There’s no way we can sit this deep for another 25 mins plus without conceding.

This is a big shame. Whilst he was very rusty against Portsmouth, he looked a really positive player with his balls forward and wasn’t afraid to take risks.
I was hoping he could keep Hourihane out of the team but looks like we’re back to square one.
-
I’ve thought for a while that he’s not got the stamina to be effective for even 70 minutes and with his international call ups I’d imagine he will become more of a sub impact player.
He potentially could be playing against Notts County on 10th Oct then flying to the Caribbean and Panama to play on 14th and 18th to then fly back and be part of the team against Shrewsbury on 21st and Exeter on 24th.
Potentially 5 games in 2 weeks with over 24 hours of flying. No chance of any training or talking tactics.
It’s a weird one as many retire from international duty at his age, but I think he will likely keep going as long as they want him with the late call up and club football will take the back seat.

I thought she was great. Remember they don’t have VAR so that must affect their decision making knowing whatever they decide is final without any help.
When Collins was booked today we would have seen many of the other refs from League One send him off and totally ruin the game.
It made me laugh when our fans were moaning she didn’t let Hourihane back on the pitch after being injured…you have to be off a minimum of 30 seconds I think now after injury…often as fans we don’t actually know the rules but moan like we do!

Wasn't Camron Jerome deadline day and not very good? Although I might just be thinking of disappointment rather than anger.
16th Jan apparently. Although didn’t realise we paid £1.5m for him…probably felt like church change at the time.

Why have we took on a player who’s injured and about to serve a 3 game ban. Not played since December, I’m not liking the sound of this. Someone give some positives about him please.
Surely his ban is over now?

Looks like he didn’t play again for Sunderland after getting sent off in December last year against Hull?

We were 2nd when he cam and finished 8th. We then finished 5th and 9th.
Without him 3rd and sitting second. With him dropped to 8th and then went 5th and 9th. Not successful.
I think there was a lot of issues at the club at that time and he still finished our top scorer that season and scored some important goals.
As I said not many successful deadline day signings for us but in that loan period when we got him he was.

Ince was a poor signing in terms of how we played. Ince and Bent were the start of the decline. Not team players.
Agreed it wasn’t a great period but I think it shows more how bad our signings have been over the last 10 years or so that he was a highlight.
I also was considering we sold him for a profit as part of being a success…because there isn’t many more of them!

Yes that was a strange one. Came with zero expectation but was still a disappointment 😂

Best and worst deadline day signing we’ve ever had?
Best - I think Tom Ince signed on loan on deadline day in Feb 2015 and is about as successful as we’ve been from memory!
Worst - Baningime on loan from Everton. I was reminded of it the other day and couldn’t actually remember him but it was only 2 years ago…since he moved to Hearts and has played like 20 games in 2 years.

How long does he have left on his contract?
Also where has the fee of a couple of million come from? Perhaps if Peterborough are becoming desperate to not lose him for free and there’s not the interest they expected, it might be a much smaller fee than most expect.

We look a different side in the last 2 games. Defence is calming down and looks a lot more settled.
Having Smith in midfield rather than defence.
Nyambe and Fornah will be key this season if they can stay fit.
We just need somebody who can unlock a defence in January. Teams are coming to PP for a point or to snatch a win, so we need to be able to break that down and then we should be fine.
