which would be some going considering they still have Blackpool, Peterborough, Bolton and Wycombe away. Not to mention us and Barnsley at home.

Not sure what constitutes a “happy clapper” really but I’d count myself as a patient and mostly optimistic fan. I’m not as upset, opposed or offended by Warne as some are. I simply accept he’s the manager for the moment and get on with following the team aware of his limitations and the level we’re currently at due to circumstance. I’m also aware that I don’t have the financial or time related commitments some do as my own situation means I can only make a handful of games in person each season, however knowing my own mind I think I’d still be of the same mindset if I was living in Derby and able to go each week, it’s just how I choose to be.

Interesting thought for me this…would I be less frustrated if I didn’t watch every game? Probably yes…but the trouble is I do watch every match and it’s been a long old slog this year to the point where I genuinely questioned after Tuesday night if I’m going to go tomorrow.

    Obviously I’m going though…

We need 5 at the back, a sweeper and 3 defensive midfielders for this one. Port Vale are a really good team and have athletes all over the park and good players at this level. 3 months ago they passed the ball through midfield so we’ll need to avoid that area at all costs. Make it into a battle and get it wide and whip it in for the big man up front. Keep this tight and hope to nick one late on then add another defender. It’s a tough game and they’ll have some fans there so we are probably the underdogs and must approach the game with caution.

Don’t think I can take another season of Warneball, irrespective of the division we are in.

It definitely plays in to my decision. It’s just not enjoyable at the minute. Last night was just everybody around me moaning. Why do we do it to ourselves! 😂

Not heard the interview with Warne, but did he really say we hadn’t played well all season? I’m not sure I’d disagree with him (although there must have been a few decent, albeit probably ‘functionally good’ performances) but seems an odd thing for a manager to say.  Did he take responsibility for that? Did he give any reasons for why it might be the case? All very odd.

I can’t remember him saying that as I was still trying to recover from what I’d just witnessed, but I do remember him saying that the first 20 minutes today was the best we’ve played this season…which sums up how bad the football has been this season.

  6. I can’t put in to words how bad that was.

I’d say we have the best squad in the league on paper, but they’re playing at their absolute worst.

Appreciate Charlton have a decent squad, but they hadn’t won in 19 games. Low on confidence and should have been a comfortable 3 points.

Obviously Warne is going nowhere soon, but we are not moving forward as a football club. We should be looking for a young coach that can help develop our younger players with a good style of football as Warne is not the long term answer.

I think a few will be thinking like you, you know what B4 would be saying

Yep I do know what he’d be saying!

I’m sure when it comes down to it I’ll end up renewing but right now it’s not that 100% yes that I’ve had every other season.

  8. Anyone else split on whether to renew this season?

I think I’m on 9 consecutive seasons, having had 2 years off when I was at university before that.

I don’t think the increase is that bad, something like £3 a game for me.

I’m just at a point where I have a young family that are too young to attend matches and I get a lot of stick when I go to games from the other half!

Then also the football…I just don’t think I’ve really enjoyed many games this season. I remember when I couldn’t wait all week for the match but now it hurts me to say I could happily take it or leave it.

I’m siding to not renewing and just picking games that interest me or getting an away membership?

Worrying issue here is their transfer window is currently open

It would only be worrying if he was out of contract this summer and could force us in to getting something now rather than nothing in the summer.

We have full control of the situation with him having over 2 years left on his contract and there is absolutely no way Derby let him go at this point when he’s often carried us through games and won points on his own.

I can’t even see him leaving next season unless we’re offered daft money.

    Load of balls!

No point rocking the boat now, whether he gets us up or not, shake hands at the end of the season wish Warne well, then go our separate ways.

Not good enough, 6/10 (C-) football that reminds you of a trip to the dentist.

We’ll lose somewhere between 2 or 3 thousand off the gates next year if he’s still in charge, serving up this warm diarrhoea.

    My mood tonight = 😞

Clowes won’t part ways with Warne. He will give him until 10+ games of next season before even considering a change.

It will definitely hit the attendances next season though, either way whether we’re in the Championship or League One.

It’s not good when I enjoyed our relegation season under Rooney more than this season. I genuinely came away from that season happy with performances on the pitch.

Still find this a slightly strange choice for Max. Bristol City never seem to be going anywhere. He's back on loan with us too, so misses half a season back in the Championship. It's not that unlikely that we get promoted and start next season on a similar level to them.

I think they’re a pretty safe Championship club at the minute who are looking up the table. We’re miles off that.

My surprise is why he didn’t wait until the summer and then you’d think a top 6 Championship side would fancy him.

You never know, he may have been asked by Derby to accept Bristol’s offer as it was the best for Derby in the shorter term.

The only think that worries me with the loan with him having 2 years left on his contract is if the loan goes well he'll go back and play for his parent club at the end of the season

Nah, he will just do a George Thorne and declare his love for Derby and refuse to play for Cardiff. There will be a stalemate between clubs but once it reaches 1,000 pages on here a deal will be made.
